  1. Anyone buy the No Holds Barred DVD?
  2. Doink came out first which made me turn off the TV right away.
  3. I think it's "Did You Know?". They may as well just ask NBC to use the old "The More You Know" graphic.
  4. Where is he coming from then?
  5. I've seen some 70's Japanese stuff recently from that looks like it's from the early 90's compared to other feds.
  6. Bad way to leave, but obviously for the best. Like Austin, if he had stuck around he just would have floundered beneath the real Millionaire Club.
  7. I think Hulk winning in 90 made him look stronger going into Toronto. I wasn't watching it at the time but I'm guessing they tried to make both of them as equally invincible as possible, as to hype the "Clash Of The Titans" feel to the build-up (including that awesomely bad but effective intro to the show itself). Another thing is that Hogan winning twice in a row probably helped make the end of the 92 match as stunning as it was with Sid eliminating him and setting up their feud.
  8. Videotape was in it's infancy then, and I'm sure promotions put quantity over quality and didn't think about how great it would look on television. TV screens in the 70's were about the size of a large serving plate and a good deal of them were in black and white.
  9. I genuinely laughed at Cena's Star Wars shtick. Sue me.
  10. Coming out in blue jeans didn't help. I was there and although I can't compare his and Vader's pop's I'd say it was a little bigger than it probably came across on TV.
  11. And like I said elsewhere, this couldn't have been a worse time for him to play up on his Frank Drebin character.
  12. Depends on the price really, it's 7.99 here (Comcast's price anyway) so if it's equal to what it is where you are and if you're able to squeeze it in I'd say it is. I have both Netflix and HBO so I couldn't really justify it, especially with my limited budget.
  13. Going to Raw tonight, 4th time it's been here and the 4th time I've gone.
  14. That still does not sit right with me
  15. You mean Heenan and Bockwinkel right?
  16. Flair said in his shoot interview he was planning on sitting back and relaxing for a year, and amusing himself by seeing how they would attempt to cope without him.
  17. The time I met Bobby in a record store for an autograph session (in 1999, day before Owen died actually), I asked him what music he listened to and the follow-up was what does Tony like and he made a remark that painted him as a pedophile. So I can confirm how much Bobby didn't care for Schiavone.
  18. No doubt it still stands as the best RIP segment WWE has done.
  19. Is Jesse's commentary removed from the matches he's announcing? EDIT: Nevermind, watching it on Netflix now. It sadly is
  20. Wasn't there a big number of Bret fans in the crowd that night? Maybe not equal to Davey but still a presence in the audience.
  21. Meltzer buried the Piper segment, too.
  22. I'm sure in their eyes, all the badmouthing we do about him is actually working in their favor since he is after all a heel announcer. Someone should tweet this to Piper, see how he reacts.
