My hopes were sky high for this one. It was a fun match, but not at the level I hoped considering who was involved. Casas is his usual awesome self though, especially in spots where he gets frustrated with the flash of Ultimo and tries to outdo him to unfortunate results. There is one spot where Ultimo jumps off the top and Negro and Salvaje are supposed to catch him and they accidentally drop him, which messes up a sequence, but they recover nicely. I'd easily rank this ahead of the AAA trios on this set that happened on the same day, warts and all. The finishes to each fall were all really good.

The heels dominate early and take the first fall, then post Atlantis low and continue dominating the match. The face comeback is strong and this is clearly a much better match than the AAA offering from the same day. It felt much better paced with smoother transitions, better high spots and a lot less crazy my turn/your turn. Loved Atlantis and Casas here.

Far better than the AAA match. Better spots, better structure, and more aggression from all sides. The big technico comeback when Atlantis recovers from getting crotched on the ringpost (with the referee staring right at it, but whatever) is the standout moment. Everybody here was good and everyone had a role to play. Atlantis seems to want a hair vs. mask match with Charles afterward.

This wasn't one of Atlantis' better days: he was crotched on the post early, had a piece of his mask ripped by Charles, was forced to submit the match (Charles got the win, to make matters worse), and then had his mask completely ripped off afterward. His humiliation makes for the story of the bout, which was three falls of craziness in which everyone looked good at least once. It picked up considerably once the tecnicos made their comeback at the start of the second fall.

My only complaint was that the cameras didn't bother to pick up a lot of the action on the outside, which lad to guys seemingly appearing and disappearing from the match at random. I realize that these guys were absolutely everywhere, but you'd think they'd have done at least a little better job trying to keep track of all six of them.

I guess someone who rips a mask in lucha has to tear it all the way off in order to be disqualified, because nobody did anything to Charles for ripping only a corner of Atlantis' mask.
