Bizarre, but it had go on the set for it's strange appeal. Andre "El Gigante" does an interview on UWA TV in English answering really basic fourth grade level questions that are being overdubbed in Spanish.

Couldn't understand a thing. Interview like this years before would have had Andre standing to put over his size.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who couldn't understand a word here. I like that the chyron identifies him as a a French luchador. Andre looks slimmer than usual, but not quite that slim.

I also had a lot of trouble understanding Andre, amidst the overdubbing, but this was pretty cool. I was somewhat surprised that when she asked about tough opponents he didn't say Maeda.

What was the name besides Hogan he mentioned? I rewinded three times and still could not make it out. Canek maybe?

I didn't get much out of this because of the overdubbing, but from what I heard there wasn't a ton to get. Loss called the questions fourth grade-level, and he was being generous. It didn't help that the interviewer obviously wasn't that familiar with English, at least in a wrestling setting.

 

Andre looked good here for the shape he was in, and he sounded like he was glad to still be in the business, which is all you can ask for at this point. Wasn't his last tour a tour of Mexico?
