  1. This match is tremendous. I would rank this feud as the greatest feuds of the 80's that no one talks about enough. These guys are throwing bombs at one another. All the finishes to the falls are believable. At 1st both guys are trying their damndest to win this. Eventually the hatred comes in and thsese guys just want to mane one another. Doc is the 1st to bleed. A few minutes later Gordy tops him and is a bloody mess. Both guys are just ripping into one another. Their's blood on the camera lens. THIS IS A BAD ASS HOSS FIGHT. I like NJPW, but comparing this to the last Ishii/Makabe match is laughable. This is so much better. On a sidenote I was at this match as a kid. The finish even worked for me. It's a little cute, but works. 4 1/4*
  2. Phil hit it on the head by formless. If they would have given Everett a stronger shine, and given Busick a longer lasting heat segment I would have liked it better. Everett is good at selling, we just didn't get it in extended form. Still this was really good and tied for my favorite match of the opening round.
  3. It was a fun high spot oriented match. It had a lot of holy shit moments. It lacked a backbone of a story for me. I think this is the future of the business so I better be prepared for this style.
  4. I thought this was pretty sloppy all around. They were booked because of familararity. I saw none of that.
  5. I totally agree with the Gran Marcus take. I thought Tito did the best with Marcus as a crowbar.
  6. My thoughts of Tito and Gran Marcus here. http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/32189-tito-santana-vs-gran-marcushouston-wrestling-52783/
  7. This was fun. It was pretty much kick punch fight. Their were a few momentum shifts back and forth.Tito going after the mask Clearly Boesch wanted to make Tito his Spanish star. Super Destroyer comes out to interfere. Dusty comes out to even the odds. This leads to promos. 2 1/2*
  8. Nice . Sounds like a potential barn burner .
  9. I ordered it too.
  10. Thoughts on Mascaras vs Masked Superstar here. http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/32180-mil-mascaras-vs-masked-superstarhouston-wrestling-52783/
  11. Man I really liked what we got here. My problem was the match went 10 minutes and felt like it should have gone 20. I liked Mil's work on the arm. He constantly was working it and had movement. So we had a fun shine segment. Superstar's strikes were credible. He got some heat on Mil. Everything Superstar did held water. I wish he didn't use his damaged arm to hook on a front face lock. Superstar uses his size to gain an advantage. We go to a comeback and finish. Fun stuff. 2 3/4*
  12. Thoughts on Rogers and the Dutchman here. http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/32179-tommy-rogers-vs-dutch-mantelhouston-wrestling-101185/
  13. The Fantastics are hugging the girls at ringside and Paul Boesch wants a hug too. This was pretty quick. Tommy Rogers takes most of the match.
  14. I love me some Masked Superstar. Just great at storytelling.
  15. Thoughts on Fulton and Gilbert. http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/32169-bobby-fulton-vs-eddie-gilbert-houston-wrestling-101185/
  16. This was a blast. A total Memphis undercard match run in Houston. Gilbert is a master of the style, and Fulton has tons of experience too. These are great as standalones on cards. They are really interactive with the crowd. 2 1/2*
  17. I always thought Steamboat should be mentioned. He had the team with Youngblood, Dustin, Shane, and tons of one or 2 offs. Tito, Jake. JYD, Flair, Arn, Sting, Nikita,Gilbert, and Barry.
  18. Something I thought Charles mentioned that was interesting is that looking at the garbage footage Flair came across as a more brawling, aggressive type worker. I mentioned this on the show I was on that this was a comfort zone of Flair. If Flair didn't get a run with the belt we would have seen this type of Flair. It does 't matter because this is all conjecture. Though when he worked with his old cronies from the Carolinas as champ this would come out. For example his matches with Wahoo.

  20. Nice
  21. The 1st night of Bola is a weird one. I've watched the first 5 matches and it's pretty mediocre. On top of it it's one dimensional.
  22. I've never seen it before. I'll say though they do seem to cut quite the pace from what is shown.
  23. Man this was a mediocre show. I had 3 matches at 3* or better. 1. Opening 10 man at 3* 2. Sydal vs Omega 3 3/4* 3. Okada vs Styles 4* I dug the angle with Naito. I'm not a fan of Ishii/Makabe video game wrestling. The rest of the card was mediocre.
  24. The Ladd Boyer squash was a lot of fun for what it wasn't. Boyer was perfect playing off of Ladd.
  25. Johnny it's not bitching. It's suggestions or ideas better organize the matches on the website. Johnny you are out of line in telling someone to Fuck Off.
