Loss
Lawler takes out his frustrations on young Ben Jordan in a very entertaining squash. Chris Champion comes out in an attempt to calm Lawler down. Champion immediately tells him he better get out of here before he feels the brunt of Lawler's anger. He doesn't oblige and he gets attacked too, with Lawler giving him a piledriver and a DDT on the studio floor. And for good measure, he throws the rest of his soda on him, and turns the announce table over on him, tears it apart and starts jumping up and down on him! He's STILL not satisfied, so now he's smashing him with various pieces of the board and gives him another DDT on the board! Finally, the locker room clears and Lawler bails. Wow. PeteF3
A psychotic Lawler beats down Ben Jordan in an aggressive but not overly chaotic fashion, but when Chris Champion tries to get him to stop he gets the full Moondog treatment and then some. He eats a piledriver and DDT on the floor, gets the desk turned on top of him, gets attacked with the remnants of the desk, and gets beaten to a bloody mess in the ring. All over a bucket of water--incredible.
soup23
Damn Lawler has lost his shit and he goes crazy on the studio and even gets in a shot on Champions terrible hair. This has been a great episode of memphis tv so far.
Cox
Man, what a wild episode of USWA TV. Two people left bloody, a dude getting doused in water, the saga of poor Nate...they packed quite a bit into 90 minutes. I guess it's just as well that the announcer's desk bites the dust here, as it still has the CWA logo on it and the promotion has been called the USWA for over a year. Great scene here. As an aside, did Ben Jordan ever get a push anywhere? He strikes me as kind of the quintessential early 90's job guy, between being skinny with no body, pasty white, and awesome mullet. I know he worked here, SMW, and WWF as a job guy, and I have to imagine he did job work for WCW at some point as well, but was there ever a territory tiny enough for poor Ben Jordan to get a couple of wins? I wouldn't say he was "pushed", but for once he wasn't a total jobber. It's a shame his career never went anywhere. I know Ben, and he's up there in the Bobby Eaton category of "impossibly nice guy". He kept doing Nashville indy shows (complete with the mullet, until a few years ago) but I think he's pretty much retired now. He got middle-aged and chubby, and was always rather short, and clearly none of the bigger companies were ever gonna come calling.
Kevin Ridge
Lawler is still angry from previous segment and takes it out on Gordon. Champion comes out to help Gordon and takes a piledriver on the floor. Lawler stops over by Brown for a little play by play. Jerry is angry. Lawler throws a punch at one point where Gordon bumps for it a bit too early.
Laney
Lawler loses it after having the bucket of water dumped on him and he takes his frustrations out on Jordan. Chris Champion comes out and tries to put a stop to it and becomes a victim too. Good job of making Lawler look like a madman here.

garretta
Wow. Did this lead to a Champion/Lawler match at some point, or was this just an excuse to get Chris out of Memphis? This isn't the type of beating someone usually recovers from, in either a real life or kayfabe sense. For once, the fans boo their King with some gusto, which may be why it was booked this way in the first place. Off to watch the other Lawler squash on this disc! drew wardlaw
The King goes wild and leaves some bodies in his path. I hope it was worth it Jimmy Valiant....
GSR
Dave Brown says that he wouldn’t want to be in Ben Jordan’s shoes today after Jerry Lawler was embarrassed out here just now. Lawler is aggressive throughout this, taking everything out on Jordan. He tosses Jordan to the outside and starts beating on him out there when Chris Champion comes out to try to put a stop to things. Lawler tells him that it’s his match and to get out of there or he’ll get some too. Champion tells him not to take it out on this kid, but when he helps Jordan to his feet and with his back to The King, Lawler nails him from behind. Piledriver on the floor to Champion and Lawler says that he’s going to teach Champion not to mess in his business. Champion is busted open by now and Lawler continues to beat on them both. DDT to the floor on Champion and he pulls the announcing desk over and on top of him. Eddie Marlin is out to try and put a stop to things but doesn’t have much luck. Lawler drags Champion into the ring and DDTs on him on part of the now broken announcing desk. The locker room empties at this point and Lawler finally stops the attack. Before heading back to the dressing room he goes over to Dave Brown and says that Jimmy Valiant is his and he’ll be crying ‘mercy’ by the time he gets through with him. This was some beat down on Champion, leaving him a bloody mess and the kind of attack that ‘should’ see him out of action for several months. My only gripe was that Robert Fuller had already DDT’d Brian Lee on the floor earlier in the show, and in this day when it wasn’t an overdone transitional move, did Lawler really need to do the same move? The piledriver on the floor was brutal enough and he could have just gone from that to ruining the announcing desk over Champion’s body. Pissed off, angry Lawler is the best kind of Lawler. dawho5
Lawler kills it (and everyone not named Dave Brown) here. Awesome segment.
