What books on pro wrestling do you own or have read?

Books I have bought...

Both Foley books

Pure Dynamite

Mysteries of Wrestling: Solved

Death of WCW

Wrestlecrap

Tributes I & II

Top 100 Pro Wrestlers of All Time

The Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame: The Tag Teams

Chokehold

Books given to me as a gift...

Scott Keith's first book (the one with Goldberg on the cover)

Tonight...in this very ring

I have "Wrestling at the Chase" on the way from Amazon. The only WWE produced books I have are the Foley ones, which are exceptional. Sad news from the Observer is that Eddie's book has been disappointing thus far in terms of sales as it is behind even the Shawn Michaels book. Still, I don't anticipate reading either Shawn or Eddie's book. I am interested in Terry Funk's book as well as the soon to be released Bill Watts book and Scott Williams' ECW book.

What pro wrestling books do you own or have read?

I forgot I also have Sex, Lies, and Headlocks. I got that one when it first came out on hardcover.

Don't see myself being able to buy Russo's book, ever.

If I ever get time and more money, I could see myself getting both Heenan books.

Speaking of books on ECW, Scott Williams' "Hardcore History: The Extremely Unauthorized story of ECW" is slated for hardcover release March 1, 2006. On the Figure 4 Daily podcast a few weeks ago, Bryan Alvarez had Scott Williams on and he said he attempted to get Foley and I think RVD for quotes for the book and they told him that Vince McMahon had specifically told them not to speak to him because of the potential content of the book. Williams is saying he will have one of the better books on ECW because he doesn't have to answer to or make happy guys like Vince McMahon, Paul Heyman, Eric Bischoff, or Tod Gordon. Of course, this sounds like a big selling point, but I am still interested in Williams book.

It's virtually all Memphis and him crying about Stacy Carter leaving him (this is like 1/4 of the book).

I think the book kind of sucks. He doesn't really go into detail about his career. You really don't know what it's like to be Jerry "The King" Lawler after reading it. You do know what it's like to have your 21 year-old wife leave you is like, though.

I wasn't all that interested in his story when I bought the book in 2002, but thought I would be after i read it. I was actually less of a fan of his after reading the book.

I really want to start looking into Wrestling history, so I have the Stampede and St. Louis book on the way right now because I have some down time and want something different to tackle.

I've read:

-Both of Foley's

-Sex, Lies, and Headlocks

-Two of Keith's (Goldberg cover and I think Austin stunning someone cover)

-Heenan's

-Edge's

-Dynamite Kid's

-Rock's

I think that's it. I enjoyed Foley's first one and Dynamite's the best. Dynamite's bitterness made for such a fun read.

If it weren't for Dynamite putting the matches over as real so much, his book would be the equivalent ofa ***** wrestling book. Still, damn good read and highly recommended.
