I can't believe the Divas argument is still happening. We might as well post every week about how they need to be called wrestlers instead of Superstars.
-
What is "a main event"? There's only one match that goes on last. And there ain't no way they go on after Cena/Rolllins or Brock/Taker.
-
Swagger has looked depressed enough on his recent TV appearances that I could totally buy him being brainwashed into joining the Wyatt Family.

The Wade Smeltzer Flaming Spectator Newsletter Issue #2
goc replied to goodhelmet's topic in The Archives
I didn't read this all at once the first time, looking through the parts I skimmed and the "The announcers had a hard time pronouncing their first names and started calling the team names like Shish-kebob and Mudslinger on television." line made me laugh out loud. Also laughed at the somewhat bitter line of "Stuff like smiling can prevent you from being an NWA champion even if you are one of the best wrestlers in the world." Rick Martel being called "a second-rate French-Canadian Tito Santana" was pretty harsh. -
There is definitely a "concussion stigma" with certain guys in the NFL now though. Look at a guy like Wes Welker who still wants to play but no one really wants to touch him due to his concussion history. He's passed his tests too but if you google Wes Welker you'll get a bunch of "Wes Welker should retire" hits. This reads very much like with a few tweaks this story could be about Bryan. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2015/07/24/champ-bailey-wants-wes-welker-to-retire-because-of-concussions/

How is it that I get complained about to KrisZ yet it's all good to come in here and call me out, personally insult me and call my shows shit with 0 provocation?
-
We had a deal for the Fabs set in place and THEN you PM'ed me saying you were working with ICW so it wouldn't make sense so you were pulling the Fabs. That was the end of that conversation. That is true, not revisionist history. I'm an asshole to you because I think your a crybaby. I'm not talking about commenting on others shows. I'm talking about making fun of people's picks, and just in general commenting on things like you have a fucking clue. Just run your shit shows and stop being some prick critic/elitist know-it-all You're also the dude who cried and threatened to quit because you messed up your dates for the NWA champion so go fuck yourself.

I was actually disappointed that it WASN'T Masao Ito but I haven't watched the match yet. I also want to throw out for the "Mascaras never jobbed" crowd this story of Mil Mascaras losing a stretcher tag match in Memphis and being stretchered out after the match. http://kentuckyfriedwrestling.com/theword2/simply-fabulous-wwe-hall-of-famer-jerry-lawler-shares-his-memories-of-memphis-wrestling-legend-jackie-fargo/

Slater is a guy I just don't "get." I really didn't even care for his stuff in Mid-South against Butch Reed or Jake.
-
Just make a reply here with the list of dates and then Grimmas or goodhelmet can edit it into the OP.
-
I don't know what I expected El Bracero to be but it wasn't THAT. Too bad I didn't see that match about 2 months ago before the fantasy draft.
-
Yea the draft is supposed to snake so we need LowBlowPodcast & KrisZ to pass or pick first before we decide.
-
If you didn't already decide where to send him, I'd also like to get a shot at him. I'd like to get him involved in the Eddy Mansfield/Roy Lee Welch feud that started on the last show.
-
Mid-South still has a pick in the Vancouver/Portland merger draft if you want any of the 3 guys left. Also, assuming you don't change you TV taping dates from Wednesdays you have Mike Jackson from me for every TV taping for use as a jobber.
-
Doggendorf might be tough but he isn't very smart trying to slam Haystacks. I don't know where you're going with the David Sammartino thing but I'm intrigued. Tapu having the tennis racket broken over his head and hanging around his neck would have been an awesome visual.
-
Glad to see Scott Casey made it to Mid-Atlantic ok. Hopefully he's stopped spitting up blood by now.
-
Matt D is not in the picture as an alternate.
-
Since I apparently post in too many threads if you DON'T want me posting in your promotion thread please feel free to say so.
-
You don't deal with me at all because I told you that you couldn't use The Fabs because you're continually an asshole to me when I never said shit to you or about you. Nice revisionist history though like you didn't bug me for dates on The Fabs before I told YOU I was going to work with ICW instead of you. I'm also sorry it bugs you that I try and leave feedback on other people's shows. I'll be sure not to even open your thread again if it bugs you so much that I told you that you were doing a great job with Memphis.
-
Thanks for reading that long ass Texas Death match guys I'm a little worried about how I'm going to top that the next time I need to run a Texas Death Match.
-
Yea I'm with dawho5 on this one. And I can say that if I was doing freelancers in July 1983 instead of July 1984 then Hansen & Brody wouldn't have done any jobs this month (well at least in North America)
-
How is this not EXACTLY what you are talking about? I'm sorry if you're reading this with "I hate goc" glasses on or something but all I've said is that he should send the new booker a list of the dates already worked out so he knows what's up.
-
I never said that they are off by default! How is it NOT unfair for the guy in Mid-South to not even be told what his existing deals are? How is he supposed to know who he has and when?
-
Ridiculous that you are going to throw such a fit at the mere suggestion that you send him the last of dates you already have worked out just to confirm. How is he supposed to know who he is on what dates if you don't?
-
How is he supposed to look at his dates? You're the one who has them.
