goc Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 This is the first month I'm just going to pass on. Quote
Beast Posted October 12, 2015 Author Report Posted October 12, 2015 Just an update as two of our newest bookers are first and may not know the rules of this draft. Each month we draft any workers who are debuting or returning that month. If you draft, you move to the back of the line and can continue to draft workers as your turn comes up (and continue moving to the end of the line) until you are done. If you don't want to draft anyone this month, you can PASS and that means you keep your spot for the next month's draft. So, Memphis is up now and can pick or pass, followed by Florida, followed by JCP. Quote
kevinmcfl Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 Is there anyway we could list past December so I know what is on the horizon before I pass or select Quote
Beast Posted October 13, 2015 Author Report Posted October 13, 2015 All I've got right now is up to January. KrisZ does it even though he dropped out a few weeks ago. He's busy, but was able to do January. He might do February soon too, I don't know. We typically had 3 months to see before we finished out the year for September. Quote
goc Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 Don't overthink it. Is there someone you could really see as worth the value of losing your #1 spot? If there is, take them. If there isn't then pass. The only person who has gotten taken with the #1 pick so far is Marty Jannetty if that helps you figure out what the value of that pick might be. Quote
dawho5 Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 That will change though. Think of when guys like Michaels, Austin, Sting, Luger & Dustin become available. Those are going to be heavily planned months before that. Quote
Beast Posted October 13, 2015 Author Report Posted October 13, 2015 Right. If you don't see anyone you REALLY want right now, just know that there will be a bunch of debuts coming in 1984/1985 and that you can keep your spot as long as you want provided you don't pick. Quote
NWATerritorySuperfan Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 CWF will select Mike Von Erich Quote
El Boricua Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 Just to make sure i don't hold this up later, WWC will be passing for November. Quote
Super Stan Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 Under this system, I will pass but wouldn't it make more sense to do a random draw or base the draw on lottery numbers or something? With this system, no one will make trades for fear of losing their "spot" whereas a random draw can create a flurry of activity before the draft and possibly during the year trading for potential futures. Quote
Beast Posted October 13, 2015 Author Report Posted October 13, 2015 We aren't redrawing. It's not like there's a ton of high quality talent available in these yet to provoke a flurry of trades. There have been months where people draft a ton and some where they don't. If we randomize it again, it'll be unfair for those of us who are just now getting to the top of the list. And frankly, there's no reason to redraw. It works fine. This is a rule that does not need to be changed, especially at this point. Quote
goc Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 Gotta agree this system is fine it's not like there is a ton of useful talent that gets introduced each month and a lot of the guys haven't even been getting drafted lately. Quote
Boon Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 I'm holding onto my draft pick until Phil Hickerson becomes available next year... Quote
LowBlowPodcast Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 Waiting to book Dennis Stamp - Pass for this month. Quote
kevinmcfl Posted October 15, 2015 Report Posted October 15, 2015 Is there a deadline for people to pick or pass. The 24 hour rule we used for the Drop out draft has passed. Quote
goc Posted October 15, 2015 Report Posted October 15, 2015 Yea rainmaker you're up to pick or pass (why were you waiting for Wahoo anyway?) ICW already passed and Stampede is a dummy promotion Quote
