WON HOF has six inductees this year so Dave split the bios over two weeks. The first inductee is Henri Deglane, who Dave says is the second to last guy he plans on putting in as the Veterans Committee equivalent.
-
The WON Hall of Fame is for 2013 inductee. We can strongly assume it is an historic candidate.

When Rey was inducted in 2010 Dave said he was looking to meet up with Rey and it would out at the end of the year that got changed to waiting after his retirement/when he is done with WWE. When Rey's WWE book came out and everyone was shitting on the low word count, large font surface level book that glossed over his career. Dave did a run in the thread and said it would a FAR more interesting book if he wasn't under contact. He also dispelled the perception that he was Konnan's lap dog or little Rey Rey or however you want to encapsulate it. Rather is someone with very much his own opinions and someone who sits on the them for business reasons. I would assume the dirt would be obviously Eddie and Benoit related. He is also a children's character and a genuine inspirational figure for a lot of children as witnessed in his Make A Wish stuff so he is limited in what he can say about the darker side of the business his own drug use included.

In fairness it is the Fall/Winter it is the lowest point of the WWE calender. I'd be more concerned if you gave up six months from now.

I heard that this is a Scott Keith-esque book where online work is reproduced. Most of it seems to be drawn from his old Deadspin Dead Wrestler of the Week articles. K. Sawyer Paul got an advanced copy and seemed disappointed/conflicted about the book.

Just one? I find that odd. I would have guessed multiple people would be getting in this year for sure. Would the results be out already for the 2013 ballot? Maybe he is doing one from a previous ballot?

On the LAW Meltzer said that there is a Hall of Fame bio in this week's issue. Any ideas?

*Bump* Women's Wrestling site Ringbelle just did a similar show to this: http://ringbellesonline.com/2013/10/22/fig...ting-disorders/ Interesting topic at the time and still is if not moreso now.

This video is a pretty good representation of Cesaro's wheel house: He is the biggest WWF 1993 mark in the world he loves everything about that formative period in his life. One of favourite Cesaro memories when he was on Edinsanantonio's podcast and Alan4L rang in at like 3am our time and took it over with tennis and soccer talk for 30-40 minutes.

Mike Johnson said voluntarily went for six weeks and then discharged himself after that time. He is staying with Joe Gomez of WCW fame. Here is Ric pictured yesterday with his daughter Ashley and Shaul Guerrero: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BW0UskDIAAAhOz6.jpg

Leaked WWE terminology memo in the Observer this week: Matt Striker had to be responsible for the dirtsheet rule. WWE no longer using Granddaddy of them all made me think of Vince's love for the term "a schillacking" for a beating back in the today. Vince should reinstitute the term "keester" to describe a wrestler's behind and "kisser" for people's mouths too.

Starting with a partial year of 1988 until present with some gaps and some are in just in text/HTML format. He filling in the gaps and converting Newsletters to PDF format on a weekly basis.
-
Will await what is in the Observer but Dave gave a non-answer on the forum. Obviously financially driven. Among everything else he likely needs counselling over Reid's death.
-
Haven't seen it yet but I've listened to podcasts with Marty before his resentful friendship of Shawn Michaels is quite the deal.
-
I agree. Aside from the Kevin Steen Show series (which I can understand some people not enjoying or being interested in), the Striker shoot is probably my favorite of the year thus far. I didn't care for him when he worked in WWE, but he comes off well in the interview. His In The Ring with RF was REALLY interesting too apparently.

Matt Striker is recommended. He still has one eye on WWE but discloses more than most people like that. He tells some interesting stories from bullying, locker room culture to dealing with Vince in various capacities. The unique thing about Matt Striker is that obviously he was a teacher and seemingly a good one. Not only that he has worked with various disability type charities including those related to autism. He said in the strictest sincerity he saw Daniel Benoit multiple times and thought he was normal child with no developmental issues.
