Control21
Another fun entry that I really enjoyed reading. Looking forward to October 31st! Meanwhile, the Miss Kentucky storyline continues to be very entertaining and I enjoy the thought you put into that.
spaldoni
I have to give it to Bert, he's a true promoter. Wow, look who shows up, none other than RPG! Hahahahahaha, this is going to be gold. Knighton looks tuned up and ready for Michaels. Miss Kentucky and RPG side by side is quite the visual. Things get crazy and we have a big time match to look forward to next week. Great segment. Bert better start stocking the studio with Bert dogs. The show ends on a high note as Reno and Baxter take down those no good Cuban Assassins. Can't wait for Spooktacular!
kevinmcfl
Now I am even more hooked! Ronnie P is back!!! I think Music City won this week's battle with Memphis but only by a little. Ronnie P being the big tipping point! He makes it a great read while Dave Brown keeps the show from falling off the rails.

Gossett IV Danny Davis & Jerry Calhoun - Referees An enthusiastic Bert Prentice welcomes everyone to the broadcast of Music City Wrestling's 30 minutes of action but before getting to the action, we are one week closer ... he talks about the upcoming show at the Fairgrounds ... Tuesday, October 31st ... IT'S HALLOWEEN! Bert talks about the holiday extravaganza ... Halloween Costume Contest with a cash prize for the winner! Candy and treats for the kids! And on top of all the wrestling action ... let's not forget about "Bert's Dogs" ... Not $3! Not $2! $1.50 ... that's right folks, $1.50 a hot dog! Gossett complains about STILL not getting his Bert's Dogs. What kind of low budget production is being run here? Where is your craft service? You know, in Memphis, there is a craft table! Bert rolls his eyes before telling Ronnie that there was food for the crew but Ronnie didn't show up until ten minutes before going on air. Moving on, Bert talks about today's program. We have newcomer JT Southern debuting and in our main event, the tag team champs, Jamie Dundee and Tojo Yamamoto face off against Bruno and Moondog Morton. Thank goodness! Gossett says the show is saved by the title match he set up last week! About that, Bert says while they will be wrestling today ... it isn't for the titles. WHAT?!?! Ronnie Gossett can not believe the travesty in all this. He thinks the Assassin is correct about Bert being biased! Bert is NOT BIASED! When there are so many deserving tag teams here in Music City, Bruno and the Moondog are not deserving of the title shot. IF they win today, they can at least make a case for getting a shot at the Spooktacular. An agitated Miss Kentucky marches out to join our hosts. She wants to know what exactly is going on here? She was promised a title match and now it is being pulled? Gossett wants answers, too! Bert says we have a match today and if her team wins ... he PROMISES her team will get a shot at the tag team titles. That's the deal. Bert doesn't know how things are elsewhere but here in Music City Wrestling, her teams has to earn their shot at the champions. Both Miss Kentucky and Ronnie G. have a tantrum as Bert throws it to a commercial! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Bert with a run down of the weekly shows Music City will visit ... Bobby Blaze squares off against Don Bass! Can we just get onto the opening match? JT Southern versus Alan Reynolds. Referee Jerry Calhoun. Southern comes down to the ring to cheers and Bert picks out that the girls all seem to love JT. Gossett says they don't love Southern, they are screaming for him to get a haircut. Right out of the blocks, JT gets to work, showing his athleticism with his drop kicks. Reynolds is completely over matched before Southern puts him away with a ring shaking suplex to pick up his first win. After the match, JT joins Bert and Ronnie. He's happy to be here following his run in Memphis. Oh boy, Gossett says that Memphis' castaways come to Nashville. Can't Bert get some good wrestlers? Bert tells JT to ignore him because he does. JT says he knows all about people like Ronnie Gossett and ignores them. Bert thinks that is good advice. JT says he's happy to be here in Nashville, not only to wrestle for these great fans but he's got a long time buddy here ... Shawn Baxter. They go way back. Bert remarks about Shawn and Reno Riggins currently embroiled in action against the Cuban Assassin and Fidel Sierra. Gossett says that will be over shortly when the Cubans prove to be the superior team. Bert rolls his eyes as he sends it to a commercial break! