  1. They had a much better match 3 years later in WCW at the Great American Bash. Savage in '92 was not at his best.
  2. With regard to some of the early WM's I thought some of the tag team matches were the best shows of the card. For example, I have a real fondness for the opening match of III, Martel/Zenk vs. Orton/Muraco. The tag team title match from the first one is great too. For all-time great though I'd have to go with Hart/Austin. That was the real passing of the torch to Austin, any lingering doubt there may have been that he could be the next guy must have gone away that night.
  3. So is this the full class now?
  4. Rick Rude was announced today.
  5. Ice Train vs. Powers of Pain
  6. Big John Studd/Jay Youngblood Paul Roma/Super Nova
  7. I would have rather given money to the strip club
  8. The WrestleMania 9 show was actually a little boring. Not that I blame either Conrad or Bruce for it, but the topic wasn't as juicy as I thought it would be. It got a little interesting towards the end regarding the decision to end it the way they did. Also that Vince and others knew Doink could be a babyface as early as that day.
  9. Dave on DDP getting in the WWE Hall of Fame
  10. It's clear Bruce has no "love" for Meltzer, so I would take any response from Dave with as much salt too.
  11. This Houston episode is fascinating.
  12. "Every Smash promo ever" had me cracking up.
  13. This calls for some music
  14. I read something that Rachel Maddow talked about the McMahon connection on her show Friday night.
  15. Why is it ridiculous? Hasn't it been proven that Hogan did sleep with the publicist?
  16. Rare but not surprising given how much JBL's style owes to those two. I'm a little sad they're letting that show go by the wayside.
  17. My guess would be that he genuinely believes it. I would at the very least believe it wasn't as massive a loss for them because NBC was an equal partner. Add to the fact that WWE was doing good business at the time, whatever pains they felt weren't as long-lasting as the massive failure of the XFL would have you believe. It's funny to me that Bruce says there was this "us vs. them" attitude between his crew and the NBC people. Having to explain to someone not familiar with their programming that it's okay that a crowd full of people is calling the owner's daughter a slut (and likely worse) in front of a live national audience, probably made some of the people on Ebersol's side scratch their heads as to why they're doing business with them in the first place.
  18. Roberts still speaks well of Rude so I doubt it.
  19. This XFL episode is hilarious if you saw the 30 For 30
  20. I was under the impression that the LOD/Money, Inc. switch never happened because Hawk and Animal left.
  21. I could see that happening as a family-approved type deal, presuming the two are close. WWE would be stupid to downplay the WCW run though. He did his best work, and the thing he is perhaps best known for is appearing on the two shows the same night (though I'm sure WWE would downplay that for obvious reasons). Speaking of, is DDP still a lock at this point? And Vader?
  22. I'd think Heyman would be actually. When Madusa brought him up in her speech you could see both her and Paul getting a little emotional about it.
  23. He'll probably be set to induct Angle though.
  24. There's some rumblings that Jim Cornette may be the one to induct them. Probably nothing more, but I'd like to see it happen.
