So the “IWC” seems to be abuzz today with the theory that Heyman is forming a new Dangerous Alliance, which some people speculate will include some call-ups from NXT. Supposedly the idea behind this concept is to help elevate some fresh talent into the main event picture. If it’s done correctly, I’m definitely there for it. That may be my nostalgia for the original Dangerous Alliance, but the bottom line is I’m a lot more excited about that idea than I am about seeing Cena vs Orton in 2025.

The original Dangerous Alliance is the greatest stable of all time. Yeah, I said it, and I meant it.

With that said, Heyman's reputation for elevating acts who aren't already primed and packaged main eventers is pretty nonexistent - Curtis Axel, anyone?

Sure, some of that was Vince fuckery and some of it was Axel having no character and being blander than Melba toast, but still.

So, it would depend on exactly who the NXT call-ups are.

How did this ancient j-brone, of all people, get coverage on Deadline: Hollywood?

Miro Barnyashev Returns To WWE In New Deal As He Makes Surprise Appearance At Monday Night Raw

https://deadline.com/2025/04/miro-barnyashev-wwe-deal-1236373427/

I know people here on PWO are excited for Rusev's return. And I was too. Until it happened.

He looked old, tired, and cooked out there.

I predict he'll be getting the Andrade treatment within a year. I hope I'm wrong, and I'd love to be wrong, because I think Rusev at his best has far more upside than Andrade and Black.

You have many “hot takes” when it comes to opinions on Pro Wrestling. Some I do not agree with. (L.A. Knight is “the shits” for example.) Some of your opinions make me question your mental health and think that perhaps your Internet privileges should be taken away. (Really, this just applies to your theory that Mauro Ranallo is a good announcer.)

However, some of your opinions are quite correct. For example, your feeling that Christian Cage is a much better worker than Edge, and could be an all-time great. Strongly agree. I also would not disagree with you in your analysis of the original Dangerous Alliance. I think they would be much more favourably remembered if they had lasted longer, but based on talent alone, it’s hard to argue against them.

:lol::lol::lol:

L.A. Knight has grown on me a bit. He and AJ Styles had AJ's best WrestleMania match last year - another "hot take" probably - and while I'll probably never completely fall head-over-heels in love with his matches and overall ACT, he's a hard worker who has gotten over everywhere he's ever been. I can respect that, YEAH!!!

Not as much as I respect Mauro's talent as the best commentator of our generation though. MAMMA MIA!

Karrion Kross is another one who is growing on me right now. You have to respect the sheer work he's putting in. He's constantly turning chicken shit into chicken salad, so to speak. His "shoot" interview from the other day is outstanding stuff.

The talent in that one group was staggering. Literally no weak links. Not even The Horsemen can claim that.

Mojo Rawley. Believe it or not, his new talent agency seems to be doing a great job of not only negotiating deals for his clients, but getting their name out there in the press.

Damn, if only Mojo had these skills to pump up his own career when he needed to. But good on him for finding a successful second act for himself and helping others along the way. I always liked him. Was he going to put on five star bangers? No. But I thought he was a fun character.

I liked his team with Cardona, “The Hype Bros” I thought they were a lot of fun. It’s a shame they didn’t stay together, but apparently Cardona did not want to.

There was a WWE documentary, Breaking Ground, where a 29-year-old Cardona acted like an old man and seemed put off by having to team with a rookie kid from NXT. It was unintentionally hilarious.

Cardona has always struck me as one of those guys who grossly overestimates his own value to the Pro Wrestling business. Full marks to the guy for getting his YouTube show so popular without any help from the company, but realistically, I don’t think he was ever meant to be more than a midcarder at best. It’s too bad he wasn’t satisfied with being 1/2 of a fairly popular tag team.

The thing about that whole Joe Henry "controversy" (like there was one, he was made to look like a geek, end of story) that people seem to overlook, is that he's pretty much already a WWE guy. He was on NXT this week again, he has WWE merchandise. In a matter of a few months, he's gone from TNA, just like Jordynne Grace was. Whatever views that gets TNA (and thats very debatable, the entire TNA thing is muddled at best since apparently no PPV has done a better number than Hard to Kill 2024) the end game is to introduce Joe Hendry as part of the WWE in a not so long ago future. The irony is that if he already was contracted with WWE, he would never have gotten that treatment at Mania.

It's like a double edge sword : they want to push TNA as a way to weaponize it against AEW, they want to push Hendry already as he's getting there in no time, but at the same time they can't help it but make their partners look like third rate geeks (which they are, they essentially are a feeder system for NXT now in the grand scheme of things).

(whatever happens with TNA the days they don't have Hendry nor the Hardies anymore, hard to tell. I don't see WWE creaming over Mike Santana nor Steve Maclin, and the women division is all about Tessa Blanchard, which is a whole other discussion and she definitely is aiming at WWE too)

They're targeting anyone with talent in TNA. But a 37 years old ex NXT guy Maclin doesn't have the same luster as viral sensation Joe Hendry or top talent Jordynne Grace. I'm not watching TNA anymore but I'm interested in how they'll evolve (see what I did there) in the next year or so. Them being bought out eventually would be the least surprising thing ever. WWE is already controlling their world champion.

When 205 Live started, who would have predicted Akira Tosawa and Noam Dar as being the last two men standing?

I’m glad for Tozawa that he has had a long, and I assume profitable career from his time in WWE, but I feel bad that he has been reduced to a comedy act. Honestly, I think Otis and Maxine Dupree are probably right where they should be in their careers, but Tozawa could have been more, if not for the language barrier and his size.

I’ve never liked Dar from the get-go.

If we get a new Dangerous Alliance, lets hope we get a War Games match with them (DA vs Sting's Squadron is generally considered the best War Games match, and while I dont know if a WWE version could be better, it might be just as entertaining).

Forget what I said, apparently Survivor Series is in Petco Park this year, which is an open air stadium, so I guess they wont be able to do War Games, at least not at Survivor Series.

Didn’t JCP used to do War Games in baseball parks all the time, on the Great American Bash tours?

Am I missing a reason why War Games can't be held in an open air stadium?
