MoS Posted December 10, 2021 Report Posted December 10, 2021 Wouldn't it be funny if it turns out that HOOK is just dogshit Quote
El-P Posted December 10, 2021 Report Posted December 10, 2021 No. Beat him if you can. Survive if he lets you. Quote

El-P Posted December 10, 2021 Report Posted December 10, 2021 Seriously, he's a rookie. Any judgement passed on him at this point would be ridiculous. How many matches has he even worked yet ? Quote
MoS Posted December 11, 2021 Author Report Posted December 11, 2021 FTR and Lucha Bros don't always mesh, but they are meshing here Quote
MoS Posted December 11, 2021 Author Report Posted December 11, 2021 Tully takes an apron bump like a boss Quote
sek69 Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Fenix is just on another plane of existence than the rest of us. Quote
MoS Posted December 11, 2021 Author Report Posted December 11, 2021 That 6-woman tag was so much more fun than it had any right to be Quote
MoS Posted December 11, 2021 Author Report Posted December 11, 2021 Okay, in all seriousness, HOOK looked really good. He didn't have to sell or bump, nor should he have been, but he has his father's intensity and nastiness, but at the same time a good babyface look, what with his Vegeta hair. He is someone to watch out for, no doubt. Quote
sek69 Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 TK just sent out the ALL ELITE graphic for Hook already, real recognize real. Quote
sek69 Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Also between Hook and Jungle Boy, if AEW doesn't start producing those 80s style posters of them then they are just leaving piles of money on the table. Quote
PeteF3 Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Did Hook just win Rookie of the Year with 3 weeks to go? Quote
SirEdger Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 I don't know but seeing Hook pull off the entire Taz repertoire in one match got me excited. That kid's a stud. Quote
sek69 Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Fightful did a story on Hook and said everyone was raving about him in training, like he was the type who on his first day people were saying he already "got it". Quote
Palamedes Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 AAA: "We'd like to have that feelgood-moment at Triplemanía Regia for the mexican fans." Mr. Khan: "No, we'll do that on our B-show a few days later. Luchas lose at Triplemanía." AAA: "Can we at least have a pinfall-finish?" Mr. Khan: "No, you only get ladders. And the AEW-champs will pin the AAA-champs on Rampage." Quote
sek69 Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 AAA likes having their titles on US TV. It hasn't ever turned into any measurable business for them, but they see it as a win especially since the lawsuit that is keeping them from airing on US TV. Quote
Palamedes Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Then AAA should have given the Megacampeonato to Fish or Lethal instead of Vikingo. Quote
sek69 Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Vikingo won because they want to do the money match with Omega when he comes back. Quote
Palamedes Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Like Impact wanted the money match with Moose and got a taped loss at Daily's Place. Quote
sek69 Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Omega vs Vikingo was going to be the main event because Kenny requested it, he really wants the match to happen and there's no reason to believe it won't happen at the next big show after he returns AAA has been working with AEW since the start, and they've already had all the EVPs work big shows for them. This isn't a deal like TK working Impact because he wanted to do the belt collector gimmick for Kenny. Quote
kas Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 Hookamania is running wild brother Quote
Palamedes Posted December 11, 2021 Report Posted December 11, 2021 It seems Omega wanted that big Vikingo match not as much as the one with Adam Page. Quote

His body basically fell apart on him. He barely made it to the Page match since it got pushed back due to Hangman going on paternity leave. Dude has been working at an insane level since 2016, something was going to give eventually. Also yes, AEW is his bread and butter so that's going to be the promotion he puts priority on if push comes to shove. The idea that AAA is being played like Impact was just doesn't hold water. Quote
