kas Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 That image cannot be real. You cannot convince me that was the actual final image of the match. Quote

Did that get stealth cancelled? More bait-and-switch. (Not that anyone likes the feud, but at least a bar fight stip and setting has the potential to be fun.) Quote
cactus Posted July 20, 2020 Author Report Posted July 20, 2020 I didn't even notice the fake eye. Sasha vs Asuka is fun, but it's struggling to keep my attention after the insanity of that last match. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 Of course this match rocks. Sasha is back to her TOP 5 IN THE WORLD form Quote
MoS Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 Another excellent match with a terrible finish imo Quote
cactus Posted July 20, 2020 Author Report Posted July 20, 2020 Really good match, but man, that finish was crap. Quote
hammerva Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 Another really good to great with an awful finish. So basically if you wear the ref shirt you are always the ref Quote
Kadaveri Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 Asuka vs. Sasha was just getting into MOTYC territory for me then that ridiculous finish marred the whole thing. Why would you do that. Quote
C.S. Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 This is why I wasn't at all invested in Asuka vs. Sasha - good rasslin' or not - because WWE always ruins it with shit like this. Quote
hammerva Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 It is funny how last year at this time, Sasha and Bayley as a team was pretty much an after thought. Now they basically run the company. At least until Charlotte 14 belts wins the titles Quote
KawadaSmile Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 One of the finishes in the PPV had a man puking and an eye ripped out, and it wasn't the most disgusting finish of the night! Hey, this means Ziggler is getting squashed, right? Quote
cactus Posted July 20, 2020 Author Report Posted July 20, 2020 God, this eye shit is embarrassing. This has to be one of the best worst PPVs they've done in a long time. Mania was a success and MITB and Backlash were better than they had any right to be, but this is bad even by lockdown standards. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 The thing is: it's not bad because the matches sucked or anything, quite the opposite. They *booked* the matches to have bad and/or unsatisfying finishes. Quote

KawadaSmile Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 Look this needs to go the Ziggler/Goldberg route Quote
hammerva Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 So basically a one man Extreme Rules match. Quote
C.S. Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 It's not even 9 p.m. yet, so I'm expecting at least 30 minutes out of this. Edit: I forgot about The Swamp - didn't we all? - but I'm still expecting a longer match out of this. Quote

The main issues with their shows is the booking and presentation. This Ziggler/Mcintyre stipulation is dumb, but they're pulling it off reasonably well, for now at least... Quote
MoS Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 Finally a great match not ruined by the finish! Quote
Coffey Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 This show has been not good. The main take away that I have is that no one in WWE seemingly understands ring psychology even a fucking little bit. The wrestling has been eh but it's the finishes that have hurt the show a lot, really. Quote
