anarchistxx
Well that was tedious. The only interesting part was the arm lock that wouldn't end, and only then because I figured HHH would have booked himself to make Lesnar tap. 'The legendary career of Triple-H goes on,' Michael Cole was gushing at the end. Legend at his own lunch table. Yet again he fails to deliver when given every opportunity. Ah well Brock, you sow what you reap as JBL might say. Wonder where next for Lesnar? Makes you wonder why they gave him another year, they already jobbed him out to the two quintessentially 'WWE guys' in Trips and Cena. tim
aside from the awful result i actually dont think that would've been bad without the shitty crowd. as it stands it felt terribly awkward and major spots fell flat.
Dylan Waco
HHH should never be allowed to wrestle again. He's a "legend" so he only really works as a face in the current environment but he is complete dogshit as a face because he has no clue how to work vulnerable at all. The stuff with the kimura is one of the bigger ego stroking things I've ever seen in wrestling.
Childs
Lesnar is pretty great as a special attraction guy. All those suplexes looked awesome. The idea that HHH could compete with him seemed pretty comical. Would've been nice to see more intense brawling. I was fantasizing about Lesnar against a prime Stan Hansen. I don't know. The match was fairly well designed, but the result, as much as it was expected, left a bad taste.
Stiva
Holy christ, that would not end. Heyman gave it his all on the outside but man, the kimura lock sequence accomplished fucking nothing but I was convinced HHH was gonna book himself to beat the UFC guy with "his" move. The only crowd noise there was the pop when it was over.

Childs
This has actually been a very "wrestling" show. Not a ton to distract from the matches compared to some of the other Manias.

Marty
Worth noting that they're not even pretending to have the record attendance at MetLife, as the Giants drew 82k vs. Dallas just last year.
anarchistxx
Hasn't really had a big night feel, certainly not compared to the last few Wrestlemania's where they have really ramped up the theatre and spectacle to make it feel special. Nobody even sang the national anthem, did they? Been very underwhelming when taken in the context of the biggest show of the year.
Death From Above
Lesnar is pretty great as a special attraction guy. All those suplexes looked awesome. The idea that HHH could compete with him seemed pretty comical. Would've been nice to see more intense brawling. I was fantasizing about Lesnar against a prime Stan Hansen. I don't know. The match was fairly well designed, but the result, as much as it was expected, left a bad taste. One of my all-time, could not happen without a Star Trek time machine matches would be Vader/Hansen vs. Lesnar/Goldberg. Just for the Godzilla vs. King Kong effect of the whole thing. Anyway, HHH really isn't anywhere near as good as he thinks he is. People can knock Dory Funk Jr. for being a pretty boring long-match worker but I think I'd watch 100 long Dory matches before I'd watch 100 long HHH matches. I was making fun of this HHH/Lesnar thing last night with a friend saying I fully expected it to be 20 minutes of headlocks followed by no-selling a sledgehammer to the nuts. That might have been preferable just for the internet reaction and all the shit it would have stirred.
Matt D
This match is like a video game match with the reversals without substance. Also, it feels awfully early for them to be doing some of this stuff.
Dylan Waco
The visible spot calling in both Rock v. Cena matches is Sid WarGames 91 level ridiculous
Ditch
no-selling a sledgehammer to the nuts.Lesnar no-selling, or quickly recovering from a sledge shot followed by coming back and winning would have accomplished something; it would have been an even more decisive finish than Summerslam and it would make him look nigh unstoppable even after he lost to Cena last year. Then they could work towards something like Lesnar/Ryback for this year's Summerslam. But nope, gotta have the WWE guys win at Mania. Tim Evans
I hope this teaches WWE to have the Taker match on last. Crazy that Cena/Rock can get hardly any heat.
Kostka
Post come back Rock is awful. He's been both Cena and Punks, who are generally two of the better guys in the company, worst matches in a while.
Matt D
Cena's confused look was stretch armstrong levels of grotesque.
Stiva
Everytime Cena heels it up in this match, it's supremely entertaining.
goodhelmet
John Cena vs. The Rock - This felt better than last year's match as they decided to do away with the bearhug stuff and Rock didn't seem blown up like the rest of the matches unless I was missing something. Smart thing to have Cena's music playing louder than any other song at the end because ....oops music is off and the crowd is booing. Oh well, too bad they went the safe route on the show. Exposer
Cena vs. Rock The spot calling in this was incredible. I swear I saw every major spot called in this and more. The callback spots were really good in this and there were a few great near falls but the finish felt pretty anti-climactic. The post-match was whatever. Marty
Ironic that on the night HHH's career was on the line, they're playing it like Rock's last match was tonight.
Matt D
You know those assholes who get pissy when things happen logically and they're not swerved? I think I'm with them this once, because logic was pretty damn painful tonight.
