Loss
Dundee is quickly interrupted by Tatum, dragging Tessa out with him. Tatum gets in Dundee's face to make sure he understands that Tessa loves him and no one else. He bullies Tessa into saying she loves him, then attacks Dundee by throwing him into the post. Dundee is bleeding. Tessa tries to reason with him and he yells at her. This angle is just getting started.
Strummer
I remember this angle from the ESPN days. From how out of whack the time lapses were I have no idea when it aired
PeteF3
We get a recap of the match from 5/18 that we apparently missed out on--Dundee's boot had gotten removed and Tessa tossed it into the ring. Dundee caught it and hit Tatum with it for the pin--so whom did Tessa throw the boot to? Tatum declares that it was a mistake anybody could have made and coerces Tessa into declaring her love for Tatum. Dundee isn't interested in fighting and gives up his interview time to Tatum, only to get leveled from behind and posted, all while Tatum dares Tessa to take Dundee now. soup23
Real good segment and I liked Dundee arguing that if he abused Tessa she would say she loved him to. Dundee is a bloody mess which resonated because oddly we have really not seen much blood so far in 1990.
Kevin Ridge
Dundee has the belt back from Tatum. And here’s Tatum with his valet. Tatum attacks Dundee from behind who gets busted open. Tessa tries to pull Tatum off. Travis comes out to help Dundee. I miss him as heel already.
Cox
I need to see this alleged boot throw. John Tatum is 6'3" and Bill Dundee is like 5'3". There's no way if Bill Dundee wound up with the boot that there was any intention by Tessa for Tatum to catch it. John Tatum is a pretty believable abusive boyfriend and all around douchebag here. Dundee kind of gives away that he's going to bleed by wearing white. Nice angle and I'm looking forward to watching this progress.
garretta
Wow, this was uncomfortable to watch in 2015. I remembered Tatum as a pretty boy in the UWF and World Class, but he's an extremely believable psycho here, and we get more blood than we're used to on weekly TV from the posting he gives Dundee. Tessa gets physical with him trying to pull him off of Dundee, which is rare for women in an abuse angle. I wonder what Percy meant when he said that he'd better not stick his foot in his mouth again about this situation. Does anybody know? Most important of all, how did Jarrett's Southern title end up exclusively in Texas? I wondered why we hadn't heard about it on the Memphis side for a while. It almost seems like that was supposed to be Dallas's main belt, with Lawler and the Unified title coming in only sparingly, like the NWA World Champion used to. drew wardlaw
Tatum has really stood out in this feud. I've really enjoyed him and he really comes off unstable, and actually pretty nuanced. There's some delusions of grandeur and jealously and rage, it's very good character work.
GSR
Bill Dundee is out for an interview with Percy Pringle and Percy is glad that Dundee has his belt back. Dundee says that he never thought about it until John Tatum bought it up, but did Tessa throw that boot to himself or Tatum? He’s interrupted by an angry Tatum dragging Tessa with him. Tatum manhandles her, telling her to stand by him, before telling Dundee that she didn’t throw the boot to him it was a mistake, she doesn’t want to kiss him and doesn’t care about him either. He grabs Tessa by the neck and nigh on forces her to admit she loves him. Dundee says he believes that if he was to grab her by the neck like he did, she’d tell him she loved him! He tells him that they’ll fight later and everyone knows who won last week and he’ll win Tessa too! Dundee heads back to the dressing room only to be jumped by Tatum who throws him into the ring post busting him open. He continues to beat on Dundee with Tessa trying to get him to stop but he just pushes her away. Tatum leaves Dundee in a bloody mess on the floor and asks Tessa if she wants to kiss him now? Billy Joe Travis and Jeff Jarrett end up coming to help the ‘Superstar’ up and to the back. Good angle and Texas is on fire at the moment. Tatum is awesome as this possessive, abusive boyfriend, we get a blade job, some nice selling from Dundee and I’m liking what I’ve seen of Tessa so far too. Pringle is annoying during this to the point I wish he would shut up. He’s practically giving a running commentary on what’s going on whilst also sounding pretty pathetic at times (‘John, don’t do this! Stop him Tessa!’). I do think a lot of the problem is to do with his voice more than anything mind, but then if he was quiet, that wouldn’t be an issue. With Loss saying that this angle is only getting started can’t wait to see where we go from here.
dawho5
Tatum as an abusive asshole is really, really good. Too good maybe. Nice beatdown on Dundee.
