  1. I believe it's been resolved. I watched one of the episodes that had a Superstars of Wrestling match and the logo went unblurred.
  2. Sports Illustrated on this now. This feels a bit like a "smoke, but no fire" kind of situation, but given his past rep, maybe it's all about to come down on him, and WWE, in the larger frame of things. I really don't know how they could fire him, especially since Trump just congratulated him for something on Twitter.
  3. They usually put up 10-20 minute previews when it's about to come out on DVD/Blu-ray. The whole thing might go up eventually, once enough time has passed from the release date.
  4. Does anyone have any idea why the Jake Roberts documentary that they produced is not on the Network yet?
  5. Kicked out of a restaurant in my home town
  6. I wonder how much better they would be at pulling off that kind of show they did in '86 now.
  7. I would much rather see The British Bulldogs inducted as a team, since they had more memorable matches. Davey Boy on his own didn't mean as much. That said, whether or not the WWE is on good terms with Billington would probably have a lot to do with them getting in. I could see them not wanting to put Undertaker in next year either.
  8. I said this elsewhere here today but thought it would be something maybe up for debate here. Chuck Norris' role at Survivor Series '94, protecting the Undertaker/Yokozuna match from outside interference a la the Royal Rumble match from earlier that year, was almost as bad as RoboCop in WCW. It made Undertaker look vulnerable, when instead leading up to the show they should have had him play mind games or just straight up hobble everybody who interfered in the earlier match.
  9. In hindsight, having Norris out there is almost as bad as RoboCop in WCW. Undertaker should have played mind games with the people who helped Yoko in January, scaring them away.
  10. That would be perfect, but so sad too. I could see Midnight Express with JR inducting them. Would be cool if OMG and Dr. Death got in too, but I really doubt WWE would put together such a class specific to a non-WWE company.
  11. My favorite non-wrestling moment of this match is when Undertaker tags in Greg Valentine. It's a subtle moment of weakness, and of how his other teammates might be a little spooked out by him.
  12. I think it would be a good idea, if they kept each show just at three hours. That seems the right amount of time for a big show like this, anything less would seem too little, anything more too much. Maybe have the first night on the Network only, and have the 2nd one for PPV as well. As far as the Hall of Fame, I don't see any reason it needs to be a big arena show anymore, especially with the Network airing it every year. Get it before a smaller audience, maybe in that much-rumored physical Hall of Fame, and you'll have something that can make for more compelling TV.
  13. So...who for next year? Undertaker, obviously. I'm hearing some things that he should be the only one inducted next year, like they did for Andre. I hope not, but I can understand why if they did.
  14. Is it just me, or did anyone else feel that the marriage proposal would have worked better if Cena and Bella lost the match? BTW, I believe it was legit.
  15. Glad he hung up his spurs tonight. I really hoped for a long time that New Orleans was it, but maybe that was the beginning of the end. Plus this was a much better send-off. Maybe not the match itself but the exit was cool.
  16. I thought it was funny if the IC match went long and they did the intro and everything during it.
  17. Are we not counting Jimmy Hart's run as Hogan's manager from 93-95? And didn't Fuji manage Yokozuna briefly in '96? I remember him coming out at WM 12 with a 2-sided flag, one Japanese, one American. Not saying they worked necessarily, but it happened. Not to forget, Fuji and Heenan's brief feud in 1991 https://youtu.be/fmpRW-888x4?t=49m21s https://youtu.be/nT20L2omwYk?t=1h30m30s
  18. I didn't see any, but during the "red carpet" pre-show, Mick Foley tried to photobomb him.
  19. Sting had what would qualify as a memorable WWE run. So did everyone in the Horsemen, except JJ Dillon though he obviously had an important role backstage. There wasn't one bit of footage of DDP's WWE run at all.
  20. Unless I'm mistaken, DDP could be the first inductee, from looking at the video package they made for him, to be in solely on the strength of his WCW run. There's obviously the DDP Yoga angle to it as well, so that's two things outside of WWE he has done. They even had clips of the Rock & Roll Express during their brief WWF runs.
  21. Lawler's less of a host than he is, as someone else here suggested elsewhere, a master of ceremonies. He just introduced people, basically. The show is long enough, he or whoever hosts doesn't need monologues. This night isn't about cutting promos, it's about people's careers. That gets lost on the audience unfortunately.
  22. Steamboat didn't sound very prepared at all which makes me wonder if he was the first choice.
  23. I think putting the show on Friday is a good idea. Let it go long, and not have to worry about the talent being up too late the night before the big show. I have no issues with long intros or speeches, as long as the people have something to say. And by and large, they all did. I do wish Cena and Angle went a big longer, that was a little disappointing for me as it seemed to be too concerned with fan participation at times than it was honoring the guy's career. Jim Cornette was the MVP tonight, hands down. He didn't bury anybody and he was just glowing out there. It showed and it felt genuine.
  24. I was really happy that DDP thanked guys like Jody Hamilton and Buddy Lee Parker
  25. It was Reigns No that was during the R&R's speech.
