Bayfront Center St. Petersburg, Florida Sunday November 14th, 1986 Bell Time: 4:00pm Singles Contest "Beach Boy" Allen West beat Pat Rose with a Belly to Belly Suplex Tag Team Contest South Pacific Islanders (Cocoa Samoa/Sivi Afi) vs The Cartel (Fidel Sierra/Ricky Santana) This was hot from the start and much more of a brawl than a wrestling match. When "El Jefe" Jose Estrada showed his face at ringside, the intensity went up a notch. He managed to trip Sivi Afi when the referee wasn't looking, and that brought "Chief" Joe Lightfoot running from the dressing room to attack "El Jefe" and soon all six men were brawling and the referee tossed the whole thing out. It was a wild scene as security and officials had to clear out ringside. Singles Contest Sabu w/Skandor Akbar & The Sheik defeated "Jumping" Joe Savoldi after a Top Rope Legdrop followed by the Camel Clutch No Count Out, No Disqualification Tag Team Contest "Maniac" Matt Borne/"Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer vs The Spoiler/Texas Red If the fans thought the earlier brawl was wild, they hadn't seen anything yet! This lasted about two minutes in the ring before all four men were brawling with each other, mostly on the floor. Chairs were involved, the time keepers table was involved again, heads were being smashed into ringposts, bodies were being whipped into guard rails, just utter chaos. Both Matt Borne and Texas Red were bleeding pretty heavily by the end of the match, and Buzz Sawyer was actually staggering around ringside with a trash can on his head courtesy of The Spoiler. However, it was Matt Borne who was able to score the victory. As Texas Red had mounted the turnbuckle and was punching away at his forehead, Borne mustered up the strength to raise both fists into the groin of Red who immediately lost his purchase on the ropes and fell backwards. Borne quickly cradled him and placed both of his feet on the second rope, and with that kind of leverage, Red was unable to kick out. A pissed off Spoiler was quickly in the ring, but Borne rolled out and staggered bloody and smiling up the aisle. -Intermission- Best 2 out of 3 Falls Tag Team Contest The Glamour Boys (Steve Doll/Steve Simpson) vs The Highwaymen (Bobby Duncum/Phil Hickerson) Fall #1: Bobby Duncum pinned Steve Simpson with a handful of tights just a few minutes into the match. Fall #2: Steve Doll caught Phil Hickerson with a sunset flip on a backdrop attempt and pinned him. Fall #3: The bad blood boiled over in the third fall as The Highwaymen cut the ring in half and worked over Steve Doll in their corner, making frequent tags and choking him with the tag rope. Finally Steve Simpson had enough and charged across the ring and began firing haymakers at both Duncum and Hickerson, and when the referee tried to stop him, he caught one as well! Even as the bell was called for and The Glamour Boys were disqualified, the brawl continued up the aisle and behind the curtain. Florida Tag Team Championship Match Good & Plenty (Ray Candy/Skip Young) defeated The Fabulous Blondes (Rip Rogers/Chick Donovan) by Count Out when Young got back into the ring at 19, and Rogers failed to beat the count. A drawing was held to determine the teams for The Battle at the Bay. Battle at the Bay 8 Man Tag Team Match Hercules Hernandez, Tom Zenk, Bob Backlund, and "Luscious" Lanny Poffo vs "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Kazaharu, "Hollywood" John Tatum, and "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal This was chaos from pretty much the opening bell as Duggan jumped Hercules making them the legal men. No one wanted to work together other than maybe Backlund and Zenk, so tags were done with a lot of back slaps and hard smacks. The whole thing finally fell apart when Regal tried to tag Kazaharu who hit him with a throat thrust! Tatum reached in and tagged the stunned Regal, making himself the legal man. Regal then attacked Kazaharu and they brawled to the floor. Duggan said the hell with it and charged across the ring to get another shot off at Hercules, and during the chaos Zenk rolled up Tatum for a surprise One, Two, Three! 