Whoa! So long, Dr. D!
-
Go for it. I can even send Umanosuke Ueda over to team with him if you'd like.

Man.. the Funks aligning with Gary Hart vs the Von Erichs is really something huge. This could be as hot as the Freebirds/Von Erichs and Dynamic Duo/Von Erichs rivalries. Add in Bad News vs Dr. D, heel Steiners, invading Russians, and Studd running wild... Texas is on fire right now.

I like the way that you wrote up the face vs face tag match. I could easily picture it in my head, and it worked just right for he story you were telling there. Same with Morales vs The Iron Sheik, it feels just right for an aging baby face vs classic ethnic heel match, where they are working within reasonable limits but still putting on an entertaining bout.

I agree with Kevin. That Omni show is looking white-hot. What a card!
-
I'm loving Terry Gordy's dominating monster championship run.
-
Billy Jack vs Bundy is a nifty big man match. Bull Ganter almost definitely would have had a decent WWF run "in real life" if his steroid abuse hadn't led to fatal kidney issues. It's nice to see him get his run here.

JWA Japanese Champion Tatsumi Fujinami and JWA Tag Team Champions Power Rush (Riki Choshu and Rusher Kimura) both have signed open challenges. Who wants some?
-
Wahoo vs Slater and the Lights Out Street Fight give us fans a ton to look forward to.
-
Show after show, top to bottom, you keep coming up with compelling matches. Your work in training up the young guys on your roster is really paying off.
-
I'm very much looking forward to the NWA WWC Light Heavyweight Championship Tournament.
-
Imagine how much of a 'hole you'd have to be to get Bill and Scott Irwin over as baby-faces by comparison.
-
Kevin Sullivan and Larry Z should hang out together. They could just complain about everything constantly, without listening to each other.
-
Riki Choshu should count. And lets not forget one of the kings of Japanese indy sleaze, Ricky Fuji. and Ricky Marvin.

Terry Funk Terry Gordy Terry Taylor Terry Rudge Black Terry Terry Boy Teioh Magnum TA (Terry Allen) Hulk Hogan (Terry Bolea) The Warlord (Terry Scott Szopinski) Terri Runnels

I have fond memories of his time in the York Foundation as "Hillwilliam James"

I like the way you book singles matches to set up tag matches down the line. Very effective. With the return of the Can-Ams and the arrival of Piper and Cowboy Bob, the AWA just keeps heating up. Bickering Larry Z continues to crack me up.

LOL at the Magnum vs Sammartino match.
-
It's a nice touch having Hugo and Rickin narrate some of the action. Very effective. I like the subtle stuff you are doing with Owen's character as well.

Imagine having a roster so loaded with talent and potentially great match-ups that you can just toss Flair vs Backlund out on a big house show. What an awesome world we've created here.
-
I'm imagining that cage match as an epic violent spectacle. I can't see how those four in a cage would be anything less.

Chicky Starr!! The perfect 5th Horseman. What a great choice and great surprise. Then Magnum COMPLETELY one-ups that announcement with his team. Colon, Roadies, and Terry Funk! I hope that the roof on the Omni is screwed down tight. I'm also really looking forward to The Cobra vs Mil Mascaras.

Thanks! I have the new Fire Pro Wrestling World game on my PC. I screen-cap shots from the game then edit them in MS Paint. I absolutely recommend Fire Pro to anyone with any interest in pro wrestling video games. I have over 1000 wrestlers on my roster! You can customize almost everything, (for example ring mats, ring aprons, corner posts...)

JWA Tour-Opening Show: March 4th, Sapporo Welcome Back Hoshino Match: Gran Hamada vs Kantaro Hoshino A purely entertaining match. The two awesome little guys bounced around the ring, exchanging strikes, holds, and counters, building up to a battle of Flying Cross Bodies that went on for almost five minutes as they kept coming up with new ways to escape the pin… until finally Hamada caught Hoshino clean in the middle of the ring for the 1,2…3 Patera, Blackwell, & Spivey vs Mighty Animals & Masa Fuchi Inoue, Hamaguchi, and Fuchi back down to no man… but the AWA trio were just too big and powerful and eventually the Tenryu’s Gang trio were overwhelmed and beaten down. Fuchi fought back with fury, going after Spivey’s eyes and throat, but that just made the new AWA American Champion angry. He fired back at Fuchi in kind, and then put him down with the Spivey Bomber. Welcome Back Fishman Match: Dos Caras & Fishman vs Takada & Funaki A fast-paced technical match. Dos Caras and Fishman focused their punishment on Takada and Funaki’s backs. The young shoot stylists went after the luchadores’ legs. After about 15 minutes of back and forth grappling, Fishman caught Funaki with La Cavernaria, and he had no choice but to submit. Mike Shaw Official Debut Match: Super Strong Machine & Footloose vs Bigelow, Hickerson, & Shaw An interesting showcase for JWA’s newest big man, as he spent most of the match begging off and stooging before coming back with eye pokes and thumbs to the throat. Super Strong Machine got a near-fall after hitting Shaw with a Machine DDT, but Bigelow broke up the pin and proceeded to steal the momentum from the Tenryu’s Gang team. After a little more hard-hitting action, Fuyuki found himself trapped in the heel corner the victim of a nasty triple-team attack. Bigelow and Hickerson, in an impressive display of strength, lifted Mike Shaw high into the air and dropped him on top of Fuyuki, earning Shaw his first pinfall in the JWA. Mick Foley & John Nord vs Ueda & Goto A flat-out vicious brawl erupted prior to the opening bell. Ueda busted both big gaijin open with his kendo stick, and got cut up himself by a nasty chair shot before the ref could restore order. As soon as the bell rang, the action went bonzo gonzo again and the fight quickly spilled out of the ring and into the crowd. Tatsutoshi Goto (also bleeding at this point, and also the legal man in the ring for his team) barely managed to beat the 20-count back into the ring The Blonde Heels were awarded the narrow CO victory, and celebrated as if they had won the titles. Then, Foley and Nord stormed the ring and everybody brawled to the back. ***BREAK*** Rugby vs American Football Challenge Match: Tenryu & Hara vs Ron Simmons & Leon White Is it possible for a match to be too hard-hitting? These men attempted to answer that question here. The jury is still out. In an unexpected twist, Tenryu did most of the bumping and selling for his team, and he made the young Americans look really dangerous. Or, maybe, they just are really dangerous. At any rate, Hara took over completely after the (second) hot tag and knocked Simmons and White around with his basic-but-effective Japanese big man offense. A Superplex on Big Leon shook the ring, but it was a Hitman Lariat that put him away. Power Rush & Kensuke vs Tsuruta, Yatsu, & Hase A showcase for the rookies, in advance of next month’s Young Lions Showcase tour. Hase and Kensuke fought hard and earned some respectful applause, but it was the brief but violent Jumbo vs Choshu segment that really popped the crowd. In the end, it was a Piledriver from Yatsu that put Kensuke down for the count. JWA Middleweight Champion Tiger Mask vs Naoki Sano And, welcome back Naoki Sano. This was worked as a semi-shootstyle match, but with more spin kicks. Sayama gave Sano a ton of offense and there were a few moments where it really seemed like we were going to have a new Middleweight Champion… but eventually Tiger Mask made his big championship match comeback, leading to a Crossface Chickenwing submission at the 25-minute mark.

Hope you are all settled in to your new home. I love how the managers were so involved in the big angles on SNME. It really gives the show an accurate 80s feel, and it's something I very much miss these days. Andre vs Hansen at WM!! You already have my money. What a great match-up.
