Loss Posted January 8, 2013 Author Report Posted January 8, 2013 This is a little more predictable, with the Nastys attacking the Steiners. The brawling looks really good, as Steiner gets thrown through a table that doesn't break and they throw some great punches. This is capped off by a pair of Nasty Boys and Steiners promos. The Nasty Boys' look is slightly different than the one they are more famous for. Quote
PeteF3 Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 Good heated brawl as the Nasties sucker the Steiners with belt shots at the contract signing. The Nasties' weird charisma is undeniable here. The Steiners stumble their way through a response promo. Quote
soup23 Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 Better brawl than the Sting vs. Sid one. I wish the Nasties would had stuck around WCW from 1990-1994 straight through. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 Another contract signing with Nasty Boys and Steiners. Overdoing it by having it twice on same show and we are obviously due for someone getting attacked. Nasty Boys with stiff looking blows on the Steiners. This match could be fun. Rick forgets the name of the upcoming PPV. No time to do another take of the interview? Quote
ajtroma Posted June 7, 2013 Report Posted June 7, 2013 I have a visceral hatred for the Nasty Boys. So unless they burst into flames, I cant recommend any of this. Quote
PhilTLL Posted January 18, 2015 Report Posted January 18, 2015 A nice piece of work here to build the Nasty Boys, who are looking surprisingly dangerous after a win over the Southern Boys. Especially considering their strange penchant in their first few weeks for giving a bunch to jobber teams before beating them. The table spot feels pretty vicious for the time. Quote
garretta Posted March 5, 2015 Report Posted March 5, 2015 The trash talking and brawl were tremendous, as you didn't often see the Steiners thrown around and beaten up the way the Nasties did it here. The promos were a mixed bag; the Nasties were solid, but the Steiners, particularly Rick, were awful here. How did they ever let the part where Rick couldn't say "Halloween Havoc" make it to air? The only answer I can think of is that there were other takes that were even worse, if that's possible. Scott just sounded like a stereotypical lunkheaded jock. How did this match get a contract signing segment, but the match for the more important belts (Horsemen/Doom) didn't? If you're going to have a segment like this, why waste it on a lesser title, even if that title is held by the Steiners? I'm sure that Doom and the Horsemen could have cooked up just as good a brawl as the one we saw here. Quote
drew wardlaw Posted May 24, 2016 Report Posted May 24, 2016 Looks like we may have a preview of things to come at Halloween Havoc! Quote
dawho5 Posted May 17, 2017 Report Posted May 17, 2017 Nasties were never a team I got. But there is definitely a vibe to them that feels different than pretty much anything else at the time. And it's an intriguing matchup with the more technical (but still capable brawlers) the Steiners. Quote
