High on everyone's book and shoot interview wishlist Pat Patterson is in the process of writing a book as per Jim Ross: I will be really sad if Pat doesn't realise the potential of his story.

Thought the Wade Keller episode was the best Wade has ever been on a singular podcast.

He had some nice words about Chris Hero but his political rants will have to be curtailed as he already seems to be alienating people.

Cornette's vault. Some comic book stuff mixed in too obviously:

I got excited when I heard Cesaro was coming back. Now I am especially so. It better be on the show. If not, then Tim Evans better sneak in dressed as a chair and get a fancam. I will be plaguing Tim with has Becky Lynch joined the Horsepersons yet that night too. Last taping of the year too by the way.

William Regal vs Antonio Cesaro has been announced for November 21st taping of NXT at Full Sail. Likely to be a part of NXT's 200th episode too.

The outlook for Punk in 2014 is interesting though he is not being discussed as being involved in the top mix and his contract is up July/August. So WWE probably isn't going to invest in him too much the near future. Also he seemed really beaten down on Smackdown this week and he is always threatening to take time off.

It is. I was responding to Mookie's post about Harper's recent work and thought I was being clear enough. Obviously not. Anyway yay Harper I've done a total one 180 on him the past month. Which I am happy about as I was a big fan of him on the indies but really struggled with his WWE contracted matches.

Mookie there was a stat quoted on Twitter that Harper was the first Wrestler this year to wrestle on Raw, Smackdown, Main Event and NXT.

Good Will Wrestling – WWE TV Network Round Table
rovert replied to goodhelmet's topic in Publications and Podcasts
This was quite the comprehensive brainstorm. The cruiserweight show is still a thing and is one of the main reasons why they are attempting to sign Prince Devitt. If the Network was a huge success I wonder if WWE would ever look into acquiring the rights of the real songs used during 80s entrances. -
In fairness to David here on his PWTorchcast appearance he did say he didn't title that article that. The original line was something along the lines of Race and Wrestling. I will stop saying it after this but he does come across as a nice and well meaning guy. I hope he continues giving that impression by accepting corrections.

He did a Reddit AMA: http://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comm...masked_man_pro/

It isn't. Also has nothing to with haters either. A lot og the issue was the makers over promised and under delivered. Then acted like it was a historical event.

A recap of the recent happenings http://olewrestling.com/chikara-wrestling/...ith-chikara.htm The strangest one was a guerilla CHIKARA show last Saturday that just had one match as it was abandoned. As a fan was kidnapped by the bad guys essentially - Condor Security. It was broadcast on a blurry UStream live feed. Fans/CHIKARA employees/hangers on instead of calling the cops decided to walk around the park looking for clues. It was lamer than I can ever possibly hope to describe. A proper video of it is here with the fans looking for clues edited out:

He was in very poor health with diabetes and the rest.

If you or anyone else blogs about the book and mentions that very thing prepare to be levelled with the criticism you are too inside the bubble given the experience I had with one of his fans recently.

Probability of error a 100% here but going by comments/reactions Dave made past few days: AJ Styles got far less votes than the even low end projections. Tanahashi made it. What seems to be the biggest "gotcha moment" was Dave's reaction to Dan Lovranski's sprung on question on the LAW radio show about whether Dick Murdoch finally made it in. Seems like it is Dick's year.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?

Very down on Billy Corgan and his Wrestling IQ. Court Baurer called him knowledge enough to be dangerous and I believe that's succinct enough way to describe him. To me hasn't graduated beyond a casual fan's understanding of the business. I don't think Billy could tell you the how and why angles worked. I will give him he has handled his music catalogue really well but I don't see the same savyness when it comes to Wrestling. He wants to relive his first relive his first real exposure to Wrestling (ECW) and realises legitimate Women's Wrestling matches have potential growth drawing power wise. That's his two MOs/ideas basically. I know people who don't even like the term call Billy a money mark. Also in the music industry his ego, control issues and people skills are legendary. I would imagine he would be a pain in the ass to be a partner with. I await hearing Billy Corgan deleting all the guitar tracks on Serge's TNA entrance themes and that re-recorded them himself. Lou is in Billy's inner circle so that's some non-journalist confirmation of interest: He was ECW's Sign Guy Dudley and Lou E Dangerously. -

May or may not be a candidate for this thread. But this week's Impact ended in creepy fashion with in storyline landing badly off a suplex then staying down on the mat shaking from nerve damage. Anyway here is the closing moments of the match and post match online video TNA put out: Lots of casual fans on Twitter bought the angle. Kind of like a 2013 version of the November 1995 angle where Shawn Michael's collapsed after Owen Hart kicked him in the back of the head. Uncomfortable from fan's POV and ethically I don't think it is mentally healthy for Kurt to act something like that out. -

Selling a minor share is a good way of recouping some of the money ploughed into TNA AND keeps Dixie employed. -

The long story short latest on the sale of TNA is that a sale to a party outside of Wrestling is at very advanced stage for a non controlling interest in the company. In 2010 UFC sold 10% of the company to the Abu Dhabi-based Flash Entertainment. Cynically a bunch of money mark Saudis. It might be something like that.
