strobogo
Don't want to read the thread, haven't finished the show, but man this entire show from pre show to main show is so many feel good satisfying moments and returns/debuts
strobogo
Alright Ezio doing the voice over for Ospreay's entrance popped me huge
Jmare007
Danielson is absolutely fucking insane. Getting his bloody face get kicked in right in front of his 7 year old daughter and 4 year old son. Then SCREAMING at them "I love you" while getting his chest kicked in and firing up while Wembley started to come unglued. Bah fucking gawd. Swerve better get that fucking belt back at Tacoma but holy fucking shit am I happy we get to see the best cotdamn wrestling in the world for another month in AEW TV/PPV. strobogo
Absolutely delightful show, hard to think of such a good vibes show from start to finish including pre show, literally every match had some wonderful heartwarming moment, doubly satisfying if you were a fan in the 00s indie boom. TK is a real one.
Blehschmidt
It's amazing that Jeff Jarrett has gone from a guy who had Go Away heat from like 1999 to 2014 to getting deafening pops at 57 years old.
strobogo
Double J is the only guy that actually benefited from the Conrad network of podcasts on a likeability level, and also he's in perhaps the best shape of his career, very hoping we get a Hangman vs Double J Texas death match soon. Jmare007
This spot right here is an all timer. Bloodied up. Screaming "I love you" to his family while getting kicked. Then slapping the shit out of Swerve and Birdie getting all excited at her dad being a crazy old man

Are we at the point where we ask what Britt Baker has done other than bleed against Thunder Rosa? I've been at that point for years, baby.   Also, Bryan is GOATed as shit. Truly one of a kind.
MoS
Jack Perry shat the bed in hindsight. I still liked the match because Darby is Darby, one of the best workers in the world, but the match was good despite Perry laying an egg in the ring
Robert S
I loved "Buddy" Danielson hunting confetti - in the middle of the ring in front of 55k people.

The segment with ZSJ looked good though, but I tend to credit ZSJ for that.

Blehschmidt
Maybe I am biased for being a huge fan, but I thought Nigel looked pretty damn good for a guy whose last match was in December of 2011
Jmare007
I thought he did good as well. The only thing that didn't work was the head stand spot he likes to do in the corner. He tried it 3 times and every one felt clunky. But I think it was because the people he tried to do it with didn't understand what they were supposed to do so they just stood there and never put themselves in positions to get kicked. But I'm not betting on it happening in my lifetime.

That didn't make it any less of a moment or less fun, but my man was working on 0.5/0.75 speed.
sek69
To be fair I would also assume Nigel was probably nervous as shit that his first match in 12 years would be in front of 55k people, he jumped right in the deep end of the pool. He seemed to get better as things went on, and I would expect if this is the start of a mini run for him he'll be fine once he gets some reps in. That's what I meant. yes, the WoS spots looked like slow motion movement, 65-year-old Johnny Saint did that stuff way slicker. And yes, it might just have been a combination of ring rust and nerves, time will tell.
Tetsujin
Tbh choosing to do WOS sequences as your first thing to do after 13 years without wrestling and in front of +50K people in your home country is as bald as any choice could be.

If he never steps foot in a ring again this was still a memorable moment in a great match on an an all time show. Certainly scratched the itch for me in the best way possible.
