  1. The Daniel Bryan story is fascinating because it's the root of the current insanity. Daniel Bryan got over *despite* their inept booking and unwillingness to push him as a top guy. After Roman Reigns got rejected one too many times as the top guy by an audience who only wanted Daniel Bryan, they gave in and pushed Daniel Bryan to the top. And *then*, because they can't face the truth/reality, they managed to worked themselves into a total denial mental scheme in which all of this was actually the plan from the start and the fact they buried Daniel Bryan was actually the way they got him over *by design*. Which of course, is complete bullshit and mental damage control. But they got so buried in their own insanity and denial that since then they actually believe the way to push someone is to have him lose all the time. Because "it worked" for Daniel Bryan. Total, complete insanity.
  2. And anyway : marriage doesn't prevent sexual abuse. Women get sexually abused and raped by their husbands too. So there. Like I said, stupid bullshit which is indeed total victim shaming to begin with.
  3. I am actually quite excited about current pro-wrestling, but as far as the board goes, the futur certainly looks a bit bleak, and it's sad. Social medias did kill this kind of environment which was a lot more than quick posting of a 150 words and vanity tagging people.
  4. Because this trash has nothing to do on PWO, that's why. *Especially* in this thread.
  5. Assholes always "find religion" later in life. i.e Shawn Michaels and many others. And then they aren't assholes anymore, see... Well, they can be anti-ask douchebags like Road Dogg and such still though... Also, Twitter mobs don't "deal" with sexual predators at all. Twitter mobster are awful, cowardly people "dealing" with anybody and anyone without the slightest idea of what they are talking about. "Popular justice" is always terrible because it has nothing to do with justice. Victims coming out and speaking out are dealing with sexual aggressors. They are the ones making things move.
  6. Oh yeah, the guy who basically made up the laughable "shoot fight" story between Ivelisse and Thunder Rosa, which was basically a big nothing being blown totally out of proportion, including by your own self on Twitter with stupid gifs and whatnot (basically pushing your Ivelisse witch hunt agenda, for whatever reason, which came off creepy as fuck tbh). Hey, at least *he* admitted to it a few days later. Don't bother reporting me to the mods like the last time I called you out on your bullshit though (yeah, I have not forgotten), I'm not even having an argument with you, just pointing out cold facts here. Yeah, I'd be glad when we get less bullshit on this board, honestly, between this kind of stuff and the Social Media Trial bullshit (like the Ospreay thing for instance, but that's not the only one), I'm not feeling the vibe around the board where it's getting more and more "Twitter said", until basically we basically all have to end up on the damn thing if there's no difference of tone (well, I won't because Twitter is not a healthy place at all).
  7. Yumiko Hotta would have blindsided her.
  8. This and this. I have no idea what to say to people who did not enjoy it apart from "You're watching the wrong show." And damn, MJF can sing ! This, the Eddie promos (that guy, shows up a few months ago and is now main eventing a PPV.... picture him signing with WWE now and have a laugh), the AWESOME Omega entrance and entire "match" including post-match, the fact the Lucha Brothers had an insanely great TV match despite the fact Fenix ganso-bombed himself from the top rope... Hopefully Reynolds is ok. It was almost surreal to see him not move and it's like people around him were like "Hey, great selling man !". Him and Silver really can shine way above their level, Silver especially has "cult favourite" written all over him (of course it was obvious to anyone watching BTE).
  9. The mere idea that WWE would pay for using the Abyss gimmick, which has easily been one of the worst character of the last 20 years and the posterboy of everything crappy in TNA, says a lot about their total creative bankruptcy. Banking on TNA nostalgia. Ponder that one for a second.
  10. Dunno what's more disturbing, what he is doing or the fact you noticed it.
  11. Plus she's raising awareness about the latest Armenian massacre that has been happening lately, so yeah, better her than idiot pro-wrestlers who don't believe in a worldwide pandemic.
  12. Yeah, I mean, he makes fun of people following the Kardashians, but really, people believing this shit because Justin Gabriel from WWE said it takes a whole new level of non-thinking...