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Bert with a run down of the weekly shows Music City will visit ... You will find us in Camden, Sparta, Lebanon, Springfield, Smyrna, Lafayette, Gallatin and of course, MCW IS COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU! x-x-x-x-x Local commercials x-x-x-x-x Bert once again does his best to sell the Spooktacular show at the end of the month with no help from Ronnie P. Gossett who goes on about Bruno and the Moondog getting their fair shot at the tag team champions. Non-Title Match. Jamie Dundee & Tojo Yamamoto (C) w/Dark Journey versus Bruno & Moondog Morton w/Miss Kentucky. Referee Danny Davis. It is a battle right from the start that sees both teams shine while Miss Kentucky helps her team last a little longer in the match, thanks to her timely intervention. Near pinfalls for both sides with Miss Kentucky aiding Bruno in getting his foot up on the ropes to break the count. Dark Journey has had enough and makes her way towards Miss Kentucky which draws in the referee also allowing Jamie to be double teamed. Gossett screams about favoritism in the match towards the champs which Bert poo-poos. The good guys have Bruno in all kinds of trouble but an apparent slow count from the ref has them fighting a battle on two sides. DJ arguing about the count and a frustrated Jamie ties up Danny Davis who doesn't see a chain slipped into the match by Miss Kentucky that is used to put Jamie down. The ref with a fast slap of the mat and the match is over ... Bruno and Moondog Morton have won the match! The victors vacate the ring quickly as Tojo and DJ enter to protest as the boobirds rain down from the fans. Bert can't believe it and Ronnie tells him he told Bert so. He better give Bruno and the Moondog a shot at those titles! Ronnie Gossett celebrates as Bert tells us our time is up and to come back next week for more wrestling action, right here on WCAY TV 30! Autistic Dragon
The card at the Spooktacular is already looking good. JT Southern seems like the kinda guy Prentice would like. kevinmcfl
Looking forward to Spooktacular! This is a little off topic but do you have any idea what the wrestlers might get paid in Music City compared to Dark Jpurney and Miss. Kentucky. spaldoni
I'll tell you what, Bert knows how to promote a show. He sold me on Spooktacular. Another thing I love about having Music City in our world is it gives opportunity to guys like JT Southern. This is a place where Southern can thrive. Thanks to a chain and a fast count, I think Miss Kentucky's team have earned a title shot. Fun show!
Control21
JT Southern seems like a good fit for Music City...fun fact...JT Southern actually wrestled in UWFi for a few matches as he was one of the guys from Tennessee recruited to UWFi by Shinji Sasazaki. Let's just say his time there wasn't memorable. Miss Kentucky continues to make her presence felt. I wonder if this is the start of her "Reign of Terror." LowBlowPodcast
I love the fact that Elizabeth is getting some shine and personality here. She was amazingly beautiful but I always thought she could have done a little more. When she did in WCW in the 96/97 run I really dug how versatile she was. I said it before - but after watching the Netflix Wrestler Series... I have a profound new enticement for your product. Keep doing work. LastStopTour
Voiceover: You are watching Music City Wrestling on WCAY-TV, Channel 30! It's The Assassin flanked by the Renesto Brothers. The Assassin talks yet again about the Renestos being overlooked for the tag team titles. Of course, Bert has had a long relationship with Jackie Fargo. Ronnie asks if he knows brother Don Fargo? Of course he does. Gossett asks if knows any of Don Fargo's wives? Bert says he's met a couple of them in the past which leads Gossett asking if he's heard any of the rumors and talk in the locker room. Gossett says many of those rumors are true and Ronnie P. Gossett IV is the love child of Don Fargo and Elmira Gossett. Now, Jackie Fargo has been an upstanding person Ronnie's whole life and when Ronnie called about getting him here to Nashville and Music City Wrestling, Uncle Jackie was more than happy to help ... NOW, CAN WE GET ON WITH IT AND BERT ANSWER WHY HE'S BEEN PROTECTING JAMIE DUNDEE AND TOJO YAMAMOTO AND IGNORING THE RENSTOS? Bert defends his decision for the Dundee/Yamamoto match against Bruno and the Moondog. Those two teams have been going at it tooth and nail all over the territory. Just last week, Gossett offered Miss Kentucky a title match for her team right here on television. He didn't offer it to the Renestos, did he? As far as The Assassin goes, he doesn't mention a thing about him facing Cody Michaels at Spooktacular ... Wait a second, here come Rocky King and Johnny Weiss and they are complaining about being the rightful challengers for the tag titles. Bert rolls his eyes as he listens to the Weiss' complaints. Again, Bert defends his decision for the match at Spooktacular but he believes in giving everyone their due shot and since they want their shot at the titles and the Renestos want their shot at the