  1. Kevin Von Erich returns to Dallas next week with his sons Ross and Marshall. Interesting.
  2. It is, but if Swerve doesn’t go over…I swear. It’s his time. Everyone can see it, I just hope Tony Khan can. I’m terrified of a Moxley/Danielson final. Been there, done that. Do we really need another bleeding competition? Give us Swerve as the AEW “Triple Crown” Champion, dammit.
  3. Two of the things I have noticed (and really enjoyed) since Triple H took over creative is the continuity, and actual logic behind some of the angles. Drew actually remembers stuff that was done to him months ago, instead of acting like it never happened. And then he (quite reasonably) isn’t just willing to forget it and let it go.
  4. If they insist on continuing to use him, it should be in ROH. That way it’s guaranteed nobody will actually see it.
  5. You’re just jealous because his gold chain game is so strong now. I pity the fool who don’t love them suits and chest medallions.
  6. Precisely. I don’t know if Tony Khan even really is upset with Flair, but if he is I have zero fucking sympathy. All that would prove is that Khan actually thought he could control Flair (ha!) or he’s a total idiot and didn’t think Flair would do what he’s literally been doing his entire career. And while we’re at it, Flair’s boo-hooing on Social Media is equally unsympathetic.
  7. It was not without it’s charm, but I preferred Briscoe/Rush.
  8. I admittedly never saw late era WCCW. Once David, Mike, and Lance (lol) were gone, Brody was murdered and Kerry got sidelined with that foot injury, I stopped going to the trouble to track down the tapes…they were not easy to come by in Canada and it wasn’t worth the effort. But the idea that anything could be more depressing than the dying days of the AWA is mind boggling to me.
  9. Oh man, now I’m really upset I canceled my Honor Club subscription. I absolutely HAVE to see that match, that just has PPV written all over it!
  10. Ugh, this whole masked Devil angle is dragging on forever, it’s lame as hell, and seems bound to end in disappointment (especially if it’s Jungle Boy.)
  11. And so he should. The man clearly has one foot in the poorhouse and is on the verge of insolvency.
  12. “I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to make money.” Pretty much says it all. I have no problem with that.
  13. Yeah, this is the first time I have sat down to watch an entire episode of Raw in ages. Partially because of Punk and partially because the Bears are playing on MNF. But I had really been enjoying it…more than I thought I would. And then Nia Jax appeared.
  14. I can’t believe they finally figured out how to properly use Nakamura after all this time. It’s probably no coincidence that it’s happening when Vince has no more input on creative. My only criticism is that they need to stop booking him in placeholder angles with guys he’s obviously going to lose to. They need to give this guy a couple big wins if they want people to finally take him seriously.
  15. This is basically QT getting squeezed out by Jimmy Jacobs. Which is a shame, because it means no more QTV and that’s just a national tragedy.
  16. They really are, and they’re young and green. Imagine when they get a couple more years under their belts. I know it’s a cliche but they really are blue chip, generational talents. Amazing potential.
  17. What the hell? Imperium aren’t wearing matching tights either! It’s an epidemic!
  18. I cannot support DIY as a team if they refuse to wear matching ring gear. The Creed Brothers have massive potential. I already like them more than the Jackson Brothers.
  19. I am curious to see what kind of reaction Punk gets from a non-Chicago WWE crowd. Remember AEW fans were none too fond of Cody during his final AEW days, but WWE fans received him like the conquering hero when he returned, and they seem to still love him now. So I too am curious to see what kind of reaction Punk gets.
  20. Just give Swerve and Nana all the belts, please.
  21. Gotta be honest…I already assumed Ospray was under contract with AEW since he’d appeared there already a bunch of times. I can also tell I’m going to get real sick of hearing the word “Bruv” really quickly. But good on AEW and him, I guess.
  22. I know this is Pro Wrestling and we’re not meant to take any of this seriously or look for anything resembling logic…but let me get this straight… Adam Cole is allowed to retain his ROH Tag Team Title, even though he suffered a long-term injury, and is not capable of defending the title. Meanwhile, Jay White steals the AEW World Title from MJF (without legally beating him for it) and then has his stablemates injure MJF so badly that he won’t be able to defend it. (The title MJF doesn’t have physical possession of.) Tony Khan’s solution to this problem is to have Tony Schiavone announce that they are just going to award the official championship to Jay White. Because apparently now in AEW all you have to do is steal the belt and then injure the reigning champion so badly they can’t defend it…and you can become champion! But no…Adam Cole (who isn’t allowed to defend his Tag Title but he’s allowed to keep it) IS allowed to defend the AEW World Title (that he didn’t win and does not possess) against the guy who did not win it, but stole it. The only possible conclusion you can reach, is that Vince Russo is writing this shit.
  23. Did I hear Eddie Kingston correctly? The winner of the Continental Classic becomes the new AEW Continental Champion? Tony Khan is introducing ANOTHER title?
