  1. All true. And in the last ten minutes, I've been informed I am a menu option in Canada. This is next level thin-skinned. Again I am flabbergasted can't imagine being a hardcore Wrestling fan and not being friendly with several wrestlers. No idea what this has to do with AEW though.
  2. SomethingSavage your post is kinda extraordinary. PWO is supposed to be Pro Wrestling deep dive the forum. You didn't/don't have to "seek out" Being The Elite. It and All In was one of the biggest stories of 2018. No one ever said you must watch anything that's an invention in your own head.
  3. Can't tell given other posts in this thread. Some people here wear a lack of basic reading or watching of freely available content as this badge of pride. This forum is absolute last place on the internet to embrace or get Being The Elite. To me that's fine. As is living in 1989, 1999 or 2009. AWE have to bridge the gap between all the wink wink insider references and casual fans.
  4. He is only saying the truth here. Sounds rough and combative but it is only the truth. There's product knowledge/learning curve involved. I don't think I am important. I just fell into knowing a lot of wrestlers and office personnel during a key time in the wrestling business. If I wasn't knowledgeable or had a perspective on the business they wouldn't follow me or DM me. Simple as. Wrestlers are people. I wasn't pumping iron on Venice Beach. I was shit posting on Twitter along with them. If I was to pat myself on the back it would be championing a lot of signed/successful talent very, very early. I can't remember the last NXT class or WWE call up that didn't have at least one friend involved. Totally false Being The Elite is available for free on Youtube. It is on you for not keeping tabs on the industry. Meltzer recapped Being The Elite in the Observer newsletter. And never recaps ROH TV. Britt is more than just an indie worker. She's a fairly standout person. Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown had a whole segment on her. It might be. But she has all the Degrees, a big part of the organisation of All In and is very well liked by her peers. Find a bad fan experience with her too. First class and personable look you in the eye and treat you like a human like Cody does and beyond. An African American female executive in Pro Wrestling should be praised rather being seen as trolling. This a dumber than dumb defensive take. Why is PWO this closed/hivemined?
  5. Who is more qualified and speaks to the Elites audience. And she isn't Adam's wife.
  6. If you don't know who Britt Baker is then I consider you grossly out of loop Elite/AEW wise sorry. I am not playing the Twitter follower game at all just it bizarre to think fans and Wrestlers can't be friends/friendly. It is what the whole Elite/AEW aesthetic is based on.
  7. It really is that. And Tony Khan wanting to redo WCW and he legitimately wants WCW Nitro aesthetically.
  8. It all started when sek69 completely overstated the Les Moore thing as bix pointed out. Meltzer has done consultancy work before whether it be WWF a million years or by his own admission for MMA companies in more recent times. More than willing to talk about the actual topic. It is really interesting and I know a fair amount about it.
  9. If your ego is this fragile then you need help. Casey established the best reputation for accuracy between all prominent Wrestling websites and it isn't even close. The Observer, PWTorch, PWInsider etc all used his information.
  10. Bix can vouch for me. I don't why some of you guys are put out by this. It is 2019. Fans and wrestlers/promoters do actually talk now. And yes I've broken major news stories you can throw temper tantrums all day but it is true. Never said she was a super well known professional wrestler. No need to throw your toy out of your pram. If you are following current Wrestling and to the level, you are posting on a forum about it you probably should at least recognise her name. She has wrestled for pretty much every big budget indie in the US and has wrestled on ROH TV before Christmas. And All In was the test show for AEW. You should have at least connected the dots on why she might be on board so early with them.
  11. What do you expect on that forum?
  12. NXT has been upping their deals to talents since the July class. It isn't new. I knew about it as that class contained friends and I was over the moon they were being treated like they should. Nor is AEW being real. Two dozen indie talents have been under monthly holding contracts for a while. Despite your first post the dogs on the street knew this for a good while.
  13. I didn't dodge any question. You are going to make me sound like a big head but endless wrestlers follow me on Twitter. I genuinely fell into it but I am well connected with this generation of Wrestling talent and promoters. Casey Michael and I broke more signing stories in Pro Wrestling over the last 4 years than anyone.
  14. It is 2019. Meltzer isn't the only one with access to text message technology or contacts to wrestlers or promoters.
  15. I've already explained how he fucked this one up. He went by Tony Khan's Twitter follows and made an assumption. Or someone emailed him the same and he blindly posted without fact-checking.
  16. Ask Meltzer. He's clearly the reporter he's always been and Bix is a crank going by this thread. sek69 posts on the first page are super cute acting like stuff I've been Tweeting about since I dunno May is brand new news.
  17. Meltzer seemingly went by Tony Khan's Twitter follows or something. He's totally lost on Women's Wrestling reported after Casey Michael got sick and Square Circle Sirens went on hiatus. If you trusted Meltzer Tessa Blanchard would be in NXT.
  18. Meltzer is the source and he fucked this one up.
  19. Why are you even in this thread if you don't know who Britt Baker is? She is a high profile female wrestler and competed at All In.
  20. It is okay to cite me. This isn't DVDR where they cite me without credit all the time. AEW has allotted $5 million in consultant fees. They have been paying them out to the media since August. Meltzer's name was one name cited to me. Do I have proof or a bank balance? No. But even his own subscribers are questioning things now on his forum.
  21. Would be more than fine with the Konnan stabbing angle if the crowd cared but they distinctly didn't.
  22. This forum staggers me sometimes.
  23. It is/was. It was hurt by it coming out rather soon after his DVD, all obituaries & tribute pieces and the bitter taste the Eddieexploitation on TV. As a standalone project, it isn't a cheap or a slapdash book at all. Just most people were all Eddie'd out by the time of its release.
  24. Putting him with the promotion's most popular star isn't squandering him at all. Also being in a trio means it won't get overexposed.
  25. Bret Hart didn't doubt El Dandy.
