To be fair, what else are you going to ask Maria? What CM Punk's tongue feels like?

Na, his endowment.

I came away with the learning outcome that Mr. Brooks is of good size. Yep

On the topic of shoots avoid, avoid Jimmy Yangs. Nice guy but super boring it is like his ROH shoot without the jet lag this time.

One more thing a Bobby Heenan DVD was announced yesterday which is both interesting in many ways and very sad in others. Like I said on DVDR I wish that they did this 4/5 years ago, sadly.

I didn't think this was boring.I'm not interested in 2000 WWE stories, yet I thought it was really informative on how fucked up that company is and what it does to people. At 29, Yang is totally burned out on wrestling it seems. Tells a funny story about how Vince didn't even knew he was fired. And the way he got into WCW was pretty interesting too. And yeah, Yang comes off as the nicest guy you'd want to meet.

Not exactly Jim Cornette's, but not bad either.

Yeah. Especially when the only other woman who did it was Missy Hyatt.

Then again, Bix is right. Wrestling fans are embarrassing more often than not.

I wonder if Dixie got such questions in that Live Youshoot session... Would be curious to see that.

Oh, another thing about Jimmy Yang, he said that the very first time he met Benoit in WCW, he thought the guy looked kinda crazy. I know it's easy to say that after the fact, but I also think the guys of Benoit's generation that were his friends just aren't very objective in the way they depict him. I thought it was interesting to have the opinion of a guy that was just a 18 old kid meeting Benoit in 1999.

I don't really disagree, but I think some of the heat should go on the interviewer for going through and asking the question.

Well, I was including Sean Oliver in "wrestling fans." ;)

Sean Oliver is embarrassing more often than not. He's really squeezing vereything he can to get more "shoot interviews" out of the same people again and again. Fantasy booking, WWF timeline, youshoot (which basically means, smart marks asking stupid questions) and.... Missy Hyatt pajama party...

Not really has anyone had more than two titles devoted to them? Of those people has anyone been duplicitous in those shoots?

At least it makes a change from Feinstein's production line approach to shoot interviews.

He's just using gimmicks so he can get Raven, Cornette, HTM and such doing stuff for him despite the fact they already have done shoot interview(s) before.

Of course his production values are much better than RF, but that's a given, RF's product are godawful in term of presentation. I don't think he knows the word "editing". Embarrasing amateur like stuff.

A couple of highly amusing tidbits from the latest Observer newsletter:

Some more notes on Bryan Danielson. While the choking of Justin Roberts with the tie was the firing offense according to what Vince McMahon told Danielson when he fired him, it was noted by people in the company that the spitting on John Cena may have really been the reason. Vince hates spitting and that has been banned in WWE rings for a long time. He has this hatred for spitting, people smoking cigarettes and even sneezing as it’s noted that if someone near him sneezes, Vince will then cut a promo on them for it. It’s just something people put up with. Again, there is almost no way that Danielson spit on Cena without clearing it with him ahead of time.

Oh come on, Vince may be crazy, but he's not that crazy.

What we do know is that Hart will at the very least be out for the summer, and is getting married to Stephanie Washington, 27. He met Washington who was a big fan of his at an autograph session here in the San Francisco Bay Area (he used to come here and take her to Sharks games when they started dating a few years back).

Oh Bret, will you never learn...

Oh he is he thinks yawning is a signing of weakness both in himself and others.

Ive seen Bret's affect on women at close quarters twice, he isnt so much a desperate, dirty old man or even that he is famous (a la Flair) women just want to mother him.

Oh I buy that he hates spitting, but to the point that he would fire Bryan Danielson over it, that I don't buy.

I personally love the youshoots(except for Missy's) and the timelines. I think they are great concepts. The youshoot concept gets rid of the producers not knowing certain aspects of guys careers and gets the questions the people want to ask. The only parts I don't like are when they involve sex or when they include the people who are trolling.

Personally, I've listened to just about every shoot and podcast Cornette(Maybe HTM also) has done and it's still not old to me. The most interesting and/or the best people are going to get interviewed many times, there is just no way around it. But, if people are buying it, who cares how many times it's done.

I always suspected that spitting was looked down upon in the WWE/WWF. It's interesting to hear that. When Danielson spit on Cena, I knew he was going to get in trouble. Than when he chocked out Roberts I knew there would be a lot of trouble.

That's awesome that Vince hates people smoking cigarettes. If there's anything I hate in life, it's people who force others to inhale their ciggarette smoke.

The sneezing thing is amusing but worrisome.

Bret getting the women doesn't suprise me in the least. Makes perfect sense.

Yawning is a sign of weakness. It means you're tired which means you're not at your full functioning capacity. It doesn't mean you're a weak person but rather one that is weaker than what they could be.

Regarding Bret, it shouldn't be surprising he's marrying younger women when he has admitted in his book that having sex with lots of women was his vice. A guy like that is always going to be attracted to younger women.

At least in Bret's case, his divorces didn't end up that messy in the long run... he and Julie did reconcile after an ugly split and I understand his second divorce was amicable. Compare that to some other wrestlers, whose divorces started ugly and stayed that way.

That question is less embarrassing than later in the shoot when Oliver pulls out a bag with a picture of a giant penis on it and asks Maria which wrestlers belong in the "dick-bag."

I sort of chuckled at Maria doing the "back in my day" schtick. A 20-something year old woman, who got a job from the Diva Search is concerned that indy girls in FCW aren't properly paying their dues. God bless pro wres.

If you did the amount of coke Vince (allegedly) has, you'd never yawn either.

Any questions about his relationship with Tiamak of the Last Dragon fame?

Jimmy talks about it a little bit. He said he was kind of burnt out on wrestling after getting released from WWE. He decided to think of something he wanted to do in wrestling and had an idea to work with Tiamak so he emailed him and then they met and worked it out. The best part of the shoot is Jimmy talking about how he got hired in WCW, all of it stemming from he and his friend dressing up like wrestlers and going to DDP's house for Halloween and meeting DDP. Jimmy comes off like a nice guy, but it's easy to see from his shoot why he never really went too far in WWE. He just comes off as really kind of shy and quiet and not the type of guy that is going to get far in that locker room.