  13. He's not *totally* wrong in that there's a much BIGGER and MORE DANGEROUS pandemic going on right now in the world : a pandemic of complete stupidity. (I still don't get how those guys are "free thinkers" BTW. Saying dumb shit all the time doesn't make your thinking process more free, just stupid)
  14. Ah ah ah ! Actually, I am a fan of Uncle Eric as a performer and quite marked out when he showed up in AEW. Also, loved the Nitro years. So there. Cool story though. And all the best for the upcoming heart surgery too !
  15. Not too shabby. Tana vs KENTA, White vs Ibushi, Suzuki vs Shingo, all great matches on paper. Hopefully they do something different for EVIL vs Naito because the same old-shit again is tired. Okada vs Great-O-Khan kinda looks like a do-or-die for the character though... As long as we get an awesome Okada vs Ospreay at WK, it's fine.
  16. Also, is there a draft every week or so now ? Seems like there's already be been two drafts this year or something....
  17. NXT is apparently not just a cluster of COVID, but a cluster of idiots.

And I was right. I was soooo glad when SANADA beat EVIL, so I guess Gedo's booking worked his magic well once again and all the bullshit did kinda played off, but honestly I found the EVIL stuff so tiring and predictable. I really enjoy SANADA, but I wonder if he's not gonna be this generation's Goto. The good worker who can slip in a few great wins and a bunch of great matches with the right opponent, but who will never get to the top. Between the final, the Suzuki, the Ishii and the Tacihi (fuck me that was another kind of awesome) matches, Ibushi clearly was the star of the show and his win was well deserved. The Ospreay heel turn I like, it was cool to have Bea out there. Great O Khan.... well, let's see how good the guy is, but I can't say I'm jumping in the air with excitement at the prospect of another gimmicky guy (but maybe it is because the guy isn't that great so the gimmick will help him). I hope we get some straight-up *pro-wrestlers* from the guy coming back from excursions, this is kinda missing from current NJPW where everyone is seemingly forced to be in a faction and have some funky gimmick now. Great G1 thanks to the A Block and booking magic (the intrigue of the last two days really worked for me). Glad it's over like every year, as it leaves me kinda burn out.
  20. Mostly a terrific show. Best Friends vs FTR was terrific, Orange vs Cody was excellent and got better as it went (glad Cody went back to blondie too), Mox vs Archer was the expected brutality. I loved Jericho & MJF. Miro killing people is gonna be so much fun and I like the gamer personna because, well, that's who he is. Eddie Kingston being a player on a major level in 2020 is so awesome. However, it was a pretty poor showing for the women, and considering the number of actually really good stuff this first year with Riho's super fun underdog reign, Nyla showing up everytime, Penelope developing into a really solid worker in no time and of course Shida's excellent reign, you could not get a worse representation than this mach for the one-year anniversary. I realize Swole was part of the first bunch of signees when there was not much female talent available or something, but she is just *bad*, plain and simple. She has the distinction of having the worst feud of the company history thsu far against Baker and dragged Shida down to having an actual terrible match (after having also a bad match with Serena Deeb of all people). She hasn't improved one lick in the ring since she showed up, her so-called charisma is annoying to me, plus she's got that awful Kidman-like spot she does every time where she forces her opponent to do the exact same two counters so she can do her headbutt, her shit is sloppy most of the time, she's got bad timing, she fucks spots up all the time. Easily the worst (pushed or not) AEW performer to me. Why couldn't you get Nyla (Vickie is such an inept manager in kayfabe, here's another total useless character to me) or Ivelisse to kill it in the ring instead ? Meanwhile, IMPACT can have two legit good and interesting women matches (not to mention fun storylines) every week... When is Shanna coming back already ? Yep, that was a miss, a big one. But enough negativity, AEW is a gift to pro-wrestling fan who were craving for a mainstream alternative, and in that one year they have mostly overdelivered to me, despite the terrible context. Kudos and hopefully it lasts long and gets only better.
  21. Monty Brown was 15 years too early. Shows up in AEW in 2019 instead of TNA in the mid 00's = big star. Anyhoo. It's been an awesome year, mostly. I pretty much "waited" 20 years for something like this, and it has pretty much exceeded all expectations I ever had. So yeah, long live AEW !
  22. When I used to do the PPV watchalongs on the forum a few years back (good memories), I was definitely drinking wine and/or beer the whole time.