4 Way Elimination Match for the Florida Heavyweight Title Hercules Hernandez vs Bob Backlund vs Tom Zenk vs "Luscious" Lanny Poffo Highlights of the early part of this contest were Backlund and Zenk having a technical exchange that ended with Backlund getting the best of him, but saw both men shake hands afterward. Hercules and Poffo ending up in the ring together and Hercules having absolutely no idea what to do when Poffo started skipping around the ring after being muscled to the ground on a lock up, so Hercules just walked over and tagged out to Zenk wanting no part of it. Poffo and Zenk putting on a nice exchange of duck downs, leap frogs, and both going for dropkicks at the same time and missing. Zenk went for a handshake, but Poffo slapped him in the face! The first elimination came after Backlund and Poffo had been wrestling for several minutes and Poffo tried to lock Backlund in the Painacle, but Backlund reversed it and locked Poffo in the Cross Face Chicken Wing! Both men were close to the ropes, and as Poffo struggled to escape, they tumbled between the ropes to the floor. Poffo got to his feet and looked to be heading back into the ring when Backlund came up off the floor looking a bit angry and clamped the Chicken Wing back on! He paid no attention to the count of the referee and soon both Backlund and Poffo were counted out of the match. Once that happened, Bob looked different and was apologetic to the referee and actually apologized to several fans on his way out of the arena. This left Zenk and Hercules, and Hernandez was all over his smaller and more worn out opponent as soon as they hit the ring. Zenk showed a few signs of hope, but Hercules eventually hoisted him up in the Torture Backbreaker and Zenk was forced to give it up or risk permanent injury. Winner and NNNEEEEWWWWW Florida Heavyweight Champion..... Hercules Hernandez!!!!

Let's head down to ringside, with the voice of Professional Wrestling... Mr. Gordon Solie Gordon Solie: Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentleman and welcome to Championship Wrestling from Florida. I am Gordon Solie and we have a very exciting hour of professional wrestling on tap for you here today. In action will be "Hollywood" John Tatum with his manager Dark Journey. In tag team competition we will see the South Pacific Islanders. There will be a six man bout featuring this Cartel that we saw arrive last week, and as I mentioned at the end of that show last week, former World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion Bob Backlund will be on our program today. Backlund has certainly proven to be a polarizing figure in the professional wrestling business these last several years, and it will be interesting to see just which version of Mr. Backlund we are graced with here in Championship Wrestling. Now, let's head to the ring for our opening contest featuring the devilish duo of Matt Borne and Buzz Sawyer. =========================================================================================================== Match #1 -"Maniac" Matt Borne/"Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer beat Bucky Blevins/Howie Dewitt when Borne pinned Blevins after a Top Rope Sitting Senton.- =========================================================================================================== Gordon Solie: I am joined by the winners Matt Borne and Buzz Sawyer. Gentleman, last week a challenge was laid out for our event tomorrow night in St. Petersburg by The Spoiler and Texas Red. They have challenged the two of you to meet them in a match with No Count Outs and No Disqualifications. May I have your thoughts and your answer to that challenge? Buzz Sawyer: DO WE ACCEPT THAT CHALLENGE? DO WE ACCEPT THAT CHALLENGE! OF COURSE WE ACCEPT THAT CHALLENGE!! You don't become the baddest, meanest, men in professional wrestling by backing down! They want us with no rules? It's their funeral Solie! Matt Borne: Spoiler... Red... they call me a maniac, and they call him mad. But you two just willingly asked to fight us with no rules and regulations to stop us from doing whatever we'd like to you. ....Ha..Ha Ha....and they call us crazy? Borne walks away shaking his head and laughing like that thought is just too much to handle. Sawyer looks like he is ready to fight immediately as he follows Borne to the back. Solie gives an "oh my" look as the show heads to commercial. -Commercial Break- As we return from break we see that Gordon has been joined by Cocoa Samoa and Sivi Afi, both wearing traditional colorful Polynesian lavalava wrapped around their waists, and a kukui nut necklace around their necks. They both look quite serious as Gordon begins.. Gordon Solie: Before they head into action, I am being joined by Cocoa Samoa and Sivi Afi, The South Pacific Islanders. Gentleman, I understand that you have something you'd like to say and a challenge you'd like to make. Please, go ahead. Cocoa Samoa: Gordan, Thank You Bruddah. I don't want to bore these people, but I have to tell a little bit of history. Just about a year ago, I