The Bell's palsy part of it bothered me the most, as someone who's spent part of my life around people with handicaps it can get the blood boiling. It makes me wonder if Bischoff would have let it go on the air. My guess is probably, and not because of the possibility of any bad blood between Eric and Jim, but more or less with how WCW was run they wouldn't have had the time to deliberate the pros and cons of airing something like it. The kind of "fuck it, let's do it live" attitude served them well sometimes, but I can imagine that was how Nash and the NWO could have pulled off the Arn spoof that caused so much grief.

The thing I notice with RF interviews is that if they come out good, it's because whoever is being interviewed has a good enough story to tell. That's the important thing. The job their medics did outweighs any mere complaints about moral standing as to whether the show continued. It's easy to say from where we sit they should have stopped it. But honestly, would any one of you who thought it should have been stopped pick up the mantle and ask however many thousands of paying customers that because someone suffered a heart attack that the show has to be cancelled? Of course some people would understand and leave, but there's always the potential some jackass gets pissed and starts an altercation that could make a bad situation worse. If anything, keeping the show possibly going allowed the ambulances to move out of the arena faster because everybody was still in their seats!

Just curious, but how many known instances are there of guys having heart attacks in the ring, or shortly after a match? Didn't Mike DiBiase die of one?

I can attest to that. I went to the ER for something where something invasive had to be done and it was called surgery. I had to specify to my friends and family they didn't cut me open or anything.

I think they should let Cole fly solo. My guess is that is what they'll do until they find a decent enough partner for him to go from there until some type of announcement is made as to whether Jerry will return at all. I found this on Twitter just now

It seems to me that they want to make something of interest to both the hardcore fans and documentary fans or people unaware that it ever existed. It is entirely possible they can cover all the bases they need to in a two-hour timeframe (90 minutes seems too short to me). And it looks like it made it's goal already. Good on them, I knew this would get funded.

I would imagine the DVD or Blu-ray will have tons of outtakes.

Jerry's becoming more responsive, and he's being prepped for a CAT scan.

I just happened to watch Jerry's match at the gym tonight and marveled at how he could do a dropkick at his age.

All things considered, that's the right thing for them to do. Feel bad for the guys who have to carry on the show despite this.

Anybody here listening to his podcast? I tried listening to the first one posted on iTunes and couldn't get past the douche-y comedians he's talking with. I'm hoping it got better from there.
