Lashley has a million dollar body, moves well for a guy his size, works fairly well for a guy his size, but..... has all the charisma of a coconut.

Also this "We Hurt People" repeated over and over is one of the dumbest sounding chants of all time.

Lastly, fuck MVP for that verbal exchange with Big Bill. The minute Bill turns and destroys Jericho, AEW has a huge (literally) babyface on their hands. This dude has improved his body, his work, has a great real life redemption story to tell. They should be protecting his ass at all costs.

Yes, yes and yes.

Lashley & Shelton both make Tim Horner look like Dusty Rhodes. They are also 50.

The theme song is absolutely a crutch to make them seem more over than they actually are.

The tag-team scene has never been deader. Even Private Party was much better, because they actually had these two awesome matches with the Young Bucks leading to their title win. Get the title off these two fossils, get MVP up with the program and feed Lashley to Swerve in a 10 minutes match. That's the last time I'm gonna repeat it Coach TK !

You want an AEW-cred "Hurt Syndicate" with actual great workers (and one guy who can talk his ass off too) ? Shane Taylor Promotion is right there.

Mercedes and Athena is another banger on the horizon.

Fuck yes. I LOVE seeing Athena & Billie on AEW TV finally. Considering both Athena & Mercedes are entering the Owen, I could see them in the finals. Then Mercedes vs Timeless Toni at All In (it makes the most sense to have their biggest match possible at their biggest show). Athena needs a big match there too.

The long-term booking has been really good lately, apart from a few spots (you know which ones). Love the fact a bunch of big names declare themselves for the tournament, making it important from the get-go, then they announce the brackets, then the tournament begins after Dynasty, leading to Double or Nothing, leading to All In. Booking more like NJPW is a good thing (overall).

Loving the Cole/Garcia series. Loving the FTR angle. Toni Storm is doing an awesome job with Megan Bayne.

Also, Great thing AEW actually signed Kevin Knight. Rumors about WWE having interest in him in the wakes of him being done with NJPW had me fear AEW had not learned its lessons by putting a freelancer on TV without securing a contract (remember Dragon Lee ?). Jay White surely made him shine.

Your attempted Christian erasure won't be tolerated here, sir.

I'll never understand what people see in Malakai/Aleister Black.

Okay, I do understand - I see the same thing - but something is missing.

Kind of the way I felt about Bam Bam Bigelow too, but Bam Bam was a hundred times the worker and attraction Black is.

Corrected* for you.

*not that you're wrong about Lashley either. When PWO was going nuts for him years ago, booking dream matches between him and Brock Lesnar, I was genuinely baffled why everyone here had their hands down their pants for this guy.

Black does not have the "oh well we gotta push that guy" look and aura of Lashley come on lmao. He never did, still doesn't, and he also hasn't been pushed like that outside of his NXT run. From call up to main roster to entire AEW run, I'm hard pressed to remember much of anything he's done and it's probably less "we don't know what to do with him but we gotta do something" and more "doesn't work for me, brother" stuff.

I would fuse The Hurt Syndicate with Shane Taylor Promotions to create The Hurt Promotions or something like that, à la Corporate Ministry but with better wrestlers and a great manager to lead them all. You could even use the stable to push Taylor as a new upcard big guy with Lashley passing him the torch or something like that.

Loving the Dynasty build up thus far. Adam Cole is not the guy I want Daniel García wasting most of his title reign with, but Danny has been carrying himself as a true star throughout their entire rivalry and it's been a pleasure to see it. Hopefully he retains at the PPV and Kyle Fletcher challenges him.

I would be invested in Swerve regaining the title, but they already showed us they're waiting for Darby so, it is what it is. At least get the Tríos titles off of the Death Riders and let FTR and Edge have some fun in the midcard for a while. For a company that likes to put everyone into a stable, it's very funny how they don't use the Tríos Championships as something to fight for for said stables.

Agreed. I know they are building it up to make it look like Dax is turning on Cash, but apparently those guys agreed when they decided to team up that they would never split up.

I suppose it’s possible they have changed their minds, but I imagine it’s more probable that Dax is going to turn on Copeland and it will look like Wheeler is going to support Copeland, only to have him stick with Dax. Which makes sense because simultaneously it certainly looks like Christian might be on the verge of a betrayal and face turn of his own.