was wrestling down in Texas, and I ran up against this Cartel. They did awful things to my friends, they were a constant thorn in my side, and me and this Jefe Estrada had several violent matches. Then they cheated me in a match where the loser had to leave Texas, and Cocoa Samoa has been looking for a little payback. Sivi Afi: That's where the challenge comes in Gordon. We don't have a match tomorrow night, and I don't think any of those Cartel boys do either. So we are challenging any two of them to meet the South Pacific Islanders in a tag team match tomorrow night in St. Petersburg! =========================================================================================================== Match #2 -South Pacific Islanders (Cocoa Samoa/Sivi Afi) beat Jack Spade/JT Hart when Afi pinned Spade after a Diving Crossbody.- =========================================================================================================== Gordon Solie: The South Pacific Islanders pick up the win and it sounds like they have some unfinished business with The Cartel. John Tatum: Solie, I know you are probably three sheets to the wind and feeling a little randy right now, but how about you interview me instead of hitting on her! Gordon Solie: I was just making an introduction... John Tatum: I know, I know, calm down Johnnie Walker, I just want to talk about my win and how great I am! Gordon Solie: By all means... John Tatum: Well Thank You Gordon Solie! I thought you'd never ask! I worked very hard in there tonight to beat whoever that guy was, and now I can go on to tomorrow night at the Beachfront Center in St. Petersville and win the Florida Heavyweight Title whether you or any of this idiots that keep boo'ing me like it or not! The boo'ing that had been nearly constant since Tatum started talking only grows louder. John Tatum: Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! Keep it up! The boo's grow even louder and Tatum's face twists into a pout. John Tatum: I don't care if you like me! None of you are invited to my celebration party anyway! Tatum walks away and heads toward the back, but when he gets about half way there, he looks like something dawned on him and heads back. John Tatum: You're not invited either Gordon, but that's because even with a champions wages I wouldn't be able to cover your tab! Tatum leaves this time with a huge smirk on his face as Solie rolls his eyes and Dark Journey gives Gordon another "Sorry" smile. -Commercial Break- Gordon Solie: Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome my guests at this time, the Florida Tag Team Champions, Ray Candy and Skip Young, Good and Plenty!! New Edition's "Candy Girl" hits and the Tampa Sportatorium goes wild. People are out of their seats clapping and dancing as The Candy Man and Sweet Brown Sugar come from the back with big smiles on their faces and the Florida Tag Team Titles over their shoulders. They come to stand next to Gordon who is also grinning. Gordon Solie: Gentleman, first let me say Congratulations! Congratulations on winning the tournament and becoming the Florida Tag Team Champions. Ray Candy: Thank You so much Gordon. Skip Young: Yeah. Thank You Gordon. It wasn't easy, but we did it! Gordon Solie: I'd like to discuss your tournament right now if you may. In the first round you defeated Los Cubanos in dominant fashion. Then in the second round you defeated The Fabulous Blondes in a much tougher match up. Then in the finals you met The Highwaymen who very nearly cheated you out of those championship belts. The timely arrival of The Glamour Boys turned the momentum back in your favor, and you came out on top. But there are detractors who say that without the interference of The Glamour Boys you would have never won those titles. Your thoughts gentleman? Skip Young: Gordon, we were getting the best of those Highwaymen and then when the referee went down and they brought those steel chairs in the ring, they laid us out. The people saying that we wouldn't have won them belts without The Glamour Boys, that's probably true. Them Highwaymen was beating us silly with them chairs and our friends The Glamour Boys came down and saved our butts. When they did, they might have got themselves a little bit of revenge for when them Highwaymen cheated them earlier in the night. Am I ashamed of how we won these titles? No, I'm not. Sometimes bad things happen to bad people, and The Highwaymen got what was coming to them that night. Ray Candy: and right here, right now Gordon, let me tell you something. If The Highwaymen feel they got treated some kind of way, we