I love Gorilla but that WM 3 rant really is indefensible. Like Jingus said he just blurted out something to get in the last word or to try to justify his asinine comment I always saw "heel gets visual pinfall" as an attempt to actually let the heel get some semblance of heat as heels in the WWF were always jobbing and bumping around like pinballs. In theory it was to help with the heel's crediblity. That's the way I took it as a child

even as a young mark I always thought the WWF put too much focus on their referees. The SNME DVD illustrates this as Vince and Jesse bicker ad naseum over referees and rules. You could argue that it made the product seem more legit but it was tiresome after awhile and I'm glad they went away from it in the 90s. I would agree it had more to do with the booking and not necessarily the announcing

Seth Green to host Raw Monday http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/SethGreengm...w?cid=2009EP-00 I believe Green has always been a big wrestling fan as I spotted him in the crowd on an old episode of MSG Classics taunting the heels. He was probably 12 or 13 at the time (mid late 80s)

There was an old rumor that Orndorff was kept off the WM 3 Card just in case Andre couldn't perform or make it to the show. a standby I guess (Hence the inconclusive nature of the cage match to give him an opening to a rematch) Him and Kamala were the 2 biggest names left off the card IIRC

eh, with all the MJ nostalgia in the past few weeks I can kind of understand it, *Kind of* it was just executed very poorly

It really perturbs me when people say Jericho's WCW in ring work was better simply because it was faster (I'm looking at the guys at the oratory where this has been a minor talking point for years) Jericho's selling and match layouts have vastly improved since joing WWE

Man reading that interview on the Observer site and Tully Blanchard still can't get over doing those jobs to the Bushwackers around the horn in 89. Tully it was 20 years ago!

yes Chyna claimed that Carter was firting with Hunter. Don't know if that was the reason but sounds like it could be. IIRC she "joked" about giving him a blow job and Chyna was there or heard about it Off topic but that reminds of when Hunter was on Stern and said Chyna did not allow him to look at or speak to female fans at autograph signings. He had to keep his head down and sign Edit: Eh the Hunter/Stacy/Chyna thing happened in late 1999/early 2000 and Carter wasn't fired until Feb 2001 so who knows

Regarding TNA Dave seems to excuse the poor booking (to a degree) if there is good in ring work on a show while Bryan is less tolerant
-
Why does Bryan talk *so* loud on his show? For the ENTIRE show. Not just points of emphasis Jesus man calm down

I didn't see the show but I surmise that Joe is now with the Mafia after trying to murder them a few months earlier. classic Russo and TNA

I really think the wellness policy killed Candice Michelle's WWE career. She just couldn't keep that ridiculous body she had pre wellness and gradually saw her push decline
-
BTW, what's with Dave taking multiple shots at Bischoff lately? Did he (Bischoff) say something in one of his commentaries?
-
I don't find Dave as funny as most others on the net but this was awesome

actually it was that a girl would never leave him for someone like Angle (or for anyone really). Not necessarily that he wouldn't do a job for Angle

So this isn't a work so how can Vince not love Joey? I mean first he gets cred for punching out JBL, now this
-
Definitely a work The Notre Dame line seals it Actually that's pretty ingenious of Joey to create a right wing/Colbert-esque character to mock Vince in guise of pandering to him. Once someone in the office realizes it's a work though Joey will feel the wrath and yes I'd never would have guessed Cornette was such a huge Democrat

Ole Anderson on WOL claiming Hulk Hogan wasn't a draw because the WWF never did well in Georgia.

"He's ambitiously stupid" - Why Scott Keith's new book is scary bad
Strummer replied to Bix's topic in Megathread archive
Why does Scott keep saying he loves reviewing these early Raws and then do nothing but trash the shows? I always hated that when he did it with old Coliseum video tapes and it's even more annoying now. -
Meltzer is theorizing it was because he nearly hurt Orton on RAW Monday. Orton cursed him out backstage after the show. He'll be going over AJ Styles soon enough

Just read the Judgment Day thread at Scoot's blog and try not to claw your eyes out. -
Didn't Dave have a cryptic message about Dino Bravo getting the "push for sex" treatment in the early 90s during his house show run with Warrior?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5xRTer0fNM...feature=related I've haven't seen this in years and I'm still laughing over Gorilla's "bump"

Summerslam 89 He also mentioned her "headlights"
