  1. I really wanted to see this show, especially to see how LA Knight held up under the pressure of working a Main Event of a major PLE. Unfortunately stupid real life interfered with my being able to catch this. It was a forgone conclusion that Knight was not going to win and be the one to dethrone Roman. I’m not even sure I think he should have. But this was certainly the biggest match of his career. How did he look? Did he look out of place or did he work well within the WWE “big match” structure? I don’t doubt that the higher ups were using this match as a testing ground for him to determine where his push goes from here.
  2. I don’t know if it’s because there aren’t many people there or what, but this KC crowd for Collision are DEAD. Mind you, they haven’t been given much to cheer about. Feels like this Acclaimed segment is never going to end.
  3. I’m trying to watch this show but Booker T on commentary makes it very, very difficult. I will say…The Creed Brothers are awesome. They have more potential as a team than any team I’ve seen in a very long time.
  4. I would have a lot to say, if not for the fact that in typical fashion TSN+ crapped out and lost the signal about five minutes in…and was out for a good portion of the match. I got to see most of the finish. I still can’t believe they gave away that match with three days notice on free TV. It makes no sense to me. You literally could’ve had that exact match as the main event at Wembley not two months ago, and it would not have seemed out of place. If you are hell-bent on giving away a match like that for free, why not hype it up for a month or so at the very least?
  5. Danielson is injured again?! Broken orbital bone this time, supposedly. That dude has luck comparable to Adam Cole.
  6. Yeah, he’s got a real “skin problem” and I can’t imagine why. On an unrelated note, he looks to be in great shape.
  7. Man a couple of spots in this Shida/Soho match have looked…rough.
  8. I guess Ric’s Legend’s deal is up.
  9. I strongly question that decision. That match should be the Main Event of a PPV, not being given away on free TV with a 3 day build. Hell, I would way rather see MJF/Omega as the Main Event of Full Gear over Jay White getting the shot. The only good thing about the short build for Kenny getting the shot on Saturday is that we won’t be subjected to more riveting promos like the one he cut tonight.
  10. Here’s another question…what will Tony Khan’s gift to Sting be? Knowing TK, I assume it’s a tournament, or maybe a championship belt.
  11. I don’t disagree. I have actually heard him interviewed on a couple of different podcasts. He was on Rene Paquette’s podcast and that AEW podcast hosted by Aubrey Edwards and Tony Schiavone. Turns out Morrissey has a pretty interesting history. He had (has) some pretty serious mental health problems and like a lot of people in that situation, he was self medicating with alcohol and as we all saw, he really hit rock bottom. It’s a credit to him how hard he has worked to improve himself in all aspects of his life. It makes it hard not to cheer for him as a human being, if nothing else.
  12. She and Big Bill Morrissey are engaged to be married, so I would hope they stay in AEW together, for their sake. That’s not really relevant to Pro Wrestling and it’s none of my damn business, of course.
  13. Man, these Battle of the Belts “specials” are consistently the drizzling shits.
  14. I’m there for a House of Black vs. BCC angle. Whoa, Haley J gets rejected by WWE after flunking her medical and TK grabs her up? Or maybe he’s just using her as enhancement talent, I guess…based on that match. LOL at Nigel’s Robocop joke.
  15. Not surprising at all, but this Andrade vs Danielson match is pretty damn good.
  16. All that HGH he did years ago didn’t help him much in the looks department, either. Nothing like a grossly distended cranium to make the ladies swoon. Just ask Barry Bonds or Robbie Lawler.
  17. They lost to the lol Browns.
  18. Tyrus being gone was an essential move to improve the NWA. Investing in more high tech TV production equipment is a smart decision. Going back to the original concept of the NWA and bringing various Indy promotions under the NWA umbrella is an excellent idea. And an actual TV deal? That’s pretty huge. Unfortunately, all of those factors are pretty much negated by the fact that despite changes and improvements, Billy Corgan is still in charge, and the man is clearly a massive dumbass.
  19. Like him or not, you can’t deny that after his very public falling out with Billy Corgan, Nick Aldis managed to land quite squarely on his feet.
  20. “Yeet?” ”I don’t like that.”
  21. YES! LA Knight vs. The Tribal Chief! YEAH!
  22. Yeah, today has not been a particularly good look for him. He has reverted to his DVDVR shit-poster gimmick. You would think a guy with five different jobs would have more important things to do with his time than troll WWE. Plus, you know people in WWE are noticing how he is reacting, and now they are just going to bait him all the more.
  23. Dude, speaking as somebody who has been posting here at NMB/PWO for 18 years…please just take the damn L and move on, already. Nothing good can possibly come out of continuing this conversation.
  24. To me, I never expected AEW to win in the ratings last night. You can’t expect a TV show to switch nights once, and for the entire audience to follow them. I would bet there was a pretty large chunk of casual fans who either forgot, or didn’t even know that Dynamite was on Tuesday not Wednesday this week. Sometimes I think Tony Khan assumes his entire audience is perpetually online and hanging on his every Tweet.
