I don't think Elgin did anything worthy of not booking him on shows. He was an asshole in the text, but that is not unique or illegal. I don't think Meltz did anything wrong in this situation covering it.

I don't have strong feeling about Kevin Owens in either direction. Actually probably lean more toward liking him.

Do people who say that end up really being hacked? I think Owens had a "I don't want to be in South America emergency."

I remember seeing this when it aired and was very confused. It would be years before I knew Dave Meltzer even existed. I honestly can't remember the first time I heard of Meltzer. Maybe in computer class searching for wrestling stuff. Where I tried to sort out who Mark was.

Edge being off TV for five years has helped him. With the more distance he builds the better he looks. His good is enhanced and his bad disappears.

I talked to Doug Gilbert once. I asked him about throwing punches. His dad told him go try to punch the wall without really hitting it. When you can do that and make it look good, you can throw a good working punch.

Its more Flair won't even acknowledge how his parents treated him. His first wife brought it up and got how much it hurt him. Based on his book it really bothered him how tight his dad was with money. While at the same time never saying anything bad about him. His mentality was he was an embarrassment to them. I think he took the mentality of he gave his kids every material thing they wanted. In his mind making him better than his dad.

I came from a lower/middle-class background and had a father in prison from the time I was 11 until shortly after my 18th birthday. While I know that Ric's kids "had it better" intuitively I can understand a little of whatever pain/frustration they had in having someone be as distant as he was. One revelation from this doc was how much Ric was distant even from his own parents. I really don't remember if any of this was covered in his book or in shoot interviews, just that he was adopted and never bothered to find out who his real folks were. The scene where he talks about showing off his huge house to his father, who had anything but the desired response to it was just heartbreaking. Well to go further into this. David is at an age where he should at least try to understand why Ric is the way he is. Also a larger point that a lot of kids get the short end of the stick with parents and don't even get taken care of financially. With my own late father I had a lot of issues with him. He was an alcoholic and he did some bad things. He got sober later and thankfully I grew close to him. I also learned a lot of what caused him to have the life he did. I have an older half brother, he is actually old enough to be my father. Even at his age he still waste energy being bitter at him without attempting to understand him as a person. Last year I attempted to contact him and it went nowhere. David is wasting a lot of time that could be spent building a relationship. Reading Flair's book and there seems to be a great underlying tension with his parents. But he will not really even acknowledge it exist. But I think it fuels the drinking and spending.

If, like David Fliehr, my dad was an alcoholic who cut off contact with me, my sister, and my mom for years after they got divorced then yeah, I think that's plenty of reason to be bitter. Well not really. Seems like Ric did a lot to make up for anything he might have done to him before. I know people who have good relationships with their parents who did a lot worse and they did not get the opportunities David did in life. Though again it could be the editing. Cornette said he talked to them for two hours and little was used. I'm speaking to what was on the show.

I don't really know what David Flair has to be bitter about in the big picture. Did Ric beat him and his mom? His dad worked a lot and drank. Which that is true for a lot of kids. They did not get the perks and benefits David did. Megan seems more mature and can see her father as a human being. But David seemed like an entitled little shit. Or maybe not, they could have cut a bunch of stuff out. I thought at best the 30 for 30 was nothing special that WWE could not have done better and at worst exploitative trash. I turned it off at the 911 call. I would have liked to have heard more from his first wife than the time given Michelle Beadle or Snoopy. She seemed to get him more than anyone else did.

I think everyone acknowledges WM 13 worked out better for Bret and Austin. Is there a master list of every Hogan/Flair match that made tape?

I don't think Cena is going to be wrestling much longer. This year he very much has a kid on the last day of school vibe. But it seems like he has a nice side career lined up.

Its rare to see Dave drop his scholory facade to jump in the mud with the rest of us. He is completely in the right. Nobody has championed Flair more than Dave.

You know if Cena lost his mind and did an MMA fight he would draw a lot of money. If CM Punk could do a big buy rate, Cena could do something bigger. He would get killed and has enough sense not to. But it would draw a lot of eyeballs.

I've seen him do it, particularly in 91. Which I am not saying it is a bad thing, I enjoy stalling. I just came across a bunch of matches that were very fast paced. Moreso than other guys of his era.

Where does Larry Zbyszko get his reputation for stalling? I'm watching him in the AWA and he seems to always be go go go. More so than a lot of others of his time.

If Hogan stuck around, the Lex Express does not happen. Lex got his push as a hero after the relative failure of the Hogan comeback.

There were multiple issues, Vince could not afford in that period to have Savage wrestle regularly. But Savage was already wealthy and of he were creatively satisfied, he might have hung tough during the lean times. But the combination of both was too much.

How "innocent" is he really though? Incidents like the one in the airport don't happen because of just one person. He and Paige are obviously toxic for each other. Notice how we haven't heard anything about their drama since she's been back at the PC training for her comeback. They are obviously a shitty awful couple. But as a society we are not suppose to condemn people for what might have happened. He is a dickhead and Paige is an idiot, but that is a lot of the population. Especially among famous people.
