Loss Posted April 5, 2013 Author Report Posted April 5, 2013 I wonder who's eating the fall here? Decent match, but clipped and forgettable. Fun for Kawada losing his cool when Ogawa bloodies his nose. Quote
Childs Posted April 12, 2013 Report Posted April 12, 2013 Yeah, good action here and a little chance to see Ogawa showcased, but this isn't one that will stand out in the memory. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 Kawada outsmarts Jumbo by ducking the lariat and hitting the powerbomb on Ogawa. Somewhere Kawada’s mouth got bloody and he’s steamed about it after match and he gives Ogawa a couple more kicks while he was lying on mat. Quote
soup23 Posted September 26, 2013 Report Posted September 26, 2013 I liked this as a Jumbo/lesser opponent showcase even though you knew where this was headed. Also Ogawa vs. Kawada doesn't feel like a feud you see very much but it was heated here and Misawa busted out his athletic side. Fun but forgetable. Quote
garretta Posted June 23, 2015 Report Posted June 23, 2015 This was mostly a showcase for newcomer (at least to this feud) Ogawa, and he acquitted himself well, never appearing lost and even scoring several near falls. In the end though, he's powerbombed and pinned by Kawada despite Jumbo's best efforts to break it up, thus getting a win back for the Misawa side in the ongoing megafeud. Of just as much interest as the result to me is that Misawa was able to stop Jumbo from interfering with the final pin, which hasn't happened often before this. It was important to give Misawa a moment where he got the upper hand on Jumbo even in an incidental way, since Baba seemed reluctant to give him a definitive, game-changing victory over Jumbo at this point. JKWebb Posted June 28, 2017 Report Posted June 28, 2017 Yeah, the Ogawa giving Kawada a taste of his own medicine using/imitating the Kawada kicks to the head was pretty awesome. The crowd really got into that moment, then as Loss mentioned Kawada lost his cool. It may have been short and clipped, but I was still really entertained by this. I actually enjoyed it more than the NJPW tag that preceded it on the set (but had had better reviews). To be fair, that one was show in it's entirety. Per usual, I thought Jumbo had a great presence and was delivering some pretty impactful blows here. Quote
dawho5 Posted December 11, 2017 Report Posted December 11, 2017 Kawada going WAY too hard on a front facelock and Ogawa freaking out to let him know was a fun little bit before that kicking sequence. Ogawa does really well for himself here even if he ends up being the object of Kawada's wrath. Quote
