  1. That Omega/Jericho vs. Bill/Starks segment was painful to watch. Maybe AEW needs writers after all. Yikes.
  2. And by wrestling hell, he means you must participate in a debate between hardcore AEW fans and hardcore WWE fans, on Twitter, regarding the merits of CM Punk, for all eternity.
  3. Cornette’s issue wasn’t that Marella didn’t sell The Boogeyman, it’s that he laughed when Boogeyman got in his face…on camera.
  4. My PVR automatically records any AEW content that comes out. Check out the graphic that popped up for tonight’s episode of Rampage, featuring a couple of AEW’s top stars!
  5. I still can’t get over the fact that they are running a ROH PPV, but thanks to Tony Khan’s brilliant booking, there isn’t going to be a World Title match or a Tag Team Title match. Hell, I don’t even know if Gates of Agony will be back from Japan in time for there to be a 6 Man Title match. But there will be an Ethan Page vs. Tony Nese “I Quit” match…so at least there’s that.
  6. When the tickets go on sale, let us know how much they are. I am curious if AEW learned their lesson from the last tour and is either going to lower prices or do something about secondary brokers buying up all the seats. Plus in theory, Quebec City is a “smaller market” than Toronto so the prices might be lower. What venue are they running, what’s the seating capacity and have you ever seen live wrestling there before?
  7. I have to admit, I am kind of shocked that AEW is doing another Canadian tour this spring, considering how the last one was pretty much a disaster. Apparently the talent had no end of travel problems during the last one and on top of that the ticket sales were shit (due in no small part to the ridiculous ticket prices.) Plus, Tony was booking arenas which were way too big. At least this time he’s smartened up a bit and is running the Coca-Cola Colosseum in Toronto, which is the appropriate sized venue for AEW, as it seats maximum around 6000 for wrestling. Running Scotiabank Arena right before a pay-per-view, and then running Hamilton right after was a really stupid decision last time. Now I guess we’ll see if the tickets are $325 again.
  8. Yeah I think this is probably just because of the movie and because Dynamite is in Dallas. I don’t see the Von Erich brothers in AEW, but who knows. Anything is possible, I guess. Lord knows the AEW Tag Division could use some fresh blood.
  9. Yes, their contracts expired and they did not re-sign. They are apparently a little bit difficult to deal with, and are very reluctant to do jobs. They supposedly have a pronounced independent streak which is why WWE has never had much interest. If you believe the rumours.
  10. Kevin Von Erich returns to Dallas next week with his sons Ross and Marshall. Interesting.
  11. It is, but if Swerve doesn’t go over…I swear. It’s his time. Everyone can see it, I just hope Tony Khan can. I’m terrified of a Moxley/Danielson final. Been there, done that. Do we really need another bleeding competition? Give us Swerve as the AEW “Triple Crown” Champion, dammit.
  12. Two of the things I have noticed (and really enjoyed) since Triple H took over creative is the continuity, and actual logic behind some of the angles. Drew actually remembers stuff that was done to him months ago, instead of acting like it never happened. And then he (quite reasonably) isn’t just willing to forget it and let it go.
  13. If they insist on continuing to use him, it should be in ROH. That way it’s guaranteed nobody will actually see it.
  14. You’re just jealous because his gold chain game is so strong now. I pity the fool who don’t love them suits and chest medallions.
  15. Precisely. I don’t know if Tony Khan even really is upset with Flair, but if he is I have zero fucking sympathy. All that would prove is that Khan actually thought he could control Flair (ha!) or he’s a total idiot and didn’t think Flair would do what he’s literally been doing his entire career. And while we’re at it, Flair’s boo-hooing on Social Media is equally unsympathetic.
  16. It was not without it’s charm, but I preferred Briscoe/Rush.
  17. I admittedly never saw late era WCCW. Once David, Mike, and Lance (lol) were gone, Brody was murdered and Kerry got sidelined with that foot injury, I stopped going to the trouble to track down the tapes…they were not easy to come by in Canada and it wasn’t worth the effort. But the idea that anything could be more depressing than the dying days of the AWA is mind boggling to me.
  18. Oh man, now I’m really upset I canceled my Honor Club subscription. I absolutely HAVE to see that match, that just has PPV written all over it!
  19. Ugh, this whole masked Devil angle is dragging on forever, it’s lame as hell, and seems bound to end in disappointment (especially if it’s Jungle Boy.)
  20. And so he should. The man clearly has one foot in the poorhouse and is on the verge of insolvency.
  21. “I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to make money.” Pretty much says it all. I have no problem with that.
  22. Yeah, this is the first time I have sat down to watch an entire episode of Raw in ages. Partially because of Punk and partially because the Bears are playing on MNF. But I had really been enjoying it…more than I thought I would. And then Nia Jax appeared.
  23. I can’t believe they finally figured out how to properly use Nakamura after all this time. It’s probably no coincidence that it’s happening when Vince has no more input on creative. My only criticism is that they need to stop booking him in placeholder angles with guys he’s obviously going to lose to. They need to give this guy a couple big wins if they want people to finally take him seriously.
  24. This is basically QT getting squeezed out by Jimmy Jacobs. Which is a shame, because it means no more QTV and that’s just a national tragedy.
