  1. Holy shit. This is ridiculous.
  2. Agreed. Kinda dull presentation.
  3. In other news, I just finished watching the G1 Supercard. Like, a few minutes ago. And I'm diving straight into the pre-show of Mania on Youtube. I'M HARDCORE ! I'M HARDCORE ! I'M HARDCORE ! Maybe just dumb. Yeah, probably that.
  4. Some of them did consent, if you believe the rumour...
  5. He should file suit against WWE. How does someone goes through security onto the fucking stage and attack him without someone catching him before he does ?
  6. The ROH part of that MSG show is telling you to not follow that promotion. Damn, now that they are coming out of retirement, I wish the Beautiful People would have landed back in iMPACT. WatchTessa beat Velvet Sky into oblivion would have been fun. Plus Madison Rayne is over there again already. When are Rush & Bandido contracts up ?.....
  7. Cool. Keep him from AEW, iMPACT and MLW, thank you very much.
  8. Well, where else, of course...
  9. The New Japan part of the show was mostly awesome. The ROH part was... well, ok, PCO came off like a star, really glad for his insane ass. Brody King is just that too. The rest... And the future plans involved Enzo & Cass ? And the Beautiful People (and don't get me wrong, I really like their TNA stuff) ? But this card was sold on NJPW & Omega, not Matt Taven vs Jay White.... The real main event guys were Ibushi, Naito & Okada, don't kid yourselves. So yeah, some terrific NJPW stuff in the MSG, plus PCO coming back 25 years after a cut-short match against Men on a Mission to take some of the most spectacular bumps of the week-end, one year after making himself relevant again at Spring Break. Bien joué mon gars.
  10. Da fuck ? Which card ? I have everything somewhere on a hard drive for the next month to watch.
  11. They never actually signed Mike Kanellis, he was a package deal for getting Maria. And she got the best contract ever. Get signed to do nothing and have a babie. More power to the Kanellis, best workers of the roster this side of Lesnar.
  12. What ? Don't tell me the pre-show is starting already ?
  13. That post made my evening. Glad someone is pointing out how ridiculous this guy looks.
  14. The ONE match I'm actually interested in is the main event because I have been mostly interested in the women in the last two years or so. So yeah, it's awesome for Charlotte & Becky to main event Mania. And I should probably just go to bed now, get up around 5 in the morning to see where the show is at this point rather than try to stay awake during this chore of a card, knowing I'll never make it to the main event. I'm really tired, only watched like the first hour and a half of the G1 climax, which was like the 7th show of the last three days. I dunno. I'd love to shoot the shit with people on the forum, that being said, well, yeah, it's probably not be very fun unless rain is pouring and the whole thing turns into the longest car crash ever. See you later people, or not. Enjoy the show, or not.
  15. Edit : Yeah, nevermind... Don't get me started...
  16. He lacks some emo tatoos on the face though.
  17. Considering how badly they need some name value (and really, was Eli Drake any kind of name value ?), you really have to be some kind of pain in the ass to get released by iMPACT at this point. Hey, not wanting to do business with Tessa was stupid, she and Joey Ryan stole the show at United We Stand. Meanwhile, RVD is coming. There's some name value as far as nostalgia goes. He looked completely washed up this week-end though.
  18. Let's pretend it's an angle for a second. Genius. Well, of course it's just a douchebag. Damn, Harry punched the fuck out of him. I love the fact you're able to watch both the HOF and the G1 Supercard at the same time ! My brain is already fried, probably gonna watch the G1 tomorrow and maybe some of Mania live, but really, it's been a long week-end already and I only watched like.... 6 shows... (yeah, I know how that sounds)
  19. Well, at the very least that's an old-school like memory for the whole family.
  20. What happened ? A riot during the HoF ? Someone jumped Bret ? How fucking dumb can you be ?
  21. Thanks. That's WAR random level for sure. Meanwhile, I'm watching Spring break part 1. Well, the No Legs match was incredible. And the Invisible Man vs Invisible Stan match was one of the funniest, most absurd thing I've ever saw in a way that made so much sense in the pro-wrestling sense. Really, you could write an essay about this match and its inner workings and what it says about how pro-wrestling works. Fascinating and hilarious. Janella really is the mad scientist of pro-wrestling, I'm glad he's part of AEW (he looked pretty damn good against Marko Stunt too in the opener, which had the most ridiculous chop exchange ever).
  22. Links please !!!!!
  23. That is gonna be my take from this show : Takeover were much better when they lasted two hours +. Main issue with this one : it peaked with the opener. Damn, that tag match was all kind of awesome. MOTYC no doubt. The four-way women's title was easily the second best match of the show, terrific fun. Bianca BeLair's tights are the best, Rick Rude would have approved. Shirai & Sane are awesome, Bazler was badass as fuck. Yeah, just terrific stuff start to finish. I'm not as hot for Velveteen as others, mainly because of the cosplay stuff. That being said, he could be a huge star. His in-ring work is not always the crispest, but he's still super young. Plus he can follow Riddle, who's just as great as he was last year when I watch him have a zillion matches during the week-end. Overall, excellent match thanks to Riddle, and Velveteen is nothing but charisma and star power. and then, well... I thought Pete Dunn vs Walter was a total self-conscious epic. Masturbatory, went nowhere, way too fucking long, shit psychology. Remember when I complained about that stupid chop picture ? People were all "oh, but it's gonna be sold as death". And at the end of the day, well, not really, by the end Dunn was barely selling them, it was just another spot. A bunch of really great "moments", totally disjointed. Walter had a much much better match last year against PCO at Spring Break. So yeah, Self-conscious epic. As far as the main event goes. Well, in the seventies, people were going crazy for Emerson Lake & Palmer. And they packed stadiums and shit. Good for them. This is a mega production for the "Sorry, I love you" crowd. Why the fuck not. Without me though. The worst of bloated WWE wrestling by two really talented guy, but they really aren't responsible (maybe they are, in which case Gargano just has the worst taste in epic matches ever, it was already an issue during the Ciampa feud). also : MAURO SHUT THE FUCK UP. Yeah, I totally rolled my eyes at this too. At one point you could feel the frustration from one of the other two as he basically talked over his latest irrelevant remark. So yeah. Two bloated matches that took way too much of my time makes it not even close to the best match of the week-end thus far, despite two great matches and a very good/excellent one. I guess everything in WWE has to be just that, bloated.
  24. Last year's mostly sucked. This year's mostly ruled. Nothing close to the technical trickery of the best japanese shoot-style stuff, because no one works that style anymore, but as far as working a realistic shoot-style in a post MMA world, this was pretty damn ace and actually made me think such a style could get back in style with monthly shows of the same kind of stuff. I loved the fact they did do total pro-spots at times like they would in the UWF style occasionally.
  25. The Wrestlecon Mark Hitchcock Memorial Show was all around very good. Cool moment for Liger, great comedy from the Orange Cassidy & Best Friends vs SCU match, and although I didn't see most of Cavernario vs Dragon Lee, Bandido vs Ospreay and ZSJ vs Strickland were both great matches, especially the later which is going into MOTYC category for me. Best Strickland match I've seen since the insane garbage match against Dante Fox in LU. I'd say the three-way match with Flamita is the only one which fell kinda flat, but nothing bad on that show. I'm amazed Masato Tanaka is still as good as he seems to be. Tajiri hasn't aged much either.
