hammerva Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 You have to wonder how many times they had to stop Stephanie from laughing hysterically at the "there is no such thing as politics in the WWE" line.
sek69 Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 So from how the Steph/Lana interplay went down, it kind of looks like Rusev might be the one who turns on Team Authority. If that wasn't planting the seed for something, it was quite the ball-chopping of the gimmick.
goc Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 That would kind of make perfect sense for their characters. Why would they care about the outcome at all?
Jimmy Redman Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 I assume Swagger is only there to be taken out on the night to get Orton in as the surprise member.
sek69 Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Hearing an apology for interrupting the Russian anthem just broke my grew-up-on-80s-wrestling brain.
Jimmy Redman Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 OK, I posted in that other thread 5 minutes too early, because the Sheamus/Rusev headbutt exchange on the apron is the most excited I've been by something in a ring since Summerslam.
KrisZ Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 I could see Rusev walking out on Team Authority during the match but no way they are turning face.
Marty Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Yeah, I think Rusev walks out on them (it's an easy way to protect him) but it'll be Bad News Brown style rather than a turn.
Strummer Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 The fall away slam into the announce table was sick. Kudos to Sheamus for taking that bump
Strummer Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Just saw an amazing stat on twitter   There have been 45 Raws this year. 28 of them have started with an Authority promo.
Strummer Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Hunter acting gangsta never ceases to make me laugh
sek69 Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 I'm actually digging how they are building the main event for Survivor Series so far. They've made a point of showing how Team Authority don't really like each other and how Team Cena's game plan is basically "fuck it, let's go down swinging".
The Chief Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 I'm liking the build too. Reminds me of 2003 with Team Austin vs Team Bischoff. And that was an awesome match.
goodhelmet Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 After Swagger was a sure thing, I had Big Show and Sheamus penciled in. Had no idea that Ryback would be picking up steam like he has.
The Chief Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 So many directions they can take this. Just imagine the roof blowing off the place when Cena and Rusev finally square off....
Mini Bennett Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Disappointed by the lack of Mercury and Noble in the main event. Perfect fodder for the multi tag.
Marty Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Final backstage bit was great! Was worried that Ryback's defection meant an excuse for HHH to don the tights again, but I'm legit excited about Luke Harper being part of that team!
Strummer Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Why did Harper pronounce it "playa"? Don't know but it was great
Strummer Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 My God Steph and Hunter have been in like 17000 segments the last few weeks. Their characters need some time away or it's like early 2000s all over again in terms of overexposure
sek69 Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Why did Harper pronounce it "playa"? Don't know but it was great   Southern accent I'd assume. Perhaps he was trying to Cajun it up a little since the Wyatt's backstory was they lived in the swamp.
WingedEagle Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Not optimistic it'll go any further than adding something different to the Survivor Series match, but really love Harper in there, and frankly Rusev & Ryback as well. Lot of directions they can go.
pol Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Hopefully they parlay this into a Rusev/Ryback singles program
Mini Bennett Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 Hopefully they parlay this into a Rusev/Ryback singles program Wouldn't that just lead to the same complaints we saw for Mark Henry-Ryback? That WWE booked themselves into a corner and neither guy can afford to lose.