ain't hard to find. You boys just come knockin' on our door, and we'll be happy to put these belts up and step into the ring with you again. We already feel like we owe you one for that whippin' you put on us with those chairs. But The Glamour Boys asked us real nice to leave you to them, and we are happy to do that...for now. Gordon Solie: Alright folks, there you have it... Ray Candy: Wait a minute now Gordon! You got us talking all serious and thought we was gonna forget! Gordon Solie: Forget what? Ray Candy: I done told you that when we won these belts, we was gonna teach you to do the cabbage patch! Gordon Solie: I uhhh.. I'm not so sure... Skip Young: Oh Come On Gordon! It's real easy to do! Just put your hands together like this..... Young shows Gordon how to hold his hands. Young and Candy then both begin to do the cabbage patch as Gordon watches with a look of bemusement on his face. The crowd begins to chant "Gordon, Gordon" and after a few moments of this Gordon reluctantly puts his hands together. He draws his arms back and.... "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top hits as Rip Rogers and Chick Donovan, The Fabulous Blondes come storming onto the stage as massive boo's erupt from the crowd. Rip Rogers: Enough of this crap! Nobody wants to see this old man dance! Isn't that right Chick Magnet! Chick Donovan: That's right Big Ripper! Besides, you two are out here whining about how The Highwaymen tried to cheat you out of the Florida Tag Team Titles, when you never should have been in that match in the first place! Gordon Solie: What exactly are you talking about? Chick Donovan: It wasn't these two goofs who got cheated out of the titles, it was the Fabulous Blondes! Gordon Solie: How do you figure? Rip Rogers: If you go back and watch the footage of that match, after me and Chick Daddy here worked over Ray Candy's big, fat leg until he could barely walk, I tired to put him in the figure four leglock. When I did that he kicked me so hard that I sailed over the top rope and out of the ring! Gordon Solie: .... Rip Rogers: .... Ray Candy: .... Chick Donovan: .... Skip Young: .... Gordon Solie: ....and? Rip Rogers: and that is a Disqualification!! The Fabulous Blondes should have moved on to the finals! Gordon Solie: Being thrown over the top rope is only a disqualification if it was intentional. Rip Rogers: I appreciate your support Gordon. Gordon Solie: No, I am saying that he was attempting to extricate himself from the hold, and your going over the top rope was purely accidental. Chick Donovan: Gordon Solie, you can use all the big words you want, but we all know that Fat and Skinny are dirty cheaters, and those are rightfully The Fabulous Blondes titles! Gordon Solie: I don't believe... Skip Young: It's okay Gordon, I got this. If you two idiots want a match with us, we'll be happy to beat you... again! We can do it right now! Before we get to our featured bout here today, it's time to discuss what we have in store tomorrow afternoon in St. Petersburg. As I told you last week we will be crowning a new Florida Heavyweight Champion and it will happen in something they are calling The Battle at the Bay. I now have all of the details of what that entails. There will be eight wrestlers participating in The Battle at the Bay. First they will be randomly divided into two teams of four where they will compete in an eight man tag team match. This could lead to some strange bedfellows as enemies could and likely will end up on the same team. But if they want a shot at becoming the Florida Heavyweight Champion, they will have to work together. Then whichever four wrestlers come out the victors in that eight man contest will immediately become part of a four corners elimination match. What that means is that two of them will be in the ring, and the other two will be on the apron as in a tag team match. Anyone can tag anyone, and eliminations occur by pinfall, submission, disqualification, and count out. Whoever the last surviving wrestler is in that contest will become the new Florida Heavyweight Champion. Let's look at the wrestlers involved, and the rest of the card.. No comments on the Bobby Fish/Jungle Boy match? I thought the match was fantastic. Easily the most I have enjoyed Bobby Fish ever, and I thought it really added another impressive, high quality, hard hitting encounter to JB's growing resume.

I just noticed discrepancies in the number of days held and days recognized. After further research, it appears to come down to air dates. So, ignore the part about WWE making shit up. Like I said, it was early!

