  1. After really liking the Guerreros tag from this morning, I watched the Bandolero death match with The Guerreros vs. DiBiase & Dr Death. This was a fun match with a really hot crowd. I liked the opening stuff with The Guerreros really taking it to DiBiase & Dr Death who couldn't get out of the blocks for the first few minutes. Some of the pole climbing stuff got a bit tedious but the finish was still really awesome and I'll be watching the Cage match between these two teams next.s shoe rated this one as 2* and I don't do star ratings but I would say I probably enjoyed it more than he did.
  2. Hector & Chavo Guerrero via the DVDVR Mid-South 80s set. Been watching their stuff from NWAClassics.com and they deserve consideration. shoe also reviewed some of their matches in the NWAClassics thread.
  3. This is likely for the best. Joe Blanchard's eyes were bugging out of his head when he was looking at the costs of airfare to fly half the roster to the Northeast.
  4. I'm not sure why anyone would rush to the WWF's aid seeing as they are the one already burning bridges while Southwest has been very gracious in all requests for it's talents. We also don't put a bunch of silly restrictions on how to use our talent outside of the Southwest area seeing as it won't get back to the fans in Texas anyway.

    Dean Ambrose's selling

Just that one second he's down and the next he's up, and there's no in-between. That sounds like Dolph Ziggler to me.
  7. Blacklisted from what exactly? The NWA he is not a part of?
  8. It's not the most well organized way to find results but you'll find things there you'll most likely not find anywhere else: http://sportsandwrestling.mywowbb.com/category1/
  9. Just watched Hector & Chavo Guerrero vs. Al Madril & Jose Lothario and it was way better than I thought it would be. I think I liked this better than any other tag match I've seen so far on NWA Classics. Part of that could be that I came in with low expectations due to the babyface side but they more than held up their end of the bargain. The finish was a little abrupt and disappointing though. Hopefully we get some more from this feud.
  10. Yeah, the Attitude Era apologists loved this talking point. Wasn't it unfortunately also parroted by Meltzer? We know that WWE promos are all scripted ahead of time and that the guys have to sit there and wait for the other guy to finish before it's their turn to talk, so I was always confused by the idea of anyone getting destroyed unless they were scripted to get destroyed. Unless people meant he was getting destroyed in terms of delivery or emotion or whatever. Rock has always scripted his own promos, so I don't think Creative was writing his promos for him this time around. Pretty sure he wrote them himself. THe content fell absolutely flat. And I had a problem with the delivery as well. There seemed no charisma in his delivery. He wasn't Randy Orton, exactly, but he sure as hell wasn't the lively charismatic Rock. This is why anytime I talk about that run I say it was Dwayne Johnson playing The Rock. I think he had to spend so much time learning to tone it down when becoming an actor that he just wasn't able to find his way back to that really over the top ultra charismatic delivery from 98-2002.
  11. I never saw The Rock during that run. I saw Dwayne Johnson playing the role of The Rock.
  12. Just imagine the people of Boston, Detroit & Buffalo getting to see a stacked card of Greg Valentine, Rick Martel, Ivan Koloff, Wahoo McDaniel, Jesse Ventura, Rocky Johnson, Killer Khan, Tully Blanchard, David Von Erich, Jim Duggan, Mr. Saito, The Fabulous Ones, Eddie Gilbert....they might forget all about the WWF.
  13. Noooo it didn't happen that way! WWE MADE The Rock cut weak promos in order to make John Cena look better.
  14. I suspect he was probably working for Dale Mann. Wikipedia says that's who trained him and that he eventually bought Mann's promotion from him in 1995.

Geez Cesaro don't make it any more obvious you're trying to help Kevin Owens with the pop up powerbomb. At least he had a cool plancha.
  16. KrisZ where is Eric Embry's Fabulous Blondes partner Dan Greer/Fargo at?

Bray Wyatt is the worst act in WWE. And I'm still counting Macho Mandow in that.

I hope El Torito is at least being paid well because he's one of the most under utilized talents on the roster.
  19. I was considering running Houston since it was open but the fans in Houston were used to loaded cards which is not something I can give them. So I really have no problems with it.

I like Rusev and Summer, I just think Lana is super awkward as a face. No real argument from me there. Part of it is that she's just not very good at the accent. Also she needs to make a total break from the heel Lana character and change her style. Letting her hair down was a start but it's not enough.

Hate on me or the segment all you want but I found that to be perfectly enjoyable pro wrestling. Second week in a row a Rusev segment has been the highlight of Raw for me.

Rusev is so great right now. "Based off his skinny legs and the fact that he's neutered let's call him Dolph Ziggler"
  23. I would be interested in running joint shows with MLW in Boston, Detroit & Buffalo.
  24. LOL I highly doubt that would even make a top 10 list of why people look down at wrestling and ridicule it.

The cesspit of wrestling message boards, wrestlingforum, can't stop circle jerking every time Cena gets a bad reaction but they sure did ignore how popular Cena was with the crowd tonight.
