NintendoLogic Posted April 24 Report Posted April 24 If you can do Hell in a Cell in a stadium, you can do WarGames in a stadium. Quote
The Thread Killer Posted April 26 Report Posted April 26 That TLC match on Smackdown was pretty nuts. That was better than half the matches on Wrestlemania. Quote
strobogo Posted April 26 Report Posted April 26 Shit I'd hope a TLC was better than most of WM because all but 3 matches across 2 nights of WM were dogshit Quote
KawadaSmile Posted April 27 Report Posted April 27 Tez using a fan's prostetic leg as a weapon is an all time pro wrestling moment. Great match! Quote
The Thread Killer Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 Ugh that episode of Raw was mind-numbingly awful. I know there’s usually a lull after Wrestlemania but…damn. There is such a thing as too much Seth Rollins and that was WAY too much Seth Rollins. He’s like the Moxley of WWE. The Shield curse lives, I guess. That was total crap. Quote
Timbo Slice Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 They’re running a very similar angle to the Death Riders too with this whole “This is bigger than us” thing. Quote
JRH Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 What was with all of the lights in the audience during the Zayn/Breaker match? Quote
sek69 Posted April 29 Author Report Posted April 29 Say what you will about Pat, that was one hell of a promo he cut on Gunther. He's another one who just *gets* wrestling. Quote
sek69 Posted April 29 Author Report Posted April 29 Honestly, Cena's last run needs to have one more dance with Orton for old time's sake. Those two defined an era, this is like a Sting vs Flair on the last Nitro kind of match. The two that kicked it off deserve to run it back one last time. Quote

Except it's an era no one in their right mind would want to revisit. Nostalgia is one hell of a drug. https://www.facebook.com/100064422293265/videos/too-many-cooks-cena-orton-matches/141821953155758/ (sorry, haven't found it on Youtube) So, still no Jeff Cobb, uh ? Yeah, he really did not have the time to put Goto over nor drop the title. Pattern. Pat McAfee, Logan Paul in big matches.... No further comment. Quote

I feel this is almost inside-the-bubble thinking to be honest. Would anyone on PWO be psyched to revisit it? Probably not, but there's a lot of folks out there who would. Plus John Cena is one of their biggest stars of all time, and if he wants to play the greatest hits in his last run I don't begrudge the guy. Especially since his Hollywood schedule would make this as much of a legit retirement as you can get in pro wrestling. Quote
strobogo Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 Of course you gotta run Orton/Cena on Cena's farewell tour. Gonna be dogshit, tho. Quote
El-P Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 It was dogshit in their prime too. The epitome of corporate WWE dull-as-dirt, light-as-fuck style. In 2025 with old & roided up Orton and completely washed Cena, it sounds like complete junk. Saw that Rusev promo too. Hilarious. Basically the Reedemer without any intensity. Effort on all front : zero. Quote
strobogo Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 They had like 20 matches on TV and PPV, surely one of them had to be decent Quote
NintendoLogic Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 Their Summerslam 2007 match is legitimately great. Quote
JRH Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 I think Orton along with CM Punk is the last of Cena's major rivals to still be active to be honest. A Cena/Orton/Punk 3 way wouldnt be bad actually (has that combo happened yet?). Quote
The Thread Killer Posted April 30 Report Posted April 30 Reportedly SmackDown will finally be going back to 2 hours as of June 6. Quote
sek69 Posted May 7 Author Report Posted May 7 Giggling at them censoring the NXT crowd saying "Elias" before he said his new TNA name. Also popped for Elijah, Pittsburgh wrestling 4 life. Quote
El-P Posted May 7 Report Posted May 7 People previously cut by WWE being back heating up WWE TV while under TNA contracts is hilariously pathetic. 😂 Quote
JRH Posted May 7 Report Posted May 7 I think I'm coming around more to Hank and Tank. Didnt really care for them when they first came up, but they've been getting more entertainng and are actually solid workers. Quote

I basically thought they were just a poor man’s Public Enemy or Nasty Boys type team, but they’ve grown on me a bit. I quite liked that match they had with Fraxiom at Stand and Deliver on Wrestlemania weekend. Speaking of Fraxiom, did anybody else catch Nathan Frazer basically landing on Elton Prince’s face when he hit the Shooting Star Press last Friday on SmackDown? Ouch. Dude was busted up. Quote

The Thread Killer Posted May 10 Report Posted May 10 WWE can’t seem to have consecutive good TV shows lately. Last week’s episode of Raw was brutally bad, but then they bounced back this week with a good episode, capped off by a surprisingly decent Jey Uso/Seth Rollins match. And that Paul Heyman promo to start off the show this week was an all timer, in my opinion. But the momentum has already fizzled out, and this week‘s episode of SmackDown is pretty much a death march so far. Which wasn’t helped by a 10+ minute Nia Jax/Jade Cargill match. There was no scenario in which that match was ever going to be any good. Quote
Stiva Posted May 13 Report Posted May 13 The promo hype for AAA Triplemania, which sees WWE and TNA involvement, mentions that the three promotions will compete for BRAGGING RIGHTS. WWE is in charge alright Quote
El-P Posted May 13 Report Posted May 13 Enjoy the tradition of lucha libre with Joe Hendry and the Hardy Boys. I wonder if the audience is also supposed to learn English so they can chant "We believe" at Hendry, which is about the only thing about his matches (think "yeeet" and "yeah", only with one more word).
