Okada vs Alexander That bump Alexander took off Okada's dropkick was boss. Okada makes so much sense in the ring.Great match with both guys looking tremendous. If this doesn't get Alexander a NJ tour I'll be shocked. Best match of the night so far by far.

The Kingdom vs Sydal/Liger Liger gets a local hero returns pop. This was a solid southern tag. 1st part was pretty good. The Maria stuff is getting old in the tooth and brought it down a peg or 2.

Kushida vs Sabin vs O'Reilly My favorite part of the match was the Kushida/O'Reilly exchanges. Especially with the arm work. I liked the finish. Sabin seems so low rent. Good match though. Hope we get a final at BOTSJ between Kushida and O'Reilly based on their exchanges.

The opener was what it was. Moose needs to drop the standing headbutts.

Post your thoughts as you watch.

Man my buddy Chad just mentioned that all the BOSJ are going to be up on NJ World. Most will up on demand later in the day as opposed to live, but who cares.

I thought the show was a thumbs in the middle and was pretty shocked that mine was one of only 3 that put it in the middle . No thumbs down , and 50 something thumbs up according to the Observer poll.

Also do you guys think that the Hart Foundation vs Killer Bees matches are the most hit or matches maybe in the history of wrestling. -
Tag Teams Back Again Podcast Thread

Marty by cutting edge are you saying better? To me the scene peaked in the 80's. Do you think the Bulldogs ushering in this new style eventually hurt the tag team scene? -
A super fun promotion where you got a lot of the key matches on tv.

[Thought experiment] Imagine if the territories stay intact ...
shoe replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling
I think Tracy Smothers would have been an important player if the territories were in tact . A solid promo, could work heel or face, tags or singles . He easily could have been the most versatile. -
That was seriously great.
-
Not sure if it was because the match was bad or because of time constraints, but they did cut Moose's other match where the timing was pretty bad for the 1st minute or 2.

NJPW should have ROH anouncer push NJWorld hard on these shows. Especially the new English sign up.

Any indy guys in Texas that might get a look from Jarrett's group. I know that Raymond Rowe and ACH are with ROH . Lance Hoyt already been booked. Anybody else down that might show up in GFW ? No one stands out. Sammy Guevara has talent but is a head case. Andy Dalton would be a fun underneath heel, but doesn't have the look. Matthew Palmer is another guy I like who's too small. If they're looking at females Athena's made a name for herself on the indies. Some of the NWA guys are serviceable.

I'll be at the show in Corpus Christi for sure, but won't travel to San Antonio for something like this. I live in Austin so San Antonio or Round Rock are possibilities. If the line ups are different and interesting I might do both.

I just watched the Revolution Pro Wrestling At Our Best 4/9/15. I'd give the show a thumbs in the middle. I thought the opening 6 man with the Revolutionists vs McCluskey/Storm/Phoenix was fun and a perfect opener . The match had big moves with some real fun schtick. A real fun spot was Johnny Storm grabbing a kid from the crowd and body slamming him on one of the heels. Not to be outdone Samuels grabs a big guy from the audience to slam, but of course can't get him up for the slam. We get a big dive train where 2 of the workers almost killed themselves. Samuels does a great 3 stooges style bump off the top rope onto a dive pile. I'd give it 3 stars. The other match that was good was Davey Richards vs Marty Scrull. I've never been a Richards fan. When he's not trying to put on a classic he's much more effective of a worker. Scrull was good working the arm. He was vicious working over Richard's digits. Davey was fantastic selling the digits and did a good job selling the arm. Davey was good on the mat, and his offense looked crisp. I enjoyed Scrull's counter to win, but felt he should have held the tights. Again I'd put it in the 3* range. Scrull's getting Styles in June. I like Scrull, but something seems to be missing that I can't put my finger on. The rest of the card was ok. I was dissapointed by Galloway vs Williams match. I like both guys and was expecting more. If they delivered I think I would have given the show a thumbs up.

Well they announced dates in Texas for September. So I'll at least check out one of the shows.

Looking at the lineups the guy positioned to me to help his standing is Strong. Like Thatcher at Wrestlemania weekend Strong here has the chance to have some killer matches. Strong is a guy I have just outside my top 5 for the year in just having good matches and performances. He's a modern day Bret Hart in the sense that he's a face in ROH, but in Evolve and PWG he's a heel.

I totally agree with that.

Zellner hit it on the head. The work needed to put it on the network > the money it will draw for the network in the current climate.
-
It was a baby face match.

Alberto El Patron/ACH/Matt Sydal vs Briscoes/Strong This was a great match. We get a Lucha pairing off where all of them were well done. Patron's and Jay's pairing seemed off a bit. We get some great exchanges with everyone hitting their moves. Strong and Mark were tremendous in carrying their side. We get an awesome sequence that sees Patron nail a tope' . ACH goes for a dive, but Mark cuts him off and ACH is awesome as a FIP. The Briscoe team goes after his back. Strong in particular used some real cool variations of back breakers on ACH. It built and built and then we get the hot tag. Patron in and gets the crowd completely behind him. He gets cut off and plays a little FIP. Hot tag and everyone in. Great run that sets up a killer finish. Man what a great match. this was a ton of fun. Patron and Jay looked a little clunky working with each other. The dynamic wouldn't be the same, but Patron should have paired up with Strong more since they had a real good match a few months prior. 4 1/4*
