Jmare007 Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Does anyone else think the German announcers replacing the Spanish announcers is a radical Vince over reaction to the Del Rio/Mysterio situation? Haven't noticed in a LONG time but aren't Carlos and Marcelo only ringside for PPVs?
Steenalized Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Typically, yes. Maybe they just had the German team stick around since they're already there for Summerslam. Whatever happened to the French announcers?
Shining Wiz Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Typically, yes. Maybe they just had the German team stick around since they're already there for Summerslam. Whatever happened to the French announcers? They surrendered their spots when the Germans showed up.
hammerva Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 I figure it is more storyline but it seems that Lawler is getting more and more sick of listening to JBL in past weeks. Join the club Jerry Man that sit down power bomb onto a ton of chairs was just sick
Guest Eduardo James Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 (1) Hornswoggle & El Torito (w/Los Matadores) beat Heath Slater & Titus O'Neil. Hornswoggle was dressed as a cow. Titus bullied Torito, who got the advantage over the heels. Hornswoggle then pinned Slater after Torito hit a top-rope moonsault, followed by a top-rope splash from Swoggle. At least Titus wasn't the one who dropped the fall.
Jmare007 Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Go film that movie Dean. His comeback is gonna be something else.
Strummer Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 quite the interesting night. Ryback getting cheered over Reigns in the six man and that showcase main event for Ambrose/Rollins with the crowd in their palms. No doubt who came across as bigger stars
tim Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 That match was absolutely incredible and Dean is a mega star waiting to happen. There is no answer to who should be the next GUY in the WWE other than him. Hopefully he is back soon. The idea of taking the hottest face and most interesting act in the company and shipping him off to film some dumb movie sounds like the most ridiculous decision in the world to me.
Strummer Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 there is pretty much zero doubt in my mind now that the fanbase is going to reject Reign's push at the expense of Ambrose
tim Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Am I the only one who liked this RAW more than Summerslam?
Matt D Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 A couple weeks off at this point is just going to make the crowd hotter for Ambrose when he comes charging back.
KrisZ Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Ryback was cheered because he is from Vegas
Jmare007 Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 A couple weeks off at this point is just going to make the crowd hotter for Ambrose when he comes charging back. He should return at NOC or the RAW after and challenge Seth to a Hell In A Cell match. The big Ambrose vs Rollins blow off match is a perfect main event for that show. And if Brock is not working that month, even better.
Matt D Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 I missed chunks of the show. Are Goldust and Stardust going to challenge the Usos now? Also, the head writer of Smackdown is obviously a huge Dolph fan (he's much more prominent on that show, including challenging batista right after his turn for a few weeks, etc), so I'm curious how he's going to use him as IC champion.
NintendoLogic Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 I realize that I'm a distinct minority, but I really wish we could go back to brawls centered around dudes punching each other in the mouth rather than dudes doing stunt spots involving tables and chairs.
Loss Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 You're in the minority, but I'm with you on that one.
The Chief Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Ryback was cheered because he is THE F'IN MAN Corrected that for you
Russellmania Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Summerslam was great. RAW, I just shut it off. I can't take it. It's a 3-hour infomercial that's 50% replays & the other 50% rematches or jobber filler. Just trash TV. lol your loss jabroni
ButchReedMark Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Is there an argument for Mark Henry being the best promo guy in the industry over the past few years? He was absolutely pitch perfect again tonight.
Kostka Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 That Mark Henry promo when he turned heel to set up the Cena match last year was my favorite thing in the company all year.
tim Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Is Henry the most underutilized guy in company history? Even with all his injuries, every moment he wasn't injured he should have been a top main eventer.
goc Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 It's hard to really feature a guy when you don't know if he's going to stay healthy enough to play out a story. I'm a big Mark Henry fan but I can't even say I blame them for not pushing him very hard now.
Sidebottom Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 That Mark Henry promo when he turned heel to set up the Cena match last year was my favorite thing in the company all year. That was excellent television for sure. I completely bought it as a legit moment literally up until the point of the turn.
