I am not trolling and have never trolled on here. The WON board is a notorious trolling board so what a bizarre complaint to level at me. Bix once called it Figure4Chan. All I've said here and I am beating a dead horse at this stage is that the slow bad match was just a slow bad match.

Yeah me too. When he was on the Indies everyone from Finlay to Dreamer to Nash liked him and saw money in the kid so to speak. Seemed like he would be on the fast track. Anyways if you like him go out of your way to support him and just think some positive thoughts until he gets over the hump.

Ok too late on the harping thing. I like Mark Henry when he actually delivers. Just the Raw match was a terrible Mark Henry match. That's it. That's fine, take no issue at all with what you just said. However, other people will feel differently, and that's okay too. Cool. I just think the wait until Show or Henry are just referred to as old and broken down rather than cerebral masters of graps game is going to curious and long one in some (not generalising about all of PWO here) quarters. I am more than open to completely changing my opinion of them if they offer a heated and spirited physical confrontation. Or if either has another "Indian Summer" career wise but at the moment nah. uh I stand corrected. But you are just isolating a word here rather than looking at what I actually wrote/crux of my point. If my point was just people are pretending I would have just said people are pretending and let that be that. If that was just point I would have remembered even using the word. If you want to harp on one word reaching would be a better one. As liking the Henry/Show match requires all the bad points about the match and labelling them as good. They weren't smartly working around their limitations they were trying and failing to have a good match that the crowd could care about.

Ok too late on the pretend thing. I like Mark Henry when he actually delivers. I am more in agreement about Mark Henry than you may seem to realise. I don't require a big defence of Henry's work. Just the Raw match was a terrible Mark Henry match. That's it. Yet again I didn't say pretend or pretending.

This has been done a million times before on here. I like when Henry and Show do good work but the Raw match is horrid. Saying otherwise is essentially saying they can't have a bad match ever. Again how terrible of a match do they need to have before the whole shoehorned cerebral and deliberate thing is dropped? If they were that smart of workers they would have found ways to not further kill off the crowd. How many times do you have to be politely asked to stop generalizing the entire board? And how many times do you plan to ignore the request? STOP with the "on here" crap. Every time someone makes a post that you disagree with, you make it an indictment of PWO as a whole. It's dishonest and rude. STOP. Wasn't generalising about the board at all just the whole Show, Henry etc thing has been discussed even in this thread alone numerous times before. Just a statement of fact. I've no idea how you are reading it as me making a generalisation. Before this gets harped on endlessly pretend is not my word.

Shit, I completely forgot about him. What's the story there? I really lost track of what has been said public and what hasn't been. My heart really goes out to him. Late August he damaged his the tibia bone after coming down badly on a flying headscissors and then about a month ago a very close family member passed away. Before all that he was kind of in limbo he had reached the point of wrestling NXT taping dark matches but NXT Creative/Triple H didn't seemed to know what to do with him. Seemingly weekly he would go back and forward on a handful of characters and various versions and iterations of those characters. From essentially being "The Death Machine" Sami Callihan to a Hacker with an iPad that would cut the lights or the announcer announcing him to the more recent character that is hard to define or label but jist is that he would cut passionate speeches about how much he loves Wrestling and wants to succeed. I don't want to going into his business too much but things seemed really bleak before his injury to the point it would not have been a surprised if he was released. It was a topic of discussion among people around NXT at the time. I really hope things turn around for him. Kalisto and Sami reported to NXT together. Kalisto is well ahead of him now and Sami as an "indie guy" is kind of being lapped by the new and more high profile intake of Steen, Itami and Devitt. Also arguably Sami and Steen are fighting for the same spot on the card too.

I doubt that will happen. If it happens it will be with Devitt.

It was a re-edit of a video package they ran at Takeover II. It was just an NXT showcase match. Sami Zayn's Titantron had NXT logos on it etc.

In fairness it took forever for Dave to notice/acknowledge Becky. He only has done so in the past 4 weeks or so. But yeah even Becky will tell you Sasha is on another level to her. Pretty much starting at less than zero Becky has had a real long climb in developmental for a host of reasons to do with her own not so WWE-ised skill set to a bunch of other stuff with NXT staff and coaches. Her current position on TV seemingly has come from only recently finally winning over a few coaches and Demott. She's still got a ways to go. A character and promo delivery that makes you go "that's main roster" has been truly elusive for Becky. The parties involved have seemingly given up and decided to let her be Rebecca Knox more or less seemingly. While Sasha ticks every and all boxes. I've my theories about Dave demphasising Sasha and emphasising Charlotte but it would come across as too "Dave's getting worked" if I fully explained. For all I know Dave just "forgot" about Sasha. The Mark Henry/Big Show thing exists for a reason when you have people pretending their Raw match was any good or engaging you setting yourself up for derision I am sorry. How bad, feeble and sluggish does their matches have to be before people stop applying a cerebral "slow and deliberate" narrative to their matches? Their matches kill interest in their feud(s).

So Big Show/Mark Henry was an atrocity.

I wouldn't be me if I didn't point out that Becky Lynch makes her heel debut this week on NXT tagging with Sasha Banks vs Charlotte & Bayley. Her heel persona takes a few weeks to be phased in but her and Sasha are doing a lot of silly heel Southern tag team stuff on the road.

Just AJ Lee being her husband was my thought.

Not claiming to be a big insider who talks to a lot of people. Just people that I do know and talk to either in NXT or on the Indies saw the trailer and it was a big talking point. He said four things in the trailer that some fella from Dublin (me) knows aren't true. Goodness what other lies lie beneath the rest of the shoot. I posted on DVDR that Ricardo is a massive creep and got random PM/DMs on Twitter from people who have had dealings with him THANKING me for saying it publicly. There was some weirdness with him and some of the women in NXT. He also chooses to hang round a convicted sex offender. He's very sleazy.

The Equaliser/Dave Sullivan?

Then watch an actual Wrestling company. WWE has always leaned on kitsch and spectacle. I've made the same arguments for a trolling end many times but WWE IS Sports Entertainment it is a different genre, it isn't booking it IS Creative for them. They hire writers to come up with creative and goofy stuff not bookers to book towns. Hardly a newsflash but seem to eer back to them being a Wrestling company. At least in the case of the main event finish, though, there's still a different expectation for something like Seth Rollins vs Ambrose in a Hell in a Cell match compared to The Undertaker vs. Yokozuna in a casket match. That's kind of nonsense given how last years show ended. People should have expected a Sports Entertainment Finish of some kind. Genuinely not being cute but if you are talking about booking you are barking up the wrong tree. It is Creative.

Can I just say WingedEagle is talking complete and utter nonsense about Snowden's book. Overall I agree with Snowden at times people here can be too detached from enjoying and consuming the show as a fan. His approach in talking could be better obviously. I don't understand the anger or surprise over WWE being WWE. Have learnt to pretty much to embrace it. A Hologram? BUT OF COURSE.

Really struggled with it. I want to like CHIKARA. Was really digging them once they closed. Their return was a gloriously fun event and then they quickly lost my interest. Will buy the eventual 2014 Best of to see than Archi-Remington **** comedy match.

Good Will Wrestling: Fixing the WWE PPV Schedule
rovert replied to soup23's topic in Publications and Podcasts
In light of Mick Foley's promo on Raw this week the HIAC seems even more like a relic from 1998. However I do expect some crazy spots from Rollins and Ambrose tomorrow. But obviously more crazy creative rather than crazy violent.- 13 replies
