Bock vs Morton Man oh Man was I stoked to see this come up. These guys didn't dissapoint me in the least. Your AWA World Heavyweight Champion along with being my #4 wrestler on my #PWOGWE ballot. This match never aired . So thank you Bruce and nwaclassics.com . It means so much to be able to see this instead of Ricky Morton talk about the time he went a broadway with Bock in Houston in some RF Video shoot interview. This is 2 out of 3 falls. The 1st fall is solid stuff. Early on Bock targets the neck, and I'll be damned if it doesn't payoff in the finish of the 1st fall with a Bock piledriver. Here Bock is the maestro while Morton is the up and comer. Bock was just a step ahead in this fall. One spot that I loved seeing was Bock slamming Morton, Morton kicks off Bock, Morton slams Bock. This was a spot Bret and Hennig would use in their matches against each other. I've seen Bock use this with Bret, Hennig,Martel and others. It's cool to see it here and his influence on other wrestlers. The 2nd fall Bock is really aggressive going after Morton's neck. Morton is selling it big time and this fall takes the match up to another level. Morton steals the 2nd fall with a flash pin. The 3rd fall seals the deal for me. Morton is out and he wants payback on the neck. So we get that for a bit. Then Bock misses and Morton goes after the leg. I loved Morton's knee drop to the back of the leg. The drama around the Figure 4 was tremendous. We see the banana peel finish that protects both guys. 4 1/4*

And quite frankly, it is turning into a sad joke. Man were you that kid who wouldn't leave the store with out your parents buying you a toy. I got it the 1st 100 times you mentioned it about Hogan and the list. You think it's a tragedy he's on.

I have front row for the SA show. I was a little shocked they put the majority of the key talent in the main event .

Spoiler vs David Von Erich This is a match designed to make David a player in Houston. He gets a lukewarm reception coming out partially based on his Dad being a huge heel in the State. So these guys go broadway with the goal to make David look like a million bucks . By the way the crowd responded to him post match the goal was accomplished. Things I liked about the match and things that missed. 1. David's leg work was done well. 2. David had a great sleeper. 3. Spoiler setting up ways for David to get the one upmanship. 4. David's fire in the match was right on point. 5. Spoiler needed to show more hatred . 6. Spoiler's heat needed to be more focused. I liked the neck work, but needed to be longer. 7. The finish was perfect to establish an up and coming baby face. 2 1/2*

RICKY MORTON and KEN LUCAS vs. TULLY BLANCHARD and GINO HERNANDEZ! This was a really good tag match. What the guys do with 14 minutes is pretty impressive. We get a brawl to start. This pisses the faces off and they toss the heels over the top rope. The next 2 falls were just a great southern tag. Ken Lucas was great at providing the glue. While Morton was working at a clip ahead of his time. He even uses a rana. While Gino and Tully had swagger and were both great at stooging and at getting heat. The crowd was with the match the entire time.3 3/4*

http://placetobenation.com/this-week-in-wrestling-41716/ Fall 1 Pete and Johnny look at a pretty great mini's match from nwaclassics.com. The guy's discuss the ROH tv show. Did they have a good one. See what the TWIW crew thinks. Fall 2 Timothy joins Pete and they discuss ROH Supercard of Honor Night 1, Progress ch 27, and NJPW Invasion Attack. Which show did the guys like the best? Did Ospreay put it all together in Japan? The guys even speculate about it. Fall 3 Johnny is back and discuss a LOL Edge and Christian show. They break down NXT and Raw. The role of a babyface GM , how it feels fresh after years of it being a heel. Is the role working because it's fresh or are the viewers happy to have Shane on tv? 00:00:30 Fall 1 00:03:51 Lord Littlebrook vs Bobo Johnson - NWA Classics 24/7 00:14:48 ROH TV 00:32:53 Fall 2 00:40:31 Lucha Underground 00:54:43 ROH Super Card Of Honor X Night 1 01:32:34 PROGRESS Chapter 27: The Lost Art Of Suffering 01:58:11 NJPW Invasion Attack 2016 02:37:54 Fall 3 02:38:17 Edge and Christian Show 02:45:33 NXT 03:01:39 WWE RAW

Post of the year!!!

Times change. The footage explosion is big. In 2006 guys were just starting out and now they make an impact. In 2006 Undertaker might have been in the middle of his peak. 2016 he's almost out the door

8 man tag This had some weird rules like 4 guys in the ring at once. The match seemed pretty cluttered. It was hard to follow.

This was a real fun match. With a little more time this would be near or up their with some of the top end MX matches. Like Gino has grown on the classics viewers. I would wager the Dynamic Duo is going to come out of this as a top flight tag team. I think the ride will be exciting. It starts with it breaking down in H-town. It settles down and Rich scores a victory with the Thesz press. This was an old MX gimmick in 2 out of 3 falls by dropping a quick fall. Since the Duo predate the MX it's in their playbook as well. Throughout the match the Duo was so good at stooging and bumping around. You just wished they had more time . Slater and Rich were a good babyface team to boot. Again time constraints kept the match from reaching the next level. I dug Tully and Gino focusing on Slater's arm. I thought the teams had good chemistry with each other. 3 1/2*

Midget Match Damn this was good. Their was limb work, some wrestling tropes like Littlebrook hurting his knee on Johnson's head because a black man's head is right below a Samoans. They worked a midget spot or 2. The key was they kept those to a minimum, but built to them well. This was really good stuff. It also had a Memphis feel to it in a way. 3*

With Sting still being out there, and Luger dropping. Does this list trump all the polls over the years of who is better Sting or Luger. I believe the last poll was won by Luger. LOL

Of course their could have been a more rigid system. Who's to say that everyone would have followed it.

I love watching how things shake out. You look at people who were high votes on guys who you would never consider. You end up finding posters who are your polar opposite when it comes to taste. Mine looks like it is shaping up to be Alan 4L. We're lucky we don't have to share a tv.