Doing some rough math... Bockwinkel's two reigns with Heenan as his manager had him with 2,181 days as champion Adding Reign's current ongoing run, with Lesnar's reigns since his return comes up somewhere around 1532 days. We can get that up to around 1735 if we add Brock's first two runs in 2003. (These numbers may be slightly skewed due to air dates, WWE making shit up, and me doing math at 6:30 in the morning)

I am super happy you guys decided to put the title on Butch. He is a guy who I never thought much of as a kid cause I only ever saw his "Natural" run. Going back and seeing what I missed as an adult has turned me into a huge Reed fan. His arc in this game has absolutely made him worthy of this honor, and I hope he has a good, long run on top. Watts comes down hard with the suspensions, but Ernie Ladd looks to send quite the message with his payment! The RPM's messing with a Gibson is very interesting! Carl Fergie has an ass beating coming from somebody, and I am looking forward to it. WWE announcing the Survivor Series teams on Social Media. Team Raw includes Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Rey Mysterio, and Dominic. Saw a fantastic reply that said "Nice of Rey to put aside that time Seth took his eye out of his head in the name of Brand Supremacy" What a fucking nonsensical company.

Let's head down to ringside, with the voice of Professional Wrestling... Mr. Gordon Solie Gordon Solie: Hello Ladies and Gentleman and welcome to Championship Wrestling from Florida. I am Gordon Solie, and we are coming off a stellar event this past weekend over in Lakeland that saw new Florida Tag Team Champions crowned, as well as plenty of other happenings that we will cover in this hour. Also on tap here today we will see the debut of an exciting, young athlete named Tom Zenk. The Glamour Boys will be joining us in tag team action. "General" Akbar and The Sheik will be bringing the Sheik's nephew Sabu in for action, and we'll certainly be speaking to Akbar who has much to answer for. Then we will see Texas Red make his debut here on television coming off of a wild brawl this past Sunday afternoon. Now, before we head to the action... Hello Gordy.... Did you miss me? Gordon Solie: I...uh...well... Ummm, Ladies and Gentleman, for those of you who don't know her, this is Woman. Does your being here mean that.... Woman: He's right beside you.... Solie turns to see the leather pants clad Man standing next to him. After a smirk and a wink from the big fella, a horrified looking Gordon quickly turns his attention back to Woman and he is shaking his head. Woman: Ohhhh..... You weren't talking about Man, were you Gordy? Gordon Solie: uhh.. No.. I meant....ummm... Woman: It's okay Gordy. You're at a loss for words. Many find themselves unable to understand the feelings stirring deep inside them when in the presence of...something else.... The lights in the Tampa Sportatorium drop to blackness. After several moments of silence, "Welcome to The Pleasuredome" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood begins to reverberate through the building and a purple light shines on the curtain. Then from behind the curtain emerges a figure wearing a purple cape with the word "Luscious" written across the back in gold. He then turns to reveal similarly colored tights and knee pads with white boots. Wearing a grin as the boo's come hot and heavy, "Luscious" Lanny Poffo saunters toward Woman, Man, and Gordon Solie. Gordon Solie: "Luscious" Lanny Poffo, welcome to Championship Wrestling from Florida. Lanny Poffo: Gordon Solie. It's only fitting that one such as myself comes to the land of sun, sand, and sex to ply my trade. When you last saw me I was being suffocated by all of the redneck, southern trash that call Alabama home, but now...here... I can finally erupt forth like a geyser and be all that "Luscious" Lanny Poffo is meant to be. So right now I am going to go get in that ring, and I want you to send this show to a little commercial break, and I want you to find someone in the back to come out here and wrestle me. Gordon Solie: I... Lanny Poffo: Oh, don't try to tell me you can't make it happen Gordon. You're a man with power around here, and we all love a man with power. Make it happen Gordon, or I'll think you don't like me anymore. You wouldn't want that would you Gordon? Would you? Gordon Solie: I'll uh... see what I can do... Lanny Poffo: Wonderful Gordon! Ta Ta for now! Poffo skips away toward the ring as the fan's boo him unmercifully. Man pats Gordon on the shoulder and winks at him, then Woman runs a finger across Gordon's cheek and heads toward the ring with a smile on her face. Solie looks annoyed as he gets up from his position and the show fades to commercial. -Commercial Break- =========================================================================================================== Match #1 -"Luscious" Lanny Poffo/Woman & Man beat Scott Reese by submission with the Painacle.