This is definitely the way. Copeland is gonna get it from FTR. Nick Wayne is gonna "kill his father". I hope they won't make the reunion too awkward. I also hope they won't make it a full-fledge nostalgia run a-la Hardies, because I for one don't want to be reminded of WWE of 25 years ago. One match with FTR. One match with the Young Bucks. Retirement at 52 on a high note. They can (they should) make it a big event in Canada.

I think 2016 TNA was Lashley's peak and he showed his best charisma during his title runs and feuds with EC3, Eddie Edwards, etc.

With the Owen Cup deciding the All In challenger and all the top names wanting in, I'm not seeing Darby as the guy winning to beat Moxley anymore. I'd think it'd be more Ospreay or Hangman.

Coming off the last PPV, this one does feel like a B-PPV on the ways to both majors shows coming up. Having Swerve win the title again is the one thing that gives it its importance (if it does happen). The mixed-match and the closing angle were really excellent. The big one though is the stuff with Hangman (who really is and had been the main character of AEW overall). Hangman vs Swerve again at All In for the title with Hangman winning and shaking ends with Swerve would be something else. Then again, that would be Swerve losing twice in a row at All In, but it can also be a new twist in his personal arc.

Jay White injured again at this time sucks, and it throws off the Owen a bit. Kevin Knight sure gets one hell of a jumpstart from it though.

I’m often wrong but I have a feeling they’re going to go with Double or Nothing as the collapse of the Death Riders. Moxley survives tonight but loses in a month and The Opps take the Trios titles. Maybe they do Willow over Marina for good measure. I’m assuming Hangman will be in that mix because it does feel like they’re going with Hangman/Swerve over the World Title. I think it would be a month too far to stay with Moxley since it hasn’t been working since about December but it wouldn’t surprise me if Moxley wins tonight but the show ends with Hangman and Swerve cleaning house as unlikely allies

I'm all in for Bucks/Okada vs Swerve/Kenny/X (Hanger probably) in the lead up to Kenny/Okada 4

PAC appears to blow his achillies for the 3rd time. I'm sure it has nothing to do with DG water and carrying 80 pounds more than his frame is built for for 13 years.

The Omega promo was painful. That guy is fun to watch in the ring, but Yikes, not a talker.

and what the fuck was that Jericho thing? It accomplished nothing other than making Bill and Keith look like total losers. That should have been the moment the two of them kicked the shit out of him, especially if he is actually taking time off. Him throwing a temper tantrum while they stood there and watched? That did nothing for anyone. What a horrible segment.

I totally called Elite Deathriders. I wish I didn’t but it was pretty obvious that was way the way it was going.

As for the rest of the show. Just meh. Nothing important happen and just a show that was there. The 8 man tag for 400,000 dollars was just random. It was a solid match but just seemed they booked to kill time.

2025 and using the phrase dookie all over the floor is something for sure. We all know Kenny is the worst on the microphone but at least he tries I guess.

The Omega & Bucks promo spot was absolutely fine.

Not only Mike Bailey is a great wrestler, but he's a super interesting person as well (which you know if you've ever heard him on Twitch).

It was definitely a bit surprising just how unremarkable she seemed after winning the world title. Power of a great angle, I guess -makes wrestlers feel far better than they are.

TK better sign Swerve, Hangman, Ospreay and Toni to like, 5-year deals. They are going to carry AEW for many years.

I think Swerve is signed until 2027 or something. But yeah.

Of course, if you're a talent, there's no way you sign for 5 years. That's not your interest.

Also, Harley Cameron is probably next as she wanted to go to WWE initially I believe. Some of the long term booking decisions sure get a bit more trickier.

On the other hand, WWE's roster is becoming ridiculously bloated, not to mention them trying to dry up the indies with their WWEID shit. There's just so many spot on the main roster, and that's where you make your money. It will end up fueling frustrations at one point.

Two other guys I absolutely expect to jump (which may explain why they aren't around at all and haven't been for a while) are the Gunns. I mean, they literally dress like Shawn Michaels circa 93 ans Austin does the Road Dog shitty dance routine spot.

If I'm Coach TK, I have to devise very precisely how I sign people and who I build considering what time I got on their contract.
