Law of the street YES but it isn't worth losing your job over in an industry were her options were very low - WWE at the time was a maybe and Japan is/was dead. Everyone knows Bubba is a cretin anyway so what was there to be gained? My heart goes out to Kia and it was obviously a heat of the moment thing but it was a poor risk/reward decision on her part. Rather sadly she saw it that way later too...

Beating up Bubba the Love Sponge was well-deserved and doesn't demonstrate mental instability. Not being able to control your temper and lashing out violently in a work environment kinda does.

Yeah Wrestling seems to get less and less fun as time goes on and the more you learn about. Candice Michelle and Jillian Hall suffered miscarriages within the last year or so which is disconcerting. Luna Vachon in her shoot interview spoke about the damage bumping does to your uterus as well. Can you imagine your significant other or the woman nearest to you ever doing some of the stuff wrestlers do? Not looking to scapegoat wrestling here and miscarriage is very, very under reported as it is such a profoundly private pain but it is something to think about regardless.

You have to wonder who knew what when in terms of management and wrestlers at the Rumble. In hindsight they should have a gave her a gimmicked departure or just yank her off TV like Brodus but they were on a Reality buzz at the time.

A fragile person living a life in the public eye.

This picture for the next show: Human cloning or x rated video?:

Yeah I never got the uber hate for Santino or Hornswoggle for that matter. But the past couple of years Santino has bored me to tears on the B shows as he was very samey and uninspired. But when he is on he is on. This time last year/before he introduced the hand puppet I thought he was going to be released.

A recap of the initial announcment from Bleacher Report: Punk tweeted the following tweets today: Obviously just being a WWE Superstar his DVD is overdue at this stage and it is an exciting project solely based on his WWE run but the muted inclusion of non-WWE owned footage has me really intrigued given all the politics, ownership rights and WWE's anal production rules.

Id be interested in jdw's thoughts if he has any. An amazing athlete who stood out during a high watermark period of wrestling. RIP.

Even the delayed launch seems not to be helping them. Over/under the idea being dropped for the near term before October?

Is that Ron Simmons speaking voice or has he had a health issues? Sadly it seemed more slurred than I remember.
-
Also he had a relatively short run in WWF, somewhat faceless in a tag team with Doom then nothing really. So wasnt ever commercialised by the WWE Hall of Fame/Legends marketing channel. So his legend never really grew like say Mr. Perfect's did.

Wade made me all uncomfortable asking if Rock the way he is (aloof to his peers, very show business, image conciousness, "bigger than Wrestling") because that he is black and uppity. Wade made the defence that in way Rock lifted the racial lid when Rock spoke about Cena being a white rapper and going to private school. Wade also causally made passing reference that TNA officials branded Ron Killing as "uppity."

Harley Race & his traditional backyard BBQ was my guess and the whole "went out to eat" thing sounded like a quick cover to protect him. Raw taped 30th January at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri too. Billy Graham is on the outs with WWE and isnt that social. Someone on F4W suggested Bret Hart but going by his book he isn't obsessed with houses and such like and another suggestion was Terry Funk as he like Harley was an NWA Champion and came from an era where attendances had to be tracked. No names just references to an observable large vocal minority.

That's pretty weird/misdirected. Being sleazy is Joey's GIMMICK. From what I've heard and seen he is generally pretty "right on." He portrayed a gay character in WRP and did an androgynous Marilyn Manson gimmick when he broke in the business.

Great oaks from little acorns grow. Give its due it change Wrestling.

Sorry if this derails the thread slightly but how do you compare Akira Tozawa to Tajiri as your charismatic Japanese Wrestler in the US who can occupy the role of serious ass kicker and comedic wrestler sometimes all in the same match, Dylan?

10 years ago today the first ROH show: We're all old

Not normally in the habit quoting large chunks of Wrestling Observer but I had to here for context. Dave launched a pretty strong attack on WWE and a defense for Rey Mysterio: Not a shocker I know. But heck yeah Dave.

Someone who I follow on Twitter posted this: http://ringbellesonline.com/2012/02/21/rin...1-february-2012 Sucks enough at times being an intelligent and thoughtful person AND a Wrestling fan but add being a woman on top of that must be rather hard. "WWE’s BA STAR(D) campaign" is rather great

Have to admit to MARKing hard for the Hell in the Cell announcement.
