Madison had an NXT tryout in October so it shouldn't be a shock. Rayne is very well liked in Wrestling circles and professional. Even putting her marriage to Josh Matthews aside. She can come and go from IMPACT as she pleases - she did last year. She'll likely put over a NXT home ground in the first round. Madison is the master of *1/2-** Xplosion match. Yeah, Kraven should have been in last year's MYC in my opinion. Would have been a better pick than Sage Beckett.

Listening to the LAW last night leads me to strongly believe Dick Murdoch didn't make it in. Every year Dan Lovranski at the end of Meltzer's news segment surprises Dave with the Murdoch question ahead of the HOF issue. Dave immediately reacted in the negative.

Way higher on Sasha than I am on Bayley and (currently) Charlotte. Sasha is six years younger than Charlotte, improves month to month while Charlotte has largely plateaued in the ring. Auld Becky needs to stand in front of a mirror and work out what facial expressions look good and what don't ASAP going by NXT this week.

Welp a Top 100 matches on the WWE Network is coming out today on WWE.com. If the Women's PWI 50 didn't cause enough arguments yesterday.

Time mark 29:30 for the Lance interview. Seems in much better form than he did in his last Observer interview.

Please don't bring the DVDRness. Barely know anyone in WWE tbh. Just NXT and the Indies. Never ever stated otherwise. Enough to know everyone fans and especially the media are PROFOUNDLY sleeping on the WWN China tour, what it is going to mean in the not so long run and the degree the ball is rolling on it. Including what has been agreed as of tonight too. I get scoops from CHINA.

MVP has said in the past he can't talk about certain things that involve racial situations in WWE given what he signed leaving WWE. WWE have become excellent at crafting compromise/non disclosure agreements. They killed off every Creative writer blabbing to the Torch or Observer publicly and they hushed up all sorts of things in NXT. Besides the weird cluster of spinal/neck injuries in NXT and whatever happened to Corey Graves. I know someone who was a very below the radar name in NXT who can't publicly disclose what dangerous drill Demott wanted him to do as one of the terms of his release. Essentially the wrestler who was unhappy there anyway just told Demott to "fuck off" in those words and refused to do the insanely unsafe drill which would have most likely injured him and his ex-College football player trainee Wrestler partner. The Wrestler in question was coming off a second concussion too.

Rob Naylor took a bunch of indie female Wrestlers to an NXT Live Event and they were really blown away by the NXT female's timing, cut off spots, storytelling and general less is moreness. This week Rob on Twitter pointed out how a lot of female indie Wrestlers have forgotten to engage the crowd you know clapping, appeals etc. NXT girls are excellent about that just look at Bayley for example. It isn't really a feature with the rank and file NXT male wrestlers for whatever reason.

I like Emma but super talented? Her Arrival match was great stuff absolutely no question but when she was signed people who knew her indie worker were like "HER?" when reacting to her signing.

Alex definitely lurches towards what's popular 2-3 years ago was SHIMMER now it is New Japan.

Yeah it kind of comes down to how JR wants to work with IMO. This this a big money deal - it was negotiated by agent Barry Bloom. So Ross has to have some degree of stroke in the decision. BUT in Jim's case his hatred of flying may kill the idea dead.

I think it has been one of benefits of social media is that it got people from various message boards intermingling with each other. There's a tendency to view the first big message board you encounter as "it" in terms of Wrestling discussion in general. For example you get the threads on DVDR to F4W to Wreddit to WrestlingForum to even /wooo occasionally posting threads asking "do you think anyone from WWE reads this forum" and then most of the replies are "oh they have to". I do like on Twitter the ability to retweet a tweet from user to share their opinion, column or podcast with my followers. Great little referral system that.

Kaitlyn and Michael Tarver are apparently not signs then.

Young Dave Finlay makes his Belfast, Northern Ireland debut tomorrow. Pretty cool news story about it. Proud moment for his Grandfather: http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/local-national/northern-ireland/meet-the-next-generation-of-fighting-fit-finlays-name-synonymous-with-the-golden-age-of-wrestling-30724872.html Dave has such a weird American-German-Ulster accent.

Just to update Sami made his NXT return at the Lakelands house show tonight cutting a promo

Me too it is really disappointing. I don't want to get into a semantics game of what's racist or racial. But simply they are being very disrespectful with the stupidest chants from like Jackie Chan to chopsticks to Tokyo Drift.

I don't think it was a job guy per se but that doesn't really matter. Itami running in and getting slaughtered ran a week or two too long. He came across stupid and/or comedic (Kaientai running in on the Royal Rumble in 2000). I could write a lot about the chants Itami is receiving in NXT but last week he got "please give up" chants on his run in. It was largely edited out for TV. As a sidebar Itami has gotten a lot of racist/racial abuse at NXT this far both at the TV tapings and some live events. It is rather grim. There was one segment a month ago with Itami where the crowd was completely removed from the sound mix it was that bad. I don't think the booking of him so far helped him in this department.

Yep. On that official WWE Wrestlemania podcast or Jericho's podcast around the same time Goldust said he was really disappointed he didn't get to do Brother vs Brother at Wrestlemania and would make a retirement decision around Summerslam. I know Wrestlers are Wrestlers but yeah Goldust might be hanging it up soon. From everything I've heard going back years and years Vince McMahon and Triple H really like Dustin. Just look at how many times they brought him back! But besides that post-Wrestling Dustin is well heeled due to Dusty Rhode's position in Developmental and the Rhodes/Runnels are like the Armstrongs in terms of Triple H era talent appointments. Mark Yeaton and Justin Roberts were replaced by Berkley Ottman and Eden Runnels both relatives of Dusty. Obviously he deserves consideration as a producer or trainer by his in ring credentials alone but nepotism is firmly on his side.

Whose trolling now? It was more just a telling off. A mutual friend moved him on. Sheamus was pretty bad and thin skinned back then. One of my favourites now. I haven't? It was slow, bad and disengaging. What do you want like?
-
Rovert pretends Irish workers not named Sheamus are good, so it's a tactic he employs himself at least Sheamus actually confronted me once about calling him a bad wrestler back in the day. This is more or less accurate.

I am not continuing this. Until you realise I wasn't trolling. I expressed reluctance/tiredness about the subject and I intended the post linked above to be my last post on the matter and get some studying done to be honest. Then Loss accused me of generalising about PWO for reasons I don't understand of saying the subject had been done to death. Which it has in my opinion. Discussing it is on a hiding to nothing in the main. Maybe if they engaged the crowd better Meltzer would have liked it more.
-
If I was trolling I would have remembered that I used to the word for crying out loud and "pretending" have been the crux of my point. It wasn't. I've made every effort to distance myself from that word. I was trolling and I wasn't looking to troll. I expressed my tiredness of the subject in the first line of my second post: http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/9754-dave-meltzer-stuff/page-257&do=findComment&comment=5638278 I didn't want to rehash something that has been discussed before. It's a very old topic at this stage. Seriously Steenalized.