- =========================================================================================================== Gordon Solie: Luscious Poffo picks up the win with the chicken wing cross face submission that he has dubbed the Painacle. I certainly wasn't expecting to see those three here today, but it would appear that they are now a part of the action here in Championship Wrestling from Florida. Now, before we move on, we need to go back to this past weekend in Lakeland and see some action from the tournament to crown the Florida Tag Team Champions. The first clip will be from the Semi-Final match between The Glamour Boys and The Highwaymen, and then we will show you a clip from the Finals. Let's go ahead and roll that footage. When Hickerson got back to his feet, Doll went after him again, but the referee got between them because Hickerson wasn't the legal man. As the ref was pushing Hickerson out of the ring, Duncum slid back in the ring and had removed his boot while he was on the floor! Doll turned around and Duncum blasted him between the eyes with the boot, tossed the evidence under the bottom rope, and covered Doll. The ref turned around and dropped down for the count, and Hickerson managed to get in and stop a still beat up Simpson from breaking up the pin, and The Highwaymen were going to the finals! The Highwaymen nodded at one another and exited the ring. Duncum shoved the time keeper out of his chair and took it. Hickerson meanwhile grabbed a chair from one of the security personnel seated at ringside. The boo's were coming hot and heavy as The Highwaymen re-entered the ring and both immediately started laying into the recovering Ray Candy with chairs. Hickerson laid a shot across the huge back of Candy, then Duncum clocked him right across the top of the head, and down he went. They then turned their attention to Sweet Brown Sugar who was pulling himself up using the ropes. As both of them reared back with their chairs, the boo's suddenly turned into loud cheers.... as Steve Doll and Steve Simpson hit the ring and each grabbed a chair that was raised above a Highwaymen head! The Glamour Boys yanked the chairs away from Duncum and Hickerson, and when The Highwaymen turned to see who had taken their chairs, Doll and Simpson both swing and blasted Duncum and Hickerson right in the head with a chair! The Highwaymen both went down in a heap, and The Glamour Boys took the chairs and headed back to the dressing room. Gordon Solie: Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome Steve Doll and Steve Simpson, The Glamour Boys! "Cum on Feel the Noize" by Quiet Riot plays as The Glamour Boys head out to a big ovation from the Sportatorium crowd. They are dressed to wrestle, but head over to Gordon first. Gordon Solie: Gentleman, we just saw the footage of what went down this past weekend during the tournament. If you would, I'd like to get your thoughts before you head into the ring for action. Steve Doll: Gordon, it's happened time and time again. We have The Highwaymen beat, we have them right where we want them, and they pull out some low down, dirty, cheating trick and they beat us. You saw it. He hit me right between the eyes with that cowboy boot and down I went. I'm sick of it! Steve Simpson: But when we saw them trying that same crap with Good and Plenty, we weren't going to let it happen! You guys might have cheated us out of those Tag Team Titles, but there was no way we were letting you win them! So while we don't condone cheating what so ever, I gotta tell you that it felt pretty good to smash them over the head with those steel chairs! Gordon Solie: Before you came out here I was informed that at our upcoming event at the Bayfront Center in St. Pete, the two of you will step into the ring with The Highwaymen again, only this time it will be a Best Two out of Three falls match. Your thoughts? Steve Doll: Duncum. Hickerson. We are done playing naive with you two. We are done being nice guys. Two out of Three falls, just means two opportunities to kick your butts! Steve Simpson: I couldn't have said it better myself. This thing between us and The Highwaymen is getting old, and when we beat them Two out of Three falls, we'll prove who the better team really is. Gordon Solie: Thank You Gentleman. =========================================================================================================== Match #2 -The Glamour Boys (Steve Doll/Steve Simpson) beat Jack Spade/Rick Cohen when Doll pinned Cohen after Glam, Slam, Thank You Ma'am.