Zoo Enthusiast
I'm beyond pumped for this show, which does not bode well because we know what happens with massive expectations. That being said, major bonus points if they finish anywhere close to 11. I just don't see how Shield/New Day, Usos/Cesaro & Sheamus, and Brock/AJ don't range from very good to great. Women's matches may be hit or miss, and the men's SS match could range from horrible (due to length and booking) to great. I'm setting the over/under line for intros during the main Survivor Series tag at 16 minutes and starting the clock when the first entrant's music begins to play. STOKED. Don't let me down. This is my state of mind, as well. I was super jazzed seeing this on paper. The only Raw/Smackdown I watched were the go-home episodes and that worked great for my expectations. C.S.
Is it bad that I'm using this match to cook dinner? The outcome is so obvious that I can't bring myself to care. I'd LOVE to be able to eat my words though while I eat dinner.
Ricky Jackson
Just checked in. Not sure how closely I'll be watching in an hour when my beloved Eagles play the Cowboys. Really want to see Brock vs AJ though
...TG
The match has been fun but feels really disjointed and sloppy so far.
FMKK
The set piece spots here have been half a step off
EricR
I'm doing a live blog over at Segunda Caida. Last year's SS was one of the toughest shows to get through of the entire year, though I ended up actually liking the 40 minute + main event a lot more than most folks. This card looks a lot more interesting. http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2017/11/wwe-survivor-series-2017-live-blog.html
The Thread Killer
The opener was good, but it wasn't great. I didn't hate it or anything, but there appeared to be some sloppiness.
hammerva
Where can we get Alicia Fox's hat I can't believe they would get rid of an old entrance song as great as Taminia. I mean come on 4 minutes of TA MIN A TA MIN A. what can go wrong
WingedEagle
Shield vs. New Day Really fun opener that had great teamwork, didn't overdo the near falls and had some great spots and saves before a fun finish. ***3/
Zoo Enthusiast
It is pretty amazing that Tamina is still employed.
hammerva
I mean the RAW team should win in order to protect Asuka but it wouldn't shock me if she gets pinned by Tamina or Carmella
Jmare007
Dueling chants for brands, that's something I never thought I'd hear.
FMKK
Eliminating Becky super early is rough. I thought shed have to do the majority of the carrying for that Smackdown team. It looks rough without her.
hammerva
Man they are really going all in on Taminia in this match. I mean 2 eliminations already.
Zoo Enthusiast
What the hell happened on the Fox elimination?
FMKK
That Naomi and Alicia exchange was a certified mess
FMKK
What the hell happened on the Fox elimination? I think she was meant to kick out into Naomi's submission but didn't get up in time. Made worse by the fact that they fucked up the tilt-a-whirl reversal beforehand and had to repeat it. C.S.
Can they telegraph Raw's win any more obviously?
hammerva
Yeah this is definitely designed to put over Asuka which they should. Man I don't know about her against Tamina though
WingedEagle
Raw Women vs. Smackdown Women Amazing how hot the crowd was for the initial Nia/Tamina matchup as well as how quickly it cooled off once they started working together. The quick Becky elimination flattened things, but late in the match it now looks like the idea was to get her out of there without having to strongly put over Asuka. That Alicia/Naomi elimination sequence was awkward as hell. Sasha contributed a great slap to Natalya and a sick bump in the corner before tapping out. Not sure I agree with all the decisions along the way, but building to Asuka overcoming a former champion and the biggest girl on Smackdown's team was at least a strong way to put her over. **1/
FMKK
The fact that they had to push Tamina as a hoss emphasises to me the need for more larger women to act as credible monster types.
FMKK
Can they telegraph Raw's win any more obviously? Would you prefer for them to have jobbed Asuka? Sometimes the right thing and the obvious thing are the same.
hammerva
Yeah Smackdown is definitely winning the main event. Especially with Lesnar winning
C.S.
Can they telegraph Raw's win any more obviously? Would you prefer for them to have jobbed Asuka? Sometimes the right thing and the obvious thing are the same. I would have preferred a final that wasn't Asuka vs. Tamina, who has never been a credible threat. I also would've preferred Asuka getting attacked and taken out before the match, to make this less predictable and more interesting. But yes, Asuka winning is obviously the right finish if they had to keep her boring ass in the match. They're dedicated to this failed Asuka experiment and will continue shoving her down our throats. Strummer
Have to think SD is def. winning the men's match. Raw 2-0 so far and Brock is certainly going over
