Loss Posted August 11, 2011 Author Report Posted August 11, 2011 I've seen plenty of Col. Parker promos I haven't liked, but I still haven't seen a Robert Fuller one I haven't liked. Quote
Tim Evans Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Fuller is a great storyteller talking about 2 ponies named Ricky and Robert. Quote
shoe Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 This was so much fun. Fuller is an amazing talker. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted September 16, 2012 Report Posted September 16, 2012 It was a good story. SMW has slowly been improving over the year. Quote
WingedEagle Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 Studd Stable out for a promo on the RNR Express. Robert Fuller is awesome on the mic. Quote
PeteF3 Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 Funny to see this right after Dutch and Fuller were in Memphis as babyfaces. I guess the Moondogs can make anyone come across as a good guy. Quote
GSR Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 It's one of the proudest days in Dutch's life to have Fuller and Golden as guests on today's episode of Down & Dirty. Fuller returns the compliments and then starts to tell a tale about how going to his barn the other night and seeing two new born twin ponies. He called one of them Ricky and the other Robert and then says how he kicked those ponies until they yelped. When he got done with them he went and sat down, but those two ponies came over to him and rested their heads on his lap. Golden then says that it goes to show you can whip a little respect into something, and that's what they're going to do to the Rock & Roll Express. I wasn't as high on this as others seem to have been. There is no doubting on Fuller's delivery, but I wasn't sold on the content of the delivery at all. My least favourite Down & Dirty so far. Quote
garretta Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 I thought this was much more effective than the standard yell, scream, and threaten session we tend to get from Fuller and Golden. Those two are the best two examples I can think of as the stereotypical screaming Southern heel that makes wrestling seem like a joke (and I'm actually a Fuller fan most of the time). Speaking of whom, I think I'm one of the few people who like the Stud better as a Memphis face than the heel that he was for most of his career. The best thing about this was that Golden kept his mouth shut except for one line. We also got the blossoming of the friendship between Dutch and the Stud Stable, which will pay dividends later this year and into '93. I loved the mutual admiration society between Fuller and Dutch. dawho5 Posted February 28, 2021 Report Posted February 28, 2021 I was a big fan of this. Fuller did a great job with his story about the 2 ponies. Quote