- =========================================================================================================== -Commercial Break- As the show returns from commercial, Gordon Solie looks like he is about to launch into the next segment when a bald man with a beard, wearing an expensive looking gray suit, and smoking a cigar walks onto the set and appears to be looking for something or someone. Following behind him is another larger man with black hair, a much thicker beard, who is wearing a black suit, black sunglasses, and is carrying a briefcase. Both men appear to be of Latin American descent. Gordon Solie: Uhh.. Excuse Me Sir, can I help you? Do you know where I can find Humperdink? Gordon Solie: I don't know where Oliver Humperdink is, but we are currently in the middle of a television show. I don't mind. Gordon Solie: Sir, you need to put that cigar out and get off of.... You need to watch your mouth old gringo, I don't think you know who you're talking too! The man in the suit and Gordon Solie are staring at one another for several tense moments, when "Sir" Oliver Humperdink and Los Cubanos come walking out from behind the curtain. Both Humperdink and Miguel Perez look confused, while Ricky Santana looks concerned. Oliver Humpderdink: I'm Oliver Humperdink! Who the heck are you? The man in the suit lights up with an obviously fake smile and extends his hand to Humperdink. Humperdink just stares at him, until the man shakes his head okay and pulls his hands back. I understand my friend. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jose Estrada, but everyone calls me "El Jefe", and the man behind me is my business associate Fidel. Oliver Humpderdink: Okay! Give me one reason I should care! Jose Estrada: How about I give you Ten Thousand. Estrada snaps his fingers and Fidel opens the briefcase revealing that it is full of money. Humperdink's eyes light up like a Christmas tree, and his whole demeanor gets much friendlier! Oliver Humpderdink: Hey! okay my friend! What's that for! Jose Estrada: I understand that as a manager, you hold the contracts for Ricky and Miguel. I would like to offer you this Ten Thousand Dollars for those contracts. Oliver Humpderdink: Ten Grand! For These Two Losers? SOLD!! Fidel snaps the briefcase shut and hands it to Humperdink. He quickly shakes hands with Estrada, grabs the briefcase and heads for the back without so much as looking at Ricky and Miguel. Estrada eyes the two men whose contracts he apparently just purchased and then cracks a big grin as he extends his hand to Ricky who looks relieved as he happily shakes it. Jose Estrada: For anyone out there who doesn't know, this right here.... "El Jefe" along with Fidel and Ricky is The Cartel. What that means, is bad news for anyone and everyone who gets in our way here in Florida. Let's go boys. Miguel Perez: What about me Jefe? Estrada turns and looks at Perez for a long moment, gives him an up and down appraisal and nods his head. Jose Estrada: You're right. I forgot all about you cabron. Fidel, Ricky.... break his arm. Miguel Perez: Wait.... What..... Ricky Santana quickly blindsides his former partner with a wicked forearm shot to the head that sends him crashing to the floor. Fidel quickly joins in on the beating, stomping on the fallen Perez as Santana goes to ringside and jerks the chair away from the timekeeper. Fidel drops several more stomps into the back of the head of Miguel, then reaches down and stretches out his arm. Santana arrives back on the scene and raises the chair high above his head before bringing it smashing down on the outstretched arm of Miguel Perez. Perez cries out in pain and clutches at his arm, as The Cartel walks away from the carnage, and Gordon Solie frantically signals for the show to go to break. -Commercial Break- Gordon Solie: Ladies and Gentleman, welcome back to Championship Wrestling from Florida. I'd like to take a moment and apologize for what we've just seen out here. Miguel Perez is on his way to the hospital, and looks to most likely be out of action for quite some time. Just a despicable act by this El Jefe Estrada and The Cartel or whatever they call themselves. I'm not sure exactly what is happening here today, first with Lanny Poffo and his band of oddballs showing up, and now this senseless attack. Moving on doesn't necessarily have things looking up either as we are set to be joined by "General" Akbar, The Sheik, and Sabu. Let's head down to the ring. =========================================================================================================== Match #3 -Sabu w/Skandor Akbar & The Sheik beat Howie Dewitt after a top rope legdrop followed by the Camel Clutch.