title ... about the two teams face each other at Spooktacular and the winner then come talk to him about their shot at the belts? Can we just get onto the opening match? The Ninjas versus Rocky King & Johnny Weiss. Referee Jerry Calhoun. Weiss and King mouth off about having this one in the bag and are booed by the fans. They then jump the Ninjas. The match goes well for them as they show some cohesiveness and double team moves before the Ninjas battle back in the match. The masked men are actually cheered by the fans. The match starts to get away from them as the Ninjas come on and nearly pin Weiss. Bert asks Gossett is he wants to give Weiss and King a shot at the titles? Ronnie calls it a momentary set back against the cheating Ninjas and blames the referee as being biased. Oh brother! King complains about his hair being pulled, despite not having any. Following an eye rake, he and Weiss isolate the Ninja and work him over. They both take several shortcuts that has Bert asking Gossett if he saw any of that. Of course, Ronnie did not. Double suplex and Weiss and King pick up the win. Obvious as to who the fans back with Blaze slapping hands and giving hugs. He offers to shake hands with Allen before the match starts but Dennis Allen slaps the hand away. Dennis Allen is able to work a side headlock and does some mouthing off before Blaze is able to get to shoot him off. Shoulder butt puts Allen down and a couple of elbow drops softens him up. Davis, slow to get down, slaps out a two count before Dennis Allen barely gets a shoulder up. Blaze with a few words for the referee who stands by his two count. Bobby Blaze gets back to work, getting the fans to cheer and chant for him which isn't liked by his opponent. Ronnie Gossett doesn't think Blaze will be having as much "fun" when he has to face Don Bass at the Spooktacular but Bert isn't so sure about that. While Blaze might be new to the game, he carries himself like a seasoned veteran. THE BLAZE BUSTER! It is all over with Danny Davis slapping out the three count. Autistic Dragon
The Renseto Brothers must've earned their title shot this time right? Though Riggins & Baxter impressed with a win over The Cubans. The Assassin also deserves a rematch with Michaels after Knighton sticks his nose where it doesn't belong. Though i'm curious as to how much longer Knighton means to keep getting involved since the champ doesn't seem in too much of a hurry to pay what he "owes". Gossett wants to know if Bert is going to speak on the travesty of justice that the Spooktacular was? Oh brother! Ronnie P. says of course Bert doessn't want to talk about the Renesto Brothers, the most feared tag team in these parts STILL haven't gotten a shot at the titles! And going one better, what about The Assassin? What about The Assassin ... Speaking of The Assassin ... HERE HE COMES! The masked man wants to know what kind of games Bert Prentice is playing here? He FINALLY gets a shot at Cody Michaels and the Title only to have his victory stolen away by this punk kid Brian Knighton! The Assassin thinks Michaels and Knighton are in cahoots ... adding fuel to the fire, Ronnie P. says that Bert's also involved! Bert denies being involved in anything of the kind. Gossett asks if that is true, then why haven't the Renestos gotten a shot yet? The Assassin waves that off as he isn't here to talk about The Renestos ... he's here looking for some revenge. Right here, next week The Assassin wants Brian Knighton in the ring for some payback. He doesn't care about the WHY Brian Knighton stuck his nose in Assassin business, what he is concerned about is laying some knuckles upside his head! After The Assassin leaves, Bert wants to discuss other business as the tag team division got a little bit stronger as The Nightmares are coming to Nashville! JT Southern promises that The Widlside will take care of the Cubans and send them packing! The two men high five and walk off together when Reno says he guesses so. Jamie Dundee w/Dark Journey & Tojo versus Moondog Morton w/Miss Kentucky & Bruno. Referee Danny Davis. Fast paced match between the two which sees Bruno and Miss Kentucky stick their noses in several times until DJ and Tojo do what they can to minimize the damage. Danny Davis has had enough and sends Bruno and Tojo to the back. Dundee gets Morton in trouble but Miss Kentucky puts her man's foot on the ropes to break up the pinfall. She even trips up Jamie which brings Dark Journey into the ring and is immediately cut off by Davis. Bert doesn't know about the handcuffs because there is no way Miss Kentucky would sign any match contracts and it would take the State Athletic Commission several days to get involved ... BUT what he can do is, TONIGHT! TONIGHT! TONIGHT!, he can sign a tag team title match against Bruno and Moondog Morton ... A LUMBERJACK MATCH!
