WWE Survivor Series - War Games - 11/24 - What Do You See?
The Thread Killer replied to Timbo Slice's topic in WWE
I am curious to see what kind of reaction Punk gets from a non-Chicago WWE crowd. Remember AEW fans were none too fond of Cody during his final AEW days, but WWE fans received him like the conquering hero when he returned, and they seem to still love him now. So I too am curious to see what kind of reaction Punk gets. -

Just give Swerve and Nana all the belts, please. -

Gotta be honest…I already assumed Ospray was under contract with AEW since he’d appeared there already a bunch of times. I can also tell I’m going to get real sick of hearing the word “Bruv” really quickly. But good on AEW and him, I guess. -

I know this is Pro Wrestling and we’re not meant to take any of this seriously or look for anything resembling logic…but let me get this straight… Adam Cole is allowed to retain his ROH Tag Team Title, even though he suffered a long-term injury, and is not capable of defending the title. Meanwhile, Jay White steals the AEW World Title from MJF (without legally beating him for it) and then has his stablemates injure MJF so badly that he won’t be able to defend it. (The title MJF doesn’t have physical possession of.) Tony Khan’s solution to this problem is to have Tony Schiavone announce that they are just going to award the official championship to Jay White. Because apparently now in AEW all you have to do is steal the belt and then injure the reigning champion so badly they can’t defend it…and you can become champion! But no…Adam Cole (who isn’t allowed to defend his Tag Title but he’s allowed to keep it) IS allowed to defend the AEW World Title (that he didn’t win and does not possess) against the guy who did not win it, but stole it. The only possible conclusion you can reach, is that Vince Russo is writing this shit. -

Did I hear Eddie Kingston correctly? The winner of the Continental Classic becomes the new AEW Continental Champion? Tony Khan is introducing ANOTHER title? -
I assume Vince is close friends with Gerard Depardieu. They probably belong to some of the same organizations, like the Jeffrey Epstein Gold Card VIP club, or something.

It doesn’t matter what year it is. Never mind Toni Storm, it’s the original Nutty Professor who is truly TIMELESS.

I’m looking forward to the Jerry Lewis Memorial Battle Royal.

It’s too soon to be any of the recent WWE releases, correct?

This Bayley segment is grim death. The fans could not give less of a shit.

LOL when Hangman attacked Swerve as revenge for invading his home…there were noticeable and audible boos for Page. He’s just not a sympathetic character. Mostly thanks to shitty booking. Plus, people just want to cheer Swerve…and Nana is helping with that. The dance is over, Bubbas. -

Hopefully they can draw more fans than the Oakland A’s did this past season. Whenever I watched a game from Oakland, it looked like the pandemic was still in full swing. Either that, or TK can threaten to move AEW to Vegas. -
Finally got around to checking this out tonight. Having been a fan for the past 40 years, I am well familiar with the sight of Vladimir ringside at Madison Square Garden. This was a nice look into his fandom. I found it equal parts sad, moving, and somewhat exploitive. At 37 minutes, it’s not hard to watch and it’s definitely worth checking out. By all accounts, he is a legitimately nice guy who just loves Pro Wrestling and especially WWE. I have read from different people online that they have run into him at shows, and he is the nicest guy, he just wants to enjoy himself. It’s hard to begrudge him that. I’m not going to deny that I got a little misty eyed during a couple of points during this documentary.

I really wanted to see this show, especially to see how LA Knight held up under the pressure of working a Main Event of a major PLE. Unfortunately stupid real life interfered with my being able to catch this. It was a forgone conclusion that Knight was not going to win and be the one to dethrone Roman. I’m not even sure I think he should have. But this was certainly the biggest match of his career. How did he look? Did he look out of place or did he work well within the WWE “big match” structure? I don’t doubt that the higher ups were using this match as a testing ground for him to determine where his push goes from here.

I don’t know if it’s because there aren’t many people there or what, but this KC crowd for Collision are DEAD. Mind you, they haven’t been given much to cheer about. Feels like this Acclaimed segment is never going to end.

I’m trying to watch this show but Booker T on commentary makes it very, very difficult. I will say…The Creed Brothers are awesome. They have more potential as a team than any team I’ve seen in a very long time. -

I would have a lot to say, if not for the fact that in typical fashion TSN+ crapped out and lost the signal about five minutes in…and was out for a good portion of the match. I got to see most of the finish. I still can’t believe they gave away that match with three days notice on free TV. It makes no sense to me. You literally could’ve had that exact match as the main event at Wembley not two months ago, and it would not have seemed out of place. If you are hell-bent on giving away a match like that for free, why not hype it up for a month or so at the very least? -

Danielson is injured again?! Broken orbital bone this time, supposedly. That dude has luck comparable to Adam Cole. -

Yeah, he’s got a real “skin problem” and I can’t imagine why. On an unrelated note, he looks to be in great shape. -

Man a couple of spots in this Shida/Soho match have looked…rough.