- =========================================================================================================== Akbar congratulates Sheik and Sabu who head to the back, while Akbar heads over to join Gordon. Skandor Akbar: What did you think of that Gordon Solie! Gordon Solie: Sabu is certainly an impressive young athlete, that can't be denied. I understand that he will be taking on "Jumping" Joe Savoldi at our next big event in St. Petersburg. Skandor Akbar: and Jumping Joe will be just another victim. The sky is the limit for Sabu! Gordon Solie: That may indeed be the case. But right now "General" Akbar I'd like to ask you about... Skandor Akbar: Kazaharu defeating the Beach Bum? Ha! Ha! I figured you might. Gordon Solie: Well actually... Skandor Akbar: My Oriental Assassin has put down every man that has stepped in his path and will continue to do so. Did you see how quickly the Beach Bum went to sleep when Kazaharu locked on that Japanese Sleeper? Gordon Solie: It is a very dangerous hold, and it was an impressive victory. But Allen West is only a rookie, and.... Skandor Akbar: Don't make excuses Gordon Solie! I don't care if he was a rookie! He stepped into that ring with Kazaharu, and he was put down! Gordon Solie: He indeed was defeated. But what I'd really like to ask you about is you coming to the ring and costing "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan the chain match, and then leaving with Hercules Hernandez. Skandor Akbar: Solie, you fool. As always, you are telling half truths and spreading lies. While I did leave with Hercules Hernandez after he participated in the chain match, I can not be held responsible for the fact that Jim Duggan is an imbecile and tripped over his own feet. Just because I happened to be passing by that corner to get a better look at Hercules when it happened, everyone assumes I am responsible. Gordon Solie: Are you seriously trying to say that "Hacksaw" Duggan just happened to trip and fall when you were conveniently walking by him? Skandor Akbar: That is exactly what I'm saying Solie! If you take one look at the man you can plainly see that intelligence skipped a generation in his family! Is it that hard to believe that he stumbled over his own feet? If he hadn't already wrestled for several minutes before that point I would have assumed that his boot laces were tied together! Gordon Solie: This is ridiculous. Skandor Akbar: If you mean your allegations, indeed they are! Gordon Solie: We need to take a break. Thank You for your enlightening insight "General." Skandor Akbar: You'd best watch your tone Solie.... As the shows fades to commercial, Akbar is still ranting and Solie looks like he would rather be anywhere else. -Commercial Break- =========================================================================================================== Match #4 -Tom Zenk beat The Bounty Hunter with a picture perfect dropkick followed by a Sleeper Hold.- =========================================================================================================== Gordon Solie: An impressive debut here in Florida by one Tom Zenk who will be a part of our upcoming event in St. Petersburg. I'd like to take a moment right now and talk a little bit more about that event, because we have some very exciting news to share with you. The show will take place on November the Fourteenth and it will be at the Bayfront Center in St. Petersburg. On that night we are going to hold a very special match that they are calling "The Battle at the Bay" and in that match we are going to crowd the new Florida Heavyweight Champion. I don't have all of the details on what that match will entail, but I hope to have those for you next week. In the meantime, here is what I can tell you will take place at that event... The Highwaymen vs The Glamour Boys - Best Two out of Three Falls Sabu w/Skandor Akbar & The Sheik vs "Jumping" Joe Savoldi Hercules Hernandez, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Kazaharu, Tom Zenk, and a returning "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal will be part of "The Battle at the Bay" As I said Ladies and Gentleman, we will have the full details on The Battle at the Bay next week, as well as more matches that will take place. Again, that will be at the Bayfront Center in St. Petersburg on Sunday afternoon November the Fourteenth with a 4pm bell time. Tickets go on sale at the box office this Monday morning. If they think for a second that them trying to make a name at my expense is going to go unpunished, they have another thing coming. What happened last weekend is just a taste of the beating that we have in store for those two. We aren't done, not by a long shot. Texas Red: Sawyer. Borne. We're daring you to step in there with us again. But this time let's get rid of count outs, let's get rid of disqualifications, and let's make sure this fight goes until we are done fighting. What do you say boys? The Spoiler: You claim to be the toughest and the meanest. Time to put your money where your mouth is. We'll be in St. Petersburg waiting for a fight. Gordon Solie: It certainly seems like we have a war brewing and it just might take place in St. Petersburg. That event is next Sunday, November the 14th at the Bayfront Center with a 4pm bell time. Tickets go on sale this Monday morning when the box office opens. We will crown the new Florida Heavyweight Champion on the show, and as we just heard, it appears we will have a war with no rules.
