You can see Austin gaining confidence throughout this feud. They hype the mixed tag match on the 4th of July. Tons of S & M innuendo in this one. Jeanne shows a picture of herself with her "ex-boyfriend Sylvester Stallone" and mentions keeping the affair secret so Brigitte Nielsen wouldn't find out.

Austin and Jeannie are coming off a handcuffing of Chris Adams, and are quite sure Adams has been handcuffed before. This might be Jeannie's best interview yet, bringing up a past tryst with "Sly" and continued hype of the mixed tag.

Jeannie sounded real good here and Austin was coming into his own even going off script to jaw with some crowd members. This promo took a lot more sexual tone than what had transpired so far in the feud.

This was good stuff. Austin is growing by leaps and bounds working this program. With the accent you can buy Jeannie as some dominatrix.

Austin talks about last night match with Adams. Chris managed to get himself handcuff to the ropes. Mix tag match has been signed between Austin/Jeannie and Chris and Toni Adams. When Jeanie does her promos she always takes the mic herself. Nice touch. She asks if Chris’ husband has been working late? Huh. Messed up her words there a bit. Jeannie use to date Stallone.

I'm surprised that some of the raunchier stuff made TV. Austin gets himself bleeped here, which is a nice bit of foreshadowing for Stone Cold later on, and Jeannie turns up the innuendo as much as she dares, which is guaranteed to draw heat in conservative Texas. I liked the references to Stallone, but I don't think that was actually her in the picture with him.

 

Craig kills the mood by smiling through the whole thing. Honest to God, wasn't there anyone else they could have used? Take Percy out of his angles and make him the full-time play-by-play guy, for heaven's sake. Anything but this guy, who's actively hurting everything you're trying to accomplish on a weekly basis.

Haha Sly Stalone with Jeannie! Alright alright we get it with the handcuff stuff. Austin continues to improve but this is kind of annoying.

Craig Johnson refers to Steve and Jeanie as the most dangerous pair in wrestling. He says how last night at the Sportatorium the TV cameras may not have been here, but a pair of handcuffs were. Austin says that they had the match and Chris wanted the stipulation that if any of the girls interfered it would be a $10,000 fine. Toni the beep that she is, tried to instigate something with Jeanie so that they would have to pay the fine, but that didn’t work. What did happen was that Chris Adams bought some handcuffs to the ring as he thought he was going to need them, but something happened during the match and he ended up getting handcuffed to the ropes with his own cuffs. On July 4^th a mixed tag team match has been signed between himself and Jeanie, the future of the USWA, and Chris & Toni Adams. He owns Chris so he’s not worried about him, but Toni was raised on a shrimp boar, is trash and is probably pretty tough, but despite this they are both very confident for the match. Jeanie says how Chris got a big kick out of wearing those handcuffs and she knows he enjoyed giving her that spanking as he always did like it to sting a little bit. She has been receiving more letters from all the husbands out there, this time wanting a lock of her beautiful long, naturally blonde hair. She also has another photograph with her, this time of her ex-boyfriend Sylvester Stallone, but they had to keep it a secret as they didn’t want Bridget to find out! Come the mixed tag team match when she gets her hands on her she’s going to tear Toni apart and it’ll all be her own fault as she made the decision and she wanted the match.

I second getting rid of Craig. That guy irritated me from the instant he replaced Marc Lowrance. Great promo by both Austin and Jeannie.

Excellent promo by Austin. Does he look like a futur star or what ? Jeannie give the price of her dress, 5000$. That's sooo old-school. The handcuff deal was kinda kinky and fun. Austin being blipped for calling Toni a bitch was a Stone Cold foreshadowing. Another brutal post-match beating with yet another bump to the outside over the top rope. Jeannie looks like a queen here too (and it's impossible not to think about Debra, although Jeannie was better looking and a much more interesting performer to boot).
