  1. Good call Chief... I believe you are right, it was just Rosey.
  2. In this episode of the Place to Be Podcast, Justin and Scott head into the Vintage Vault for Unforgiven 2002. They talk about Brock Lesnar, the Undertaker, Triple H, RVD, Ric Flair and much more. So fire up this action-packed episode and join Scott and Justin because it is time for another edition of the PTB Podcast! http://placetobenation.com/place-to-be-podcast-episode-317-unforgiven-2002/
  3. Thanks Mick. Chief, Drunk Graham is usually aces on the shows...agreed he needs to be on more. We have plans for something else with him soon.
  4. Definitely solid TV, but I was going by the thread being about PPVs. I thought that was their worst top to bottom PPV year.
  5. 2007-2009 is much better than we treated it at the time for sure. I think 2006 was easily WWE's worst year of the decade, followed by 2003. 2002 has been really fun to relive for the podcasts, some really good shows in there with a very stacked roster.
  6. Race was King until he got hurt later in 88... Heenan named Haku King... Race challenged for the crown and lost at the 89 Rumble... Duggan beat Haku in spring 89 Keep em coming, Parv!
  7. On episode 11 of The Kevin Kelly Show, Kevin talks about Daniel Bryan, The Shield, Best in the World, wrestling on TV and more. Kevin also welcomes in Ring of Honor star Bobby Fish to chat about how he got into pro wrestling, training with Harley Race, working in Japan, his thoughts on the Young Bucks, which tag team is the best in the world and more. Kevin and Justin then play a game of wrestling urban legend sleaze thread "true or false" and dive into some sports talk, including the World Cup, NBA Finals, and the state of the NHL, hit up the trending stories of the day and much more!
  8. The whole point of the Savage thing was to push Tuesday in Texas. They teased his return heavily and Tunney caved to reinstate him but not for Survivor Series. That was the big hook to draw TTIT.
  9. Lol, it definitely isn't a gimmick... or maybe it is, who knows... it is just... Scott. It's the only way to really describe it. Thanks JP...once we got rolling we couldn't stop, for better or worse hah.
  10. Lol, I have no idea. If I don't respond to it with a) an actual answer or instigating a fight, I am usually too exasperated by it.
  11. Great discussion and topic. 1992 WWF was weird too because everything between Mania and SummerSlam felt pretty stale due to the lack of "live" or first run TV. SNME was pretty much gone and PTW was basically a full on studio show for the most part, so outside of SuperStars, there really wasn't much to hang on or get excited for until SummerSlam came around. By 1993, WWF had a (mostly) live weekly show and a brand new PPV to bust up that summer doldrums that was starting to really drag the summer out with SNME gone. So many feuds would play out on TV and die on the house show circuit. All of a sudden SummerSlam rolled around and the whole card barely touched anything that had happened all summer. I was a mega WWF fan in 1992 and that summer even bored me.
  12. - Vince was way creepier... I was 15, mine was innocent! - It was shell shock going from Scott (always arguing with each other) to Aaron (very much think along the same lines) - Jose... I could have done two hours on him and Shawn's odd relationship...such a weird decision on many levels - Savage would have been awesome at that time for sure... I really thought it was going to happen after he got wrecked by the nWo at Havoc Glad you enjoyed the show... it was a lot of fun to do!
  13. In this episode of the Place to Be Podcast, Justin and Scott head into the Vintage Vault for SummerSlam 2002. 14. Lol, preach on! Hate those a-holes!
  15. I think a Grande guest spot on Titans would be pretty awesome...
  16. I should have said *tone the ROH stuff down*, not wrestling. Will still be plenty of that!
  17. Thank you! We have made it a point to tone the wrestling down and mix in other topics instead. Same goes with the guests. Sean Grande was awesome and he will be back on various PTBN shows I hope... that dude knows his shit big time. Glad you enjoy the format, we try to mix it up from normal podcasts. KK is an awesome guy and rolls with all my jabs. My favorite parts are when he just starts getting into random discussions on wrestling history. He agrees and we are going to work more of that in.
  18. Working through this... I really like the Zayn/Goldust team idea, especially if it leads to a Zayn/Cody feud too.
  19. In this episode of the Place to Be Podcast, Justin and Scott head into the Vintage Vault for Vengeance 2002. They talk about Eddie Guerrero, William Regal, Rob Van Dam, Brock Lesnar, Rock, Triple H and much more. Also, #tossedsaladandscrambledeggs. So fire up this action-packed episode and join Scott and Justin because it is time for another edition of the PTB Podcast! http://placetobenation.com/place-to-be-podcast-episode-314-vengeance-2002/
  20. Yeah I can't say I have had a problem either through iTunes or firefox/chrome.
  21. In this new episode of the Place to Be Podcast, our good friend Kevin Kelly stops by to talk about the first half of 20002 in WWE. He discusses Triple H's return, the nWo, his thoughts on blood in wrestling, where Edge ranks as a singles wrestler, WrestleMania X-8, the brand split, the change in company's name, wrestling's greatest feuds, the Plane Ride from Hell, the nostalgia era and much more. Don't forget to check out The Kevin Kelly Show also - only at Place to Be Nation. Kevin Kelly is one of the most popular guests in Place to Be Podcast history. Kevin has joined Scott and Justin numerous times to share his backstage knowledge of the WWF landscape, starting with the Brian Pillman gun incident in 1996 and continuing with in-depth analysis of each subsequent calendar year. You can find all of Kevin’s appearances right here on Place to Be Nation. Enjoy! http://placetobenation.com/place-to-be-podcast-episode-313-kevin-kelly-on-first-half-of-wwe-2002/
  22. Thank you! We are definitely planning on another summit soon... glad you enjoyed the mailbag!
  23. Recently rewatched his HIAC match with Jericho and liked it a lot more than I expected too. Both guys wrestled like they were pissed off about being shunted after their Mania stuff and the aggression added to the match.
  24. In this episode of the Place to Be Podcast, Justin and Scott head into the Vintage Vault for Judgment Day 2002. They talk about the company name change to WWE, The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Triple H, Brock Lesnar and much more! So fire up this action-packed episode and join Scott and Justin because it is time for another edition of the PTB Podcast! http://placetobenation.com/place-to-be-podcast-episode-309-judgment-day-2002/
