goc
(Terribly) cosplaying Brick from The Middle? Not seeing how it could be called terrible cosplay seeing as how Sami has felt very genuine and real in those backstage segments.
sek69
Lana is a legit good dancer, gtfo. Although wtf is the point of a burlesque dancer type gimmick on a PG show for a non-wrestler who even if she wrestles is going to be bottom of the barrel. She's not even NXT house show level in the ring, so I can't imagine she'll be doing in ring stuff, and with Rusev ready to come back, it seems weird to have them on the same show but split and doing different gimmicks. I mean, I'm not really opposed to giving people something new to do, but I don't see where this specific gimmick can possibly go in this specific era and time. She is a good dancer, which is what made it even more hilarious that the video that came out from the NXT show was so bad. She was trying to dance a style she apparently isn't as familiar with and it was Tim and Eric Show levels of awkward to watch.
Strummer
I listened to Shane on Austin's podcast and I thought he came across very well. I don't know if he was playing "good cop" but he seemed to realize why certain segments of the fanbase have problems with creative. Good listen. sek69
I think there's a bit of good cop, but I think it's clear he has a different opinion on a lot of things than Vince too. I seem to recall back when he was still the heir apparent there was rumors of how he wanted to do wacky things like get rid of the ring, so his current standing as the sane McMahon who's the hero to the masses will always make me giggle. Strummer
He's had a lot of bad creative ideas but it just seems like he's willing to accept different styles and different workers more than those in charge now. Again it's most likely good cop but he comes across a likeable guy
Strummer
wwe.com saying Braun had his surgery and could miss up to 6 months. But of course they could be kayfabing on the time missed
stro
I like this idea that the cruiserweights and 205 Live aren't over not because of the 25 straight weeks of the same 3 angles on an hour long show and because nearly all of the heavyweights work a junior style anyway, but because VINCE got his hands on them and made them tone everything down into a plodding style. When, of course, they clearly have no in ring restrictions on the show and do crazy shit in every match. All these dudes make it clear they don't actually watch 205 Live. And it's also been made clear that workrate for the sake of workrate doesn't mean dick to even smart fans who claim they want workrate only. If it did, 205 Live would be their most popular show on the Network and Roman Reigns would be their favorite wrestler. Also, Braun getting hurt is the worst thing to happen to WWE since rehiring Festus.
goc
Actually if they had rehired Festus instead of Gallows that would have been fine. That gimmick could have maybe hidden how completely broken down he seems to be now.
Jimmy James
According to Meltzer and others, the Braun injury is a work and they're bringing him back for Summerslam. Anyone watch Finn/Roman? Great match, those guys bring out the best in each other.
The Chief
Bray Wyatt has officially been eclipsed by every other member of his group. Luke Harper is a better worker, Braun Strowman constantly has the best segments on TV, and Rowan just played a better Bray Wyatt character than Bray himself. In a 5 minute Talking Smack segment, Rowan came off as much more unsettling than all the years of goofy Bray nonsense promos and SFX combined. Genuine too. Is there anything Bray is better at than these guys?
Jimmy Redman
All I know is that on Raw, Sasha hit Alicia Fox with a tackle and girl bumped so hard she ended up BACK ON HER FEET. Fight forever.
Johnny Sorrow
Gotta love Rowan swinging for the fences with his character development on Talking Smack. That show is where people get to do unscripted shit to try and make a buzz and while some of his shit flopped, some of it worked.

stro
Bray is for sure going to go down as the worst booked dude of his generation

Strummer
I've been enjoying the lack of 20 minute promos on Raw recently. I mean the show has been pretty much wall to wall in ring stuff the last month or so. I don't know if it's a change in philosophy or just because Stephanie and Foley types haven't been around in awhile. I like that they have had Angle be short and to the point and not have him dueling with other guys like they usually do, I doubt it lasts and I'm sure it will go back to form when Stephanie returns but I'm liking it
Jmare007
Where was Rusev, btw? He was at the Nashville Predators playoff game. I think he was doing similar stuff to what Bryan was doing with the SF Giants.
Strummer
Jericho revealed in a radio interview that the original plan was for him to win the Universal title at mania (presumably against Owens) and then lose it to Brock at Payback.
