KawadaSmile Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Hyped for this RAW. The set looks amazing, and nostalgia sometimes can be a good thing.
WingedEagle Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 I am very pumped for the show. A little concerned it may be one very long Old Timers Day / history package, but it should still be a blast and feature at least the one big angle that's been expected for a bit now.
Matt D Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 And it starts with Shane and Steph. That's as Raw as you get pretty much. You just need Hunter in there too.
sek69 Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Vince: still the best heel in wrestling.
Matt D Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 I just checked and Vince giving himself the award for the success of Wrestlemania I at MSG is not online anymore. What a tragedy.
Jmare007 Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Vince is still amazing as an on screen character
hammerva Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 And Austin still gets the biggest pop in the entire company THERE IS THE DOLPHIN SELL. I love when Shane sells a stunner like a dolphin coming out of the water Best part was Vince ribbing Shane by spilling beer all over while trying to sell the first stunner
WingedEagle Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 That opening was exactly what I was afraid of. And it was outstanding. Best part was Vince ribbing Shane by spilling beer all over while trying to sell the first stunner And this. Classic.
The Thread Killer Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Gotta love Vince being able to turn "Thank You Vince" chants into "Asshole" chants on a dime.
hammerva Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Man I hope they put a big screen at the Manhattan Center because it looks like most of the action will be at Brooklyn. Not sure why Teddy Long the Smackdown GM for years is on the show but oh well not like Brother Love was a regular on RAW either
sek69 Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 I love the commitment to nostalgia to the point they have an IcoPro banner at the Manhattan Center.
Jmare007 Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 I love the commitment to nostalgia to the point they have an IcoPro banner at the Manhattan Center. And
WingedEagle Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 I'm sure there's a car waiting to bring Taker to Brooklyn, but I thought he looked unusually old and came off like a complete nostalgia act before a pretty dead Manhattan Center crowd. Shouldn't have presented him without the literal smoke & mirrors of his entrance and total package.
hammerva Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Well cool to see Taker in the Manhattan Center but really felt like he was just trying to get his shit finished. He completely blew by the "one more match" chant
hammerva Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Yes let's show Bryan next to Miz so we can make you feel even worse that we are going to see his match be against Shane instead
Loss Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Miz's facial expressions toward Bryan there were MONEY.
Jmare007 Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Cole saying the IC belt has changed hands 51 times on RAW legit made me sad.
FMKK Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 If Bryan actually comes back and challenges Miz the pops are going to be out of this world
Jmare007 Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Make it 52 Good ass match, as expected.
FMKK Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Good match as always. Amazing how not over this Rumble title match is. Kane is a heat sink but I honestly think people are bored of Lesnar too and would just prefer Braun as champ
hammerva Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 So apparently the Manhattan Center is basically a 205 Live House show with very few RAW moments. MVP is definitely the most random what the hell is he doing here moment tonight Flair looking at Alexa like an 21 year old at a Baltimore Marriott with a Bob Barker facelift is creepy as fuck
Jmare007 Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 We are halfway in and the only thing worth a damn so far has been Vince and Roman vs Miz.
FMKK Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Its wild that WWE is booking a character thats entirely dependent on having knowledge of TNA to make any sense of
hammerva Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 And to further prove that this is a 205 Live house show we are getting Bray vs Woken Matt apparently the crowd completely destroyed the cruiserweight matches. Can't imagine the people who went there knew they were getting this.
Loss Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 They seem to think that just throwing a bunch of nostalgic acts in a backstage segment is surreal enough to carry the segment on its own. So haphazard